People really should use this more. It's very useful for a caster to escape from a rogue's crippling poison, or for a rogue to wipe hunter poison and restealth/vanish.

These bandages have their cooldown and can be used regardless of the "Recently Bandaged" debuff.

This is a priests only way to remove hunter's serpent sting. It removes 1 poison, and is on a 1-minute CD, so it can't be used effectively against rogues (as their poisons stack). But against hunters with their mana poison, it may be a game-breaker since they can only have 1 poison on you at a time.

I just tested this with a level 70 rogue with two different posions.

BOTH were dispelled by this item!

However when I tested it with a hunter... not sure which poison shot he used, but it did not dispell. Could have been improved against dispells, I'm not positive. Will post later after some more hunter testing.

This is anti-venom but it cures poisons. However, poison and venom are 2 different things :)

For recored, Rogue mind numbing poisons and crippling poisons were not given new ranks in BC so they are still less than level 60(level 55-60) so this powerful anti-venom will remove those.

Even though this item says "cured of poisons up to level 60", it still works on poisons coming from creatures and players over level 60, strangely...which makes it still very good after TBC, so nothing to complain about! imo every class in the game (even healing classes) should pick First Aid up throughout their leveling and getting to 300 skill (when you can use this item) isn't hard at all..people should definetly use this more! The formula is pretty easy to get because getting Honored with Argent Dawn isn't much, the mats are found on many lvl 50+ spiders in Azeroth (even on some in Outland), and cheaply bought on AH.

Someone in my raid "had heard" that these don't dispel the Poison Bolt DoT caused by the tainted elementals during the Vashj fight in SSC. This is false; they do, and can be the difference between life and death to someone assigned to tainted core duty down on the stairs, especially if they're being healed by a priest.

Given the elementals have a functionally infinite range, I've shared these with everyone in the raid who has first aid high enough to use them.

Because Restoritive elixir takes 2 Plaguebloom and 2 Icecap to make, not to mention a crystal vial. It's cheaper and more economical to use the anti-venom. Also, the huge venom sacs drop a lot in Scholomance and Stratholme.

Let me reply as a cloth wearer: I feel mocked, because the counter of my enemies abilities takes a few hours to farm, while he can farm swiftthistle and fadeleaf in a few minutes.

oh and not to mention that this &*!@ triggers a COOLDOWN on all first aid items, not a debuff. I couldn't bandage others!

As the hunter said this is great for pets or others. Otherwise for curing myself I have enjoyed Heart of Noxxion ever since I got it, since you only have to loot it once and can use it every five minutes with no reagents. As a mage I typically don't enter melee but still the Strat undead have ranged poison attacks... it is a good item and I would far prefer it to some recipe with 20% of the cooldown and infinitely more farm-time

And yes, poison is a killer for mages: low Stamina so low Hp, combined with no intrinsic healing abilties, and poison damage interrupts bandaging, so yeah - curing poisons is a good strategy for preserving item durability.

A hunter's mana drain shot is actually poison, so something like this can save any caster. The drop rate is a joke, however.

Its also very good for PvPing! If a rogue puts crippling poison on you, you can clean it with the antivenom.

btw, im a priest, with this i could clean almost everything off me!

The Venom Sacks have a high droprate from them spiders and scorpids in silithus.

Ok, this is dumb. Have you no idea what this is for?

I go farm some Shadow Craft with some friends in scholo. Hey look! I'm hornered all of a sudden. Hey look! I can buy a recipe for an anti poison. Hey, now i've found a huge venom sac, and its the only item i need for the anti poison!

Instant creation everywere... why shouldnt i as a rogue find it useful? You will not find it rewarding farming these, but you arent supposed to make mass production of em, since they are SO terrible easy making. The large venom sacs will drop in time, and you will finally have something to use em for. Thats the point.

Hope i've shed a bit light upon this.

It has even saved me from the very death once. No duriability loss for me :p, but remember... it aint made to save the day every time. There is no I.W.I.N. button in this game.

This is good for people who solo or farm a lot. Iif you don't have a healer running around with you then you rely on this sort of thing and hours of needless walking back to your corpse lol!

If anybody fights rogues... another good reason to have these...... Get rid of their slowing poison. Extremely effective.

As a paladin cleansing a lot, I've also noticed that rogue poisons seem EXTREMELY resistant to being dispelled. Not sure if that's a talent, but I've had trouble cleansing any of them.

And if you don't think Wound poison fully stacked on you is annoying, you're not a healer. Sure, it can get stacked back on you, but I've found that Wound poison lingers (among the other poisons) for a bit after the rogue is dead. Drink this, problem solved.

Also cures you of Snake Traps after you tap an AoE to kill the snakes.

If you're honored with Sporeggar in Zangermarsh, you can turn in Glowcap (found all over western Zangermarsh) for Redcap Toadstool, which removes one poison effect, has no level effectiveness limit, and doesn't affect your first aid cooldown (downsides are that there's a 1 min nature resistance debuff, and they only stack 5)

As a Dwarf poisins dont do much ... stoneform FTW :D my be a 2 min Cd (or 3 i forget) but just fight a different type of monster in that time

As a soloing mage, I found this VERY useful in Zangarmarsh Daggerfen. The Muckdwellers use a poison that inflicts damage for 30 seconds, then ends with a 5 sec stun. That leaves you with three options: forget about it and run the risk of having the stun pop up at an inconvenient (read lethal) time, sit around for the 35 seconds to control the stun or cleansing it with the ant-venom.

It also removes Quagmirran's Poison Bolt Volley(Even in heroic). Really useful in Coilfang dungeons. U need to have 300 first aid and become honored with Argent Dawn. Only farm skull-mans in Western Plaguelands.

If this tops out at lvl 60 poisons, what about poisonous 60+ mobs? Are you just SOL unless you have a poison-removing healer (paladin, druid, shaman, etc.) along?

This is Kinda useless in Classic, as the first anti venom clears 99% of poisons, and 1 Small Venom Sac makes 3 anti venom. Small Venom Sac are easily farmed in Stonetalon Mountain. These are good if you can store the Huge Venom Sac on an alt, then when you have a bunch, then make them and put in your bags. Otherwise, farm Small Venom Sac for 30 mins, and get 50-60 anti venom and they stack to 20.
