Im pretty sure the two ZG hakkari blades is one of the best hunter combinations if both have agi echants, the agi they give is crazy, however you sacrafice alot of mellee damage. Thats why ashkandi is incredible, lots of AP and lots of DMG.

Now since the patch nerfed rap, skitz is semi right for weapons at that range. I would still suggest even with the nerf to agi to rap to still have the CC axe for the int and +mana/5 which are awesome for sustaining DPS for a wee bit longer.

Patch 2.0 has recently changed the agility-to-RAP ratio such that 1 Agility now only provides 1 RAP, as opposed to 2.

This Axe is thus less than ideal for Hunters, as a Hakkari Warblade (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=19865) and a Core Hound Tooth (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=19865) provide a more ideal combination. Proof:

Dooms Edge: 16 Agility + 15 Agility Enchant = 31 RAP

Warblade of the Hakkari: 1% crit + 15 Agility Enchant + 28 AP = 43 RAP and 1% Crit

Core Hound Tooth: 1% crit + 15 Agility Enchant + 20 AP = 35 RAP and 1% Crit

The Warblade and CHT are obviously preferable over a Doom's Edge with the change. I am one person who was hit by this, as I picked up a Doom's Edge about a month before the patch.

I currently got a lvl 53.5 Hunter Dwarf on the Realm: Thorium Brotherhood and I train espiecally fast and I can only train on Restless so........ I do Greatly agree giving it to Hunter's first not just because of it's look's but mostly because of it's Stat's and you put this freeking weapon with say.......... >

Demonslaying
Lessor or Minor Beastlayer
and maybe Crusader for the Dark Look's on such as a Rogue.

But as soon as I hit lvl 60 on my Dwarf Hunter I am def. gonan go try getting this in Blackwing Lair.

I see people go on and on about how 2x Dawn's Edge owns any combination a Hunter can use. Clearly clueless Hunters, and forum trolls write this flagrant bull%^&*. Take a look.

2x Dawn's Edge with +15 Agility enchants =

Flat 2% Crit bonus
60 Ranged Attack Power
< 1% Dodge from Agility
around 0.5% Crit from Agility
and a diminutive armour bonus.

Now, the absolute best Dual Wield combination:

Brutality Blade and Dragonfang Blade/Doom's Edge, with +15 agility enchants.

Bonuses received:

Flat 1% Crit bonus.
55 agility
which equals:
110 Ranged Attack Power
1% Crit
1% Dodge
plus a higher armour bonus
AND better melee ability. Yes ok we don't melee much but it is necessary from time to time.

So with 2x Dawn's Edge you're gaining .5% crit over 50 attack power. I know which one I'd rather have.

Whether you go for the Dragonfang or Doom's Edge is totally down to whether you prefer Stamina or Strength. I'd opt for the Dagger, though the Axe does look awesome.

Warriors: You have better weapons in all circumstances available in BWL and MC. The Untamed Blade, Draconic Avenger (buffed next patch), Spinal Reaper for Arms spec. Claw of the Black Drake, Hakkari Warblades set from ZG for Fury spec. And prot specced warriors in BWL should have Quel. If not, Spineshatter from Razorgore or the Bloodlords Defender from Mandokir in ZG would be fine choices.

Rogues: You also have better choices available than both the Brutality Blade and the Dragonfang Blade. If we're talking end game instances, the following should interest you:
Claw of the Black Drake (Firemaw)
Chromatically Tempered Sword (Chromaggus)
Vis'kag the Bloodletter (Onyxia)
Perdition's Blade (Ragnaros)
Fang of the Faceless (Hakkar)
Core Hound Tooth (Cache of the Firelord)

I can appreciate that Shammies might want to bid on the Doom's Edge or Dragonfang Blade. I'd find that perfectly acceptable if I was Horde, but I'm not so I don't have to worry about it ;)

I'm also not saying that the Brutality Blade and Dragonfang Blade are Hunter only. They're not. What I am saying is that Hunters should be given equal priority to them, with the possible exception of the Brutality Blade if the guild in question isn't in BWL yet, since that clearly is the best Rogue sword before BWL.

Well it appears the average age on Thott is roughly 13. That explains 75% of the posts I see on this site on the Shaman vs Hunter vs Warrior posts that only want to whine and moan about who this is for.
Let me explain how it works in guilds that actually have enough competent lvl 60's to actually raid BWL & MC & Onyxia weekly.
When you have enough DKP saved up to bid on this item, you can bid for your roll & watch your bid go up as peole call BO3, BO5, BO7 etc.
Now, unless an item is class specific ANY class that has merit to roll for it can.
The one time I saw it drop, I went up to BO5 & the bid went all the way to BO7. A warrior ended up winning it. Did any of the hunters or shamans that wanted it complain? No, and all had merit for wanting it. When you spend 10, 15, 20 hours a week raiding instances, no one is going to say "you can't roll on this because it has {insert stat here}"
I am a level 60 enhancement / restoration shaman, and I use two completely different sets of armor depending on what I am doing that night.
If I am in a PvP mood, I equip my armor that is primary Stamina / Agility, and secondary Intellect / Strength. If I am going on a raid with my quild I switch to my set that provides me with primary Stamina, Intellect, spirit and + Heals.
Bottom line:
Any guild that can actually obtain this would immediately ban the person that started spamming guild chat or their forums with the type of comments I see listed here. Grow up.

I would say this would be more suited to a hunter, we all know that they will toss +15 Agility on it, it is also good for a fury warrior....not a really good tanking weapon.

My guild runs BWL. We've talked about this weapon and decided to give it hunter priority. Hunters will get it first.

The warriors/shaman already have great weapons from mc/ony and of the bwl loot, this isn't really what they want anyway. The hunters however have mostly blue melee weapons (or rhok), so they really do need it more.

In the end, if we decide to make it free bid to all, the hunters will still get it, because warriors just aren't willing to spend as much dkp as the hunters are on this weapon. (which is proof enough to me that it should go to hunters)

If you are a hunter, you want those weapons
the ranged attack power is amazing
+36 on one and +32 on the other
and u can get another +30 attack power on both with a +15 agi enchant

thats an amazing 128 ranged attack power all together

Feel free to thott this stuff yourself I very quickly gathered some data may not be perfect but its close I assure you.

7 1h Req lvl 60 Epic Weps w/10 or more Agi
2 are quest rewards from AQ (1 Rogue 1 Hunter)
1 Has a Proc .. Completely useless to a Hunter
4 of em left

2 Are clearly better suited to for a rogue cus of the DPS .. Chromatically Tempered Sword and Shadowsong�s Sorrow both have more than 57 dps...

Down to 2 now Dooms Edge and Dragonfang Blade
Odds are if a rogue in your guild wants a Dragonfang Blade he/she gets it before a Hunter will.

1 Left that�s right 1 ... Rogues can�t use it and Hunters have to compete with warriors for it.

Warriors FYI
3 1h Req lvl 60 Epic Weps w/10 or more Strength
7 1h Req lvl 60 Epic Weps w/10 or more Stam
36 1h Req lvl 60 Epic Weps with a proc or Dodge, Parry, Def, or Attack Power modifier

I wield deathbringer mainhand and brutality blade off hand. With way higher top end damage I would never take deathbringer out of my main hand for this. For my off hand lets compare

BB - 51.6dps, 9str, 9 agi, 1% crit

vs

dooms edge - 51.5dps, 9str, 16agi, 7sta

nearly the same damage, same attack power bonus from str then we get to the differences... 1.45% crit on BB vs .8% on dooms edge, and 70hp from from dooms edge vs none. imo that extra .65crit weighs over the 70hp for a dps warrior.

But what really weighs it over is the fact that brutality blade is far easier to obtain. I cannot believe that someone starting in MC and progressing up through BWL with a guild would not have weapons comparable to mine by the time they saw doom's edge drop. Give it to the hunters please, you can hold out for crul'shorukh.

lets be honest, hunters &*!@# about loot far more than warriors do. this is a fury warrior, or hunter weapon and whoever has the dkp should get it, thats all there is to it so no more &*!@#ing about this weapon. Shut up.

Ok, hunters must get priority on ALL ranged weapons, since thats what they mainly use... If a gun drops with lots of agi or AP a HUNTER will get priority on this, not a rogue, not a warrior no matter how much u ^&*!@ to your raid leaders.. if all hunters in raid have/dont want the weapon, rogues and warriors can start bidding

Doom's Edge however cant be used by rogues (since its an axe, u leather wearing b*tches), it's also not a very good DPS warrior weapon (no where close to being a tank weapon)
Doom's Edge has the highest agility rating on any one-hander, and since hunters get more benifit from agility than warriors... it should go to hunters

Now that the agility does no longer give 2 AP each, Doom's Edge is not that great for hunter.. grats u fury warriors, u now have the excuse to bid on this weapon, since most hunters (that know their class) wouldnt want it anyway

Warriors seem to want every melee weapon regardless of what spec they are. Besides that my guild has BWL on farm and in over 6 months not missing any runs I have never seen this drop. It's got like a lame 1% drop rate so if a warrior wants it, they should take into consideration there is a better axe that drops of Nefarian and the stats would be more use to a hunters ranged attack. Because the chances of it dropping again any time soon is extremely rare.

This weapon doesn't really compare to other 1handers for tanking warriors, especially for being a BWL drop. This weapon can't be used by a Rogue, and Shamans/Paladins will be using healing gear. For a PvE focused guild this would be best in the hands of a hunter. The only other option would be for a dual wielding warrior, which are very rare players as far as I've seen.

I plan on getting this with Core Hound Tooth once all of our rogues have it, and I'm pretty sure most do or have better.

Got this today on my hunter.
It was about my 5th or 6th Ever bwl on my hunter, but i have ran bwl a total of roughly 30+ times, And this is the first time i seen it. Got bid up by a shaman kinda ticked me off but none the less, i got it (:

Most players wouldn't spend their DKP on this item since there's better. Hunters would take it for the stats. No need to get into a fight about who's weapon is it.

it's not that big an upgrade over the bone slicing hatchet, so i probably wouldn't dump a lot of DKP into it. I currently have bone slicing hatchet in offhand, core hound tooth mainhand, both with +15 agil enchant.. waiting for either brutality blade or fang of faceless from ZG..

Just got it tonite on my hunter, dropped off an overseer, and in the same pull one of the other overseers dropped Death Talon Overseer Have this in the offhand with main hand hakkari blade in the other. probably gunna keep this combo until Naxx, maybe replace the hakkari blade with fang of the faceless cause i think it looks cooler :) Great combo though, much better than single weilding lok imo. i dunno, just thought i'd brag about my pretty new axe

So what does in your guild's case, the Zin'Rokh more appropriate for hunters than warriors? The sword has got amazing speed (3.80) which gives a very attractive topdmg for warriors. In our guild we have the policy "You better know your class, and what items you ought to need on" - Anyone can buy whatever they want. Misbehaving etc. results in kick/replacement. I don't see why you set up priorities on items for the classes.

Im a fury war and Id love this, not to say it isnt good for a hunter. If you want to spend the DKP and you have more then me, gratz. Thats how It should work... Im just sick of people saying a fury war shouldnt use this. Its a good speed for a main hand, for battle abilities. I wouldnt offhand it though... too slow IMO... id rather have a good dagger in my offhand.

As a hunter I wouldnt spend my DKP on it cause it not much better then Bone Sliceing Hatchet. And for my warrior its too slow to go fury or tank with.It does look pretty sick though

Every guild has it's own policies, and the people that raid with them know it, so arguing here is rather useless, however, this is how we do it...

The ONLY melee weapon (at the moment) that hunters have PRIORITY on (NOT the only one they can get) is the Destroyer of the Worlds from ZG. This is simply because OEB's, a spinal reaper, and even an UTB have already gone unclaimed by warriors, so there's no need there except by newbies who don't get priority. Plus, the Destroyer because of it's AP/stam is one of the better hunter weapons available to us for the time being (we're at Firemaw).

With regards to this weapon, we haven't seen one yet, but most likely it would go to a fury warrior first if needed (which we only have one of), and to hunters if not. Why? Simple. Because melee weapons are what warriors/rogues directly USE to dps in raids. Hunters only need it for the stats. Same exact reason hunters get priority on ranged weapons over warriors and rogues. "Oh, but I do have to melee in PvP" I can hear hunters that can't get this weapon anyway whine... Well, all guilds are different, but we gear our members to help us progress in PvE, not to look cool or for PvP. If you're gear makes you a better PvP'er, great, but it doesn't give you priority on drops.

this and the AQ hunter 1h axe (Scythe of the Unseen something) both add +16 agi each which means 32...15 agi enchants on both of those and you get a whopping 62.

I would say hunter weapon for allmost 75%. It got +9 Strength what hunters dont need but immagine that a hunter got two of those with +15 Enchants.. Thats autch on your agility ammount.

But it would be nice for PvP warriors to. But more a hunter weapon then a warrior weapon.
