Probably the worst trinket in the game. I think I've seen one person say they used this regularly, and I'm not entirely sure they weren't being sarcastic. Thankfully it's a quest reward from a relatively easy quest, and it sells for a nice chunk to the vendor.

OBS! Save This Reward. You will need it badly for a Moroes (boss in Karazhan). He makes a garrot bleed effect for 5 minutes 1000 damage each 3 or 5 sec.

I'm really chuffed that i skipped Searing Gorge quests while leveling now. Had my first go on Moroes last night, and as a Mage i was able to Ice Block out of 2 bleeds, but there's sometimes when you just get more than 2.. Going to go get this item later on and hopefully use it to cleanse an extra bleed during the fight next raid. There's a few in the guild who destroyed it already, sucks for them :(

We're Horde too so no Stoneforms :(

So can anyone confirm that this no longer works on Core Hounds in MC, since they are level 61?

This trinket is a reward for one of the group of quests from Thorium Point added in the latest patch (1.5). Unfortunately I can't remember which one it was, and Thottbot doesn't seem to have that information yet.

In any case, this might be useful for some people if you don't have pvp trinkets or the like, but otherwise I doubt this would be valuable in very many places. Maybe rogues could use it to get rid of warrior DOTs or something so they could use vanish.

This is false. Luffa does *not* work against the Core Hound Packs bite attack/DoT in Molten Core.

Thekal (tiger boss) in ZG is a very hard fight and he does a 3900 damage bleed over 6 seconds called Speed Slash... so I would say this is useful for the tank for this specific fight.

We just killed 3rd Kara boss last night. Took us a few tries, but we found that the way to victory is killing healer immediately and one other, shackling 2(we had 2 priests) and burning down boss. Hots along with a flash heal here and there pretty much kept up anyone with bleed effect, plus a bop from pally every now and then.

We just killed boss last night on 2/27/07 and our rogue had a luffa which removed the effect 2 out of 3 times. Luffa is NOT nerfed for mobs above 60.

I just petitioned a GM to try and get my Luffa back. He said that they can't return a lost/destroyed item from any longer than 24 hours ago....made me a sad panda. :(

I got my Luffa yesterday on my druid, and he's lvl 54... to be honest, the only things I'm coming across with bleed effects are rogues in PvP (Horde feral druids on my server are more into bear form than cat form). I'm really disappointed that I only get to use it for 6 more levels against only one type of foe.

No there are no other trinkets or items currently.

If there was, that would be the end of any chance for druids vs. warriors.

You could just as well add an On equip: You are immune to the first 5 combo bleed from a druid, item. After that, depending on how long cooldown - maybe more. Thats effectively a 3500:ish damage shield, only counting rip not rake.

I honestly have no idea how it would offset the rogue vs. druid scenario since both has got bleeds. Druids bleed rogues to keep them from COS/vanishing and it's always nice to skip armor. Rogues bleed druids to avoid beararmor. Hard to say.

While this might not make any sense to anyone who hasnt got a druid, it would be a pain in the ass to druids.

Arguments that trinket slot might be wasted just for bleeds.. well.. Fine then dont add the item in the game. If its a wasted trinket spot, why would you want it? Yeah thought so. PVE right? :P PVE only item then, problem solved.
The only reason you would have a problem with that is if you wanted it for PVP in the first place.. despite official reasons, and if you do then please read above.
If it was a crafted ONLY item, in like tailoring or so... then I might go for it being ingame. Professions allow some leaway. Especially since neither of theese 3 classes are likely to go for tailoring.

Makes sence. Bandages should stop bleed effects. A luffa is something you use to clean yourself. not stop bleeding.

Luffa is another name for loofah, the kind for scrubbing your back in the shower. Strange name for a trinket. Also the luffa is a dried gourd, not a sea sponge. I wonder if the luffa is supposed to just wipe away the blood from bleeds...

Alot of good stuff at 70 comes from Moroes and he can bleed everyone in the raid for like 1k every 5 secs, lasts 5 mins. it can be dispelled by luffa. so if you plan on being remotely good at 70, keep it, you will need it. at least bank it. personally i have it always cause im a pally and we have crusader aura (+20% mount for those who dont know) so carrot on a stick or even riding crop are useless. many classes can bleed, it can bee enchanted, or on a weapons base stats, which is pretty common. So for the love of god if you read this, dont destroy it. ever. kthxby

The bleed effects in those instances were probably never meant to be removed, (No class can remove bleed effects, hence why blizz chose to make it that) and I guess since this trinket was so useless before blizzard must have "forgotten" about it. I mean now it's pretty much dirt trash as you get it at like level 48 or so and you can only use it against something lower then level 60...

This is a pretty useless item in most cases, because how often do you bleed?

I use it anyway because I only have 2 trinkets, this and Carrot on a Stick.

wat a useless trinket; it just sits in the bank all day... i gotta sell it. ever since i hit lvl 50 i got like 6 trinkets. the pvp trinkey u get at grunt, carrot on a stick, rune of the guard captain, devilsaur eye, frostwolf ensignia, argent dawn and mark of resolution! so many!

Well...apparently Blizz changed it recently. Mine says it is not effective on Bleeds caused by creatures over level 60(something to that effect).

On the second boss in karazan he makes u bleed for 1075 damage every three seconds for 5 minutes so all you lowbies dont be selling or destroying this trinket

so yeah, as noted, unless you spent a lot of time dealing with warriors or rogues (and specially if you were a rogue urself unable to stealth cos of physical dots), you probably would *never* equip this trinket. and you, like me, woulda sold it, if only for the bank space. fair enuf. BUT....

for those few who had the vision or care to keep it, how cool that it would useful against a BC boss like Moroes! It was admittedly for most, an almost totally useless item until then. I think bliz should have let those with the trinket pre-BC be able to use it against 60+ mobs, and if anything, altered the current quest reward to limit it's effectiveness. But even that would still mean...it's a piece of semi-useless junk up to 60 (again unless ppl are rending you all the time), and a complete waste of time after that. gg bliz, gg.

Not very usefull if you are Rogue and PVP alot.. handy against warriors since they Rend and Deep wound so you cant re-stealth

Warriors, bear druids, and tankadins, don't throw this away. This thing will make some BC bosses a whole lot easier than if you don't have it. Most notably it can remove the reduced healing debuff used by Temporus in Black Morass.
