I like this trinket. It may not look like much, but it's passive so it'll always give its bonus. It seems to give roughly 2DPS according to the character screen, at least with my current gear and level.

20ap equals to about 1.4dps (14ap=1dps) But still this trinket is awesome, the hit bonus is great considering that only Very few people have +hit in their gear before lvl60. Also thanks to new rating system this item gives more than 1% hit before lvl60 :)

Also you wont find anything equal to this before close to lvl55-60 unless you are jewelcrafter or the lvl50 class quest rewards a trinket for your class, that includes atleast warriors and hunters.

I still have this trinket at lvl 60 it is very nice in bg because of the attack power boosts. My DPS only drops by about 3 when I change this trinket but as a hunter 3 DPS is alot especially when you have no other trinkets to fill the spot besides the sunken temple trinket.

This trinket will do most people now until around level 64.
The reason is most skip LBRs/UBRs. If you get Bladefists bredth there isnt anything really worth using until Ancient Draenic Wartablet.
Although if i was any sort of melee class besides a Fury Warrior/Rogue i would probally go with Mark of theChosen (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=17774) For the stat bonus (same goes for casters).
Unless of cource you have friends who are willing to run you through LBRS/UBRS.

This trinket lasted me, as a Fury Warrior, until level 66. It's very good. Hit rating for a dual wielding class is very nice.

Easy to get (by soloing) now that the mobs are no longer elites - worth it for any dw melee. The temple where this quest takes place is also a place for a number of other quests (for horde) so it's defintely worth it. I soloed the temple with my level 46 combat rogue, mobs are around level 48-51 - very soloable for a rogue (not sure about a warrior).

Im looking into this for a 49 twink fury Warrior but trying to decide between Rune of the Guard Captain, Six Demon Bag, and Insignia of the Horde.

Any advice on which to choose??

This trinket is pasive with +20 AP and +1 to hit availble from level 51? It should be at least blue. I am half epic dressed and this is the only green item I have on me.

My warrior is now level 47 and in a level or two I plan on grouping up to get this thing. This is easily one of the best melee DPS trinkets with +hit in the game, second only to Drake Fang Talisman and EPIC From one of the last bosses of Blackwing Lair. There are other better DPS trinkets than this, but none with +hit, other than Drake Fang and the Rogue Seal of Eldre'Thalas. This thing should DEFINITELY be Blue!

Magni's Will can be replaced soon after getting it with something better...this cant

I solo'd as a (barely) 60 Warrior (PVP/melee spec). Hardly any aggro...just walked in most of the way. Died twice. Once thru lame inattentiveness (parked in a bad spot for a smoke & got pawned by a spawn)...second, good old fashioned key flail. Rode all the way out on my geriatric, non-epic nag, without a scratch. Went back thru w/ a 48 Shammy and p.a.w.n.e.d. 3 guys and you could wolf down a tuna sammy and slug a Fresca with your other hand. Tons of Rein Steel boxes drop...rolled and won 4 greens for the AH. Some blue blade dropped for boy wonder. Did both Hexx and The Guard. The necklass is not bad and the trinket says you're Billy Badass. Green or otherwise... Kill all 80 + 20 + 1 and enter to win a free set of steak knives. C'mon...if it was easy, the Allied would be doing it. This bauble is for anyone with 3 hours to kill and a tin foil crow's appreciation of 1% HIT and +20 ATTACK in an easy-to-swallow caplet.(##RESPBREAK##)272##DELIM##Uchur##DELIM##

I didn't bother to continue reading after the first few posts from whiners.

Does this work good for Hunters? I know increased AP will but the hit rating is my concern. The ranged being increased to lessen the chance of a miss. Ive equipped a few pieces separate of each other and it seemed to make a difference but nothing definitive. If no one knows, I'm getting it anyway so I'll let you know. Just wanted a heads up so I don't bother equipping and just DE the thing.

As if Undead and Tauren racials weren't enough, they had to give this and the Horned Viking Helmet to the Horde. Both of which are situationally useful for 60s.

Then again, we have Fear Ward and Salvation. Maybe Blizz really does intend for the Horde to be PvP easy mode and Alliance PvE easy mode.

Most Alliance have never heard of this trinket, simply because they can't get it. It is a reward from the elite quests in the Hinterlands. Why it is green is beyond me, but any fury warrior or arms warrior that has yet to cap their +hit should equip this baby until they farm the Emperor for the Hand of Justice or DKP an epic slot item. It's not green. It really isn't.

This trinket is awesome. Seriously. I have no idea why Blizz decided to make this an Uncommon item, when it most definetly is a Superior.

For those that complain, this trinket is only good (in classic) due to not having access to a lot of later introduced hit gear.. There are much better trinkets in later phases.. Remember that melee hit cap is NOT hard to hit (especially if you are playing a race/weapon combo where you have increased weapon skill)... its just that many of those items are in UBRS, raids or in later phases. As soon as you hit hit cap without this trinket it basically becomes a pointless trinket. That is why it is green... cause you really only need it till you cap without it.

Revantusk is really the best place in Azeroth for the Horde... unique fishing pole (best in game before STV contest), and this trinket...
And as usually, the Alliance is screwed.

Would recommend farming the quest area elites.

During a 2 hour period, within the same group, I managed to pick up, firstly, the Blackskull shield, and then secondly, the Edgemaster's Handguards.

Managed to win both and live to tell the tale, very nice 10/10.
