One person can wear 2 of these at the same time. Also, since it's a Domo-item, the person doesn't have to be present for the kill. They can zone in and grab the item from the chest.

This rings add +19.734 healing per Flash Heal. Over a five minute boss fight where the priest casts FH 50 times (19k mana), this ring provides +986.7 healing. Essentially, it provides a free Flash Heal (unmodified by +heal effects). That makes +46 heal equivalent to about 17.6 spirit (which is 16spi + 10% from Blessing of Kings) over a 5 minute fight, with 50% of the time spent within the 5 second rule. What's sad is compared to Emerald Flame Ring https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=35701 Cauterizing Band isn't much of an upgrade if you're casting FH most of the time.

These are excellent healer rings for a priest or druid. +92 heals, along with other healing gear, make quite a difference :)

The argument over flash heals vs. greater heals is moot; both are useful in different situations and no one should be relying on only one. Ideally you should have some healers casting the faster but less mana efficient heals while others cast the slower, more efficient heals. Balance is key ;)

Yes, we've done domo. People might use different strategies but I've found that Flash heal and renew is adequate enough to keep my tank alive for the entire fight.

Generally when I try to cast a Gheal, my tank will get healed by priest in group X and then by druid in group Y, because hes low on health. So my mana will be wasted and I'll overheal by 2000.
That is why it ends up being inefficient.

Like someone said, it depends on the situation.

I am neither strictly casting Flash Heal, or Strictly casting GHeal. I do cast Flash heal more than Gheal. I cast what the situation dictates to me at the moment.

You play your priest how you want to. I'll play mine how I want to.

Whoever said this ring is bad because it only adds 19hp to your flash heal:

Guy, this ring was not designed for people who use it as their ONLY piece of +healing gear (no piece is). If you're making a +heal build this ring is amazing, +45 is HUGE. Nobody who thinks for a second about what they're putting on would take just +45 healing and leave it at that, they'd be going for something closer to... I don't know, +200-300 or something. Most people who get this ring are probably shooting for +healing in nearly every item slot.

Anybody who would take an Emerald Flame over this is retarded.

I am a pally and would love this ring for my +healing build..now b4 you all bash me I pass to priests but once they all get it damn straight Im gonna bid on this Im at 495 + healing atm w/o zg chants once I get those this ring and my hand of nefarian ill be at 733+ healing whoot suppa pally. As many people have said those that are saying this ring sucks compared to some others most likley dont have it or are comparing it to rings from higher leve instances. Priest druid shamman PALLY :) any healer would benifit from this ring imo. However for priests that spam flash heals it may not benifit them as much as a pally due to the fact that I very rarley ever use Flash heals and get more out of my +healing gear since I use holy light more often than not. Also in responce to those that talk about wasting mana on over healing get ct raid and set you cut off meter to conserve mana that way your heal is cancled if target is above your set cut off limit. It helped me go form around 46% over healing to an average of 15% over healing. Have fun and good luck raiding.

Flash heal is useless in MC...what on earth have you been smoking?

At MC/BWL most of the time priest/paladins will be casting flash heals/flash of light while it is druid's job to cast the bigger/slower heals like heal touch. That being said, for priest class someone may argue that spirit/+healing trade off is debatable, but within the druid community, +healing will dominate over spirit since druid have LOWEST benefit from spirit of any class.

Overall a very good healer ring for druid/priest/paladin/shaman.

And if you say you don't see paladins at the top of healing chart, please roll an alliance character and see just how good paladins are at healing. Unlike shamans who traded some of the healing ability for more offensive power, paladins' healing ability is equal to that of priests and druids.

And for your information:

1. Priest, highest amount of healing possible per second and worst healing endurance between the three healing classes.

2. Paladins, heals a bit less than priests per second, but have much greater endurance which allow them to keep dishing out heals throughout a long boss fight.

3. Druids, greatest mana efficient out of all three alliance healing classes and can even outlasting paladins in term of endurance, the biggest weakness of druids is the fact their heals are slow as hell.

Any of the above three classes can top the healing chart at comparable gear level, the main deciding factor is player skill.

One last thing, the best to measure amount healed is to download the lastest version of titan damage meter as of June 1st, 2005, that meter now eliminates overhealing, thus allowing the raid to see the effective amount healed throughout the raid.

Being top of the healing meters is one thing.
As a raid leader, I tend to keep a closer eye on the Overhealing ;)

It's all-too-easy to top the Healing Meters in MC, to be honest, but if you are drinking after every over trash pack in MC then chances are you're owning the overhealing too ;)

All that said, for MT healing at say Ragnaros (BWL and beyond things get a lot more complex) I will always assign a group of five - perhaps one shaman (so as to spread totems elsewhere), two priests, two druids. Why? Because we all compliment each other. We have our strengths and we have our weaknesses but with a balance of all the healing classes, whichever side you play, you succeed.

I find ring realy handy on crit healing which adda's 100 and and just over and add's 10 to healing on Rejuvenation healing over time.

all i can say is, Its a handy ring to have if your a healing class druid.

i'm a paladin and i have this ring - the +heal value is just too good to resist (band of sulfuras for my other hand, unless i can get another one of these cauterizing puppies first) - it puts my +heal up to +273 with my healing costume

ajbaaj, your totally right. I make Spirit a must in my books, and if the item has Sta, great. This puppy has a whopping of healing though, cant neglect that. Ionno, if you got fordring's seal and lower DKP, i'd say wait for sulfuras band.

well so far i can see there are 2 very good rings for a priest in MC.
these 2 are: Band of Sulfuras (drops of ragnaros)
Cauterizing Band (drops of major domo)

I did some calculations over these 2 rings (please note that i myself (priest) dont have any of the rings):

1) cauterizing band: 180 mana = 8580 mana

2) Band of Sulfuras: 345 mana = 8745 mana

1) 8580/380 = 22,5 flash heals*

2) 8745/380 = 23 flash heals*

1) 22,5 x 1000 + ((0+46)/2) = 23017,5 Hp

2) 23 x 1000 = 23000 Hp

* I have not calculated with spirit and mana/5 sec regen

but as you can see both rings heal almost the same so IMO if you got alot of spirit and mana/5 sec regen i would take Band of Sulfuras but if you are going for the good/okay mana pool and some 1100-1200 flash heals i would take Cauterizing Band

I still think Int > sta > spi for priest too. Spirit is pretty useless unless you have a ton of it, in which case you tend to neglect the other two stats. Granted priests don't get hit often, but there IS such as a thing as the random targetting system and if you're taking some uber random target damage from epic mobs I don't care how fast you regen mana - a dead priest is worse off than one who regens an extra 45 mana every sec. from going spirit over stamina. As far as int goes I'd rather be able to cast an extra 6 flash heals than be able to regen a single flash heal 3 seconds faster. Yea spirit is good, but only as a bonus stat. That's my opinion anyway. And yes those numbers are totally arbitraty because I really don't have time nor desire to look up the int/sta/spi totals of different combos and rate them vs eachother - I'm going by 5 spi = 1mana/1sec and thus 45 mana/sec is 225 spi which is high coming from JUST gear.

Lost all dkp for rolling on the fiery mittens (gloves of hypnotic flame)... I wanted these too.

Definitely a great ring for any class.

First off, I'd love this ring.. with 1/8 prophecy, 1/8 transcendance, a handful of other epics including choker of enlightenment, and Aurastone Hammer, and a handful of pretty decent blues, I have close to 300 in +healing.

When fullly buffed for Ragnaros, and choking down blessed sunfruit, food buff, etc. etc. etc. I had about 400 spirit, just under 300 stamina, and about 380 int, with 170 FR with pally buff.

I clearly need more stam than I do spirit.

So Ajbaaj...please keep your spirit and give me more stamina. When I get more epics, I'll be looking for more spirit of course because I dont want to depend on buffs for spirit, but I'll also highly prioritize stam, because being alive at the end of Ragnaros beats waiting for a rez. Im sure I'll feel the same in BWL when we start getting places in there.

I think it's more beneficial to priests/druids as any paladin that is specc'd for healing knows that + crit to spells is more beneficial for them than + healing since they get free spells when they crit. And for the caster rings out there they should stick with the ring of entropy and dragonslayer's signet.
