You can wear/use the primal batskin set without being a 300 Leatherworker, but, you Won't get the speed increase set bonus unless you are.

Can someone explain why you need to be a leatherworker at 300 to get the set bonus? You're not making any sense.

Blizzard put this in with the latest patch...To get the set bonus you need to be a 300 Leatherworker.

Why add in a set bonus feature you only can use if you are a LW? Why not make them BOP then?

got these today and noticed that under the stats it stated 300 leatherworking, linked them to a friend rogue without leatherworking said they were red to him

I haven't dealt with run speed bonuses, but I have no reason not to believe that run speed bonuses stack. Anyway, the question stands, has anyone experimented to see if stacking tons of run speed items cause you to gain that much more speed? For instance, this set + defiler's boots + run speed enchant? I know for mount speeds these sorts of bonuses do stack, so like I said, I would assume this would be true, but has anyone messed with it?

If so, does it effect your speed while stealthed? I'm just wondering because that would really kick ass to have a rogue with improved spee while stealthed + this set + defiler's boots + run speed...I'm not sure if my calcs are right, but that would basically put it so that a stealthed rogue moved faster than regular run speed by a slight bit even while stealthed. (regular run speed being the standard speed with no run speed bonuses)

Basically, SC Bracers with +1% to hit, making it pretty decent, I guess. With only a few good blue bracers in the game, both ZG ones are decent, I guess. Eclipse are slightly better at the moment, although attack power is going to be less valuable in 1.8 so these may become the best non-epic bracers for a rogue.
