As a priest, I found this staff to be ideal for innervate situations. Echanted with mighty spirit, the regen during innervate is amazing with this staff.

Lately, I've seen other classes running around with this staff cuase it looks cool =) It's a fat snake head on the end of the staff. A female gnome warrior guildie of mine has one, and with orb of deception she nearly looks a perfect female tauren druid = )

The staff with Mighty Spirit enchant adds a total of +55 spirit which means more than 600 mana on evocations. The best way to take advantage of this staff is to switch it in during a fireball cast (that way the global cooldowns overlap) and immedietly evocate when the fireball goes off. Then, after evocation, start another fireball and switch your normal staff or Main Hand + Offhand combo in (to once again overlap the global cooldowns). Make sure to click your mainhand first as the game won't allow you to do it the other way around for some reason.

This is The best spirit staff currently in the game for spirit regain. I advise all hardcore raiders to have one of theese for when your are mana breaking or recieveing an innervate, A shaman in My guild recently got 1 and put +55 healing on it... but then again he has a crappy healing wepon so i can see the logic behind it.

The true use for this staff, I joke you not, is to be put to use in a large-scale Aladdin roleplay. Imagine this as I go through it-- Male Night Elf Hunter comes out onto the scene, with his pet gorilla at his side. He looks to his gorilla friend, Abu, and asks him where he thinks Jasmine could be. From the side, a female Night Elf Hunter comes out with her pet tiger. (The tiger, of course, would be Rajah.)

The two engage in meaningful discussion and just before they lock lips, the Genie would appear. (Draenei, of course.) After the Genie goes through his routines of wild antics that make you wish you were hip like him, all the current members of the cast start to show signs of anxiety and worry.

Then before they have you know it, Jafar (Human Warlock with the Will of Arlokk) would run through and kidnap Jasmine. Then it would be up to YOU, the intuitive roleplayer, to help Aladdin on his wild adventure to save the woman he loves.

I say this in complete seriousness, for I have a Shaman who won this in ZG back when the instance came to be. The reason I wanted it so badly was not to help my healing, but instead to run around pretending I was a villain from a movie released back in 1992.

I am honestly quite surprised that this staff is considered epic. The only "epic" thing about it is the 35 spirit, which is, I guess, especially useful for innervates and such things, but I have just as good, if not better, stats and +healing with two rares. Sure, for a priest you may say I need the spirit, it improves my mana regen, it improves my healing, but the amount it gives is not really worth it when you consider that the mana regen is only active while not casting, and I am always casting as a priest, healing one person or another. When I do get an innervate slapped on my dumpy dwarf butt, my spirit is already high enough to get a full mana bar (as long as I don't cast while innervate is active). The only real thing I can see this much spirit doing other than helping innervates and evocations is to cut down on "down time" when you're on your own or in a small group without a druid. Maybe it's just me, but I think they could have done better with this.

In my server, Talnivarr Europe. If anyone links this staff in trade channel half server will start linking it and and come with stupid comments like " is l33ter then Chuck Norris..." and then the rest of the server starts whining and reporting. im glad im not using trade channel alot^^

As a priest, I wear a ton of mana regen items (I have heavy +spirit, and +healing sets) for most fights because with enough mana regen I can chain flash heals a lot longer than any other priest.

Jin'do's Judgement has a ton of mana regen and with the +20 spirit enchant would be a really respectable staff, however the +hit would be wasted in general, but the mana regen would be a nice improvement over Lorespinner and the Lexicon (total of 9 mana / 5 seconds, decent int boost, no +spells).

This staff, with the +20 spirit enchant would provide a huge spirit boost that would mostly only be useful when not casting stuff for 10 seconds or so (5 second rule, and then another 5 seconds to at least get a few mana from it)...

Guess I'll have to work it out with any mages that go along.

Saying Priests shouldn't roll on this because they can get Benediction is like saying Druids shouldn't roll on it because they can get Staff of Dominance. Just because there's a better item available for a class does not disqualify them for obtaining this item.

Incidentally, the work involved in getting Benediction is so distasteful that I would much sooner take this and not have to worry about it.

And slightly off-topic: If you actually take the people who are calling these sorts of things hunter weapons seriously, you should think about giving suicide a chance.

Here's the clue: Get a +22 Int Enchant for your Benediction and use it in the early phase of a fight. After your Mana dropped below 80% or less, switch to your Will of Arlokk - before get a +20 Spirit Enchant - to regenerate your Mana. This is the best way to benefit from both staffs.

This staff is for BOTH Druids and Priests!

Just because Priests have an epic staff does not mean that this staff goes directly to Druids. Benediction is heavy on +Heals and has almost zero mana regain.

The Will of Arlokk has a massive +35 Spirit on it. With talents in Meditation and the 3-piece Transcendence bonus (and a Spirit enchant) this staff easily becoms one of the best mana regain items for Priests.

I usually start off battles with a heavy Int staff. (I'm still using an Argent Crusader with a +22 Int enchant) Once the extra mana from the staff has been spent, I switch to the Benedicition staff (With +55 to Heals enchant). If my mana runs thin or it's my turn to sit out on the healing rotation I switch to my Will of Arlokk (+20 Spirit) to regain mana as best I can.

Just because there's an epic quest item for Priests doesn't mean it is the end all weapon for them.

Spirit will be much more important to many Priest builds after release of the upcomming 1.10 patch. 5 talent points in the Spiritual Guidance will increases spell damage and healing by up to 25% of spirit. Meditation (which works better with + spirit gear) will also moved to a lower tier on the discipline tree making it easily accessable to most all holy/disc builds.

The following are the stats for Benediction:

+12 Spirit
+31 Int
+106 to healing
+10 to stamina

+ 2% bonus to Crit

The following are the stats for Will of Arlokk:

+35 Spirit
+19 Int
+46 to healing
+15 Stamina

For a Priest who is interested in a + spirit build for mana regen purposes Will of Arlokk is the clear winner.

Although the best combo and the one that I hope to achieve will include the Fang of Korialstrasz dagger + the Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire which will have the following stats.

+24 Spirit
+29 Intellect
+121 Healing
+19 Stamina

+ 1 skeleton defender every 15 minutes.

Im a priest, I have the Will of Arlokk, I will be passing on the EoD (at least until everyone else has theirs) because this staff is more than a match for Benediction/Anathema. Why? Because of the spirit bonus. Especially in 1.10, this gets you close to the nice round 400 spirit mark, with spiritual guidance it adds up to +100 to damage and healing.

Any "decent" endurance priest will have at least 400 spirit in good gear, they will also have about 400+ healing modifiers in one way or another. add to this any mp5 gear they have and you sit at approximately 150mp2 seconds outside the 5second rule and about 40mp2 inside the 5second rule.

now, if you are on dispel/spot healing, by all means use benediction for the +heals and int bonus, dont screw the rest of us who spend 70% of our time outside the 5second rule over by claiming that spirit gear should primarily go to druids.

priests get more of a regen bonus from spirit gear than any other class so a staff that can potentially have +55 spirit is godly for us. im not denying druids/shamans the right to roll but realise that this is the best spirit staff in the game and we would all like an equal shot at it (the only one coming close is the soulkeeper...)

Benediction isnt something you can just go loot. to all those tards who say otherwise i say:

"sure, we can eventually get benediction, but this is here now, i dont have to bid DKP agains 5 other priests without it, i dont have to farm an eye of shadow, i dont have to farm buffs to get the quest done, i dont have to wait 2 hours if i fail, i dont have to watch for other faction members waiting to interrupt me" etc. etc. etc.

spirit is an attribute you get more out of the more you put in, having something in the range of 200 isnt good enough, you need to have 300+ to benefit properly.

i would much rather have a near endless supply of mana rather than some nice burst heals and have to wait 2 minutes to regenerate it all back

A majority of people insisting only one class deserves an item (generally their class), with a tiny minority actually making worthwhile statements.

Admittedly when I first got this as a resto shaman I didn't fully understand the role of the weapon - it merely had better +healing and caster stats than my current 1h+Shield combo. It was also 2h, which meant it dealt more DPS in situations where Resto shaman melee is acceptable.

Currently I have much better plans for it, as I've learned to swap weapons frequently during combat according to my needs. My initial weapon setup will be Aurastone Hammer (+55 heal enchant) + Lei of the Lifegiver. This gives me superior +healing and a nice 8mana/5sec regen while casting. I switch to a shield when appropriate. If I haven't cast for 5 seconds, I switch to Will of Arlokk (+20 spirit enchant) and regen fast.

Could a priest use it better? Sure. But does that mean no other class can use it? No, that's preposterous!

Ever notice that every post for every weapon on every thread is the same? Any gear of any type that can benefit any class and is NOT class specific will be and can be rolled on by anybody. I have a pally in my guild that has cloth healing gear just in case he is the main healer. Play how you want, with what gear you want. Bein' a cookie cutter toon is boooooring. =P

This staff is mainly druid, just to accept, benediction arent THAT hard to get. But that sure not mean that Will of Arlokk arent good for priests. I got it myself (priest) and i <3 it. But i only got it becouse the dr00ds didnt need it.
The thing is, that if u rly want Benediction, it wont take u long to get it. Its not impossible at all to grind The eye of Shadow, and if you have eye of shadow, you prob get prio for Eye of Divinity when it drops from Domo.
But if youre guild doesnt have mc on grinding status, or not doing it at all, then I think its fair to let priests have the same prio as the druids.

Imo, all priests should get Benediction AND Will of Arlokk as end game staffs. Benediction for healing and Will of Arlokk for regening mana midfight. (switching staffs)

Personally as a mage I want this item, but under no circumstances will i take it from anyone who will use it. The only reason i want this is to +20 spirit enchant it and switch to it when i do Evocation, it would give you 825 more mana then a staff or onehand/offhand with 0 spirit would give.

Sadly i'll prolly never see this staff in my inventory, and will have to stick with an enchanted soulkeeper.

This staff is most likely now, a druid staff. This is due to the patch "Before The Storm", in which druids get tree form. Enchanted, this staff gives +55 spirit, and 25% of your spirit is converted directly into +healing when you are in tree form. Yes, all of your party members recieve 13.75 healing from this staff alone. So for a druid, this staff is now
+15 Stamina
+19 Intellect
+35 Spirit
Equip: Increases healing done by spells and effects by up to 114.75 (13.75 to all party members, 68.75 total plus the 46 base).
which beats out the regular version. Priests, just pick up Zulian Scepter of Rites (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=53630) and a Lei of the Lifegiver (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=40571) until you get Benediction, if you can't take having a far inferior set.
+9 Stamina
+8 Intellect
Equip: Increases healing done by spells and effects by up to 79.
Equip: Restores 7 mana per 5 sec.
vs
+15 Stamina
+19 Intellect
+35 Spirit
Equip: Increases healing done by spells and effects by up to 46

+33 healing.
Arguably far easier to obtain.
+13.75 healing to up to 5 healers (including you, priests) in your party.

Granted, Will of Arlokk is better in my opinion, but it is more useful in the hands of druids now, due to the tree form. Over twice the +healing for druids, assuming you have healers in your group, which you can always send a tell to the raid leader asking him to set it up so that your tree bonus gets to the maximum # of people. Open to arguments.

I got this in ZG today. I had the coilfang hammer of renewal and an off hand. In the end until i get it enchanted they r way better but its nice to use it for rotations cause of the spirit. Plus i really wanted a cool healing staff

I have this with +20 spirit enchant, and I dont even want to spend dkp on the EOD now. I have Argent Crusader (30 int) with a 22 int enchant on it which I use as my opening staff, giving me a mana pool of almost exactly the same as benediction, and after the first few heals i swap back to this baby. We are downing Razorgore, Rag and Ony on a regular basis so the 3 piece transc is not far away, and with the meditation talents, this staff is by far and away the best option for an endgame priest as the main staff. Kind of sad to waste a Benediction on someone with this staff IMO.

I'm a 60 priest and I've just started doing ZG with a group. We haven't downed Arlokk yet but we're making steady progress.

If this drops from her, I'm sure rolling on it tho. We're not capable to do MC yet (not enough people steadily online) and even if we did it'd be ages for me to get my Eye of Divinity, and I'd have to get Eye of Shadow at that.

This staff has AMAZING stats for a priest as well, it's got great graphics (I find Bene to be ugly) and since spirit will turn into +healing in 1.10 (if you spec Spiritual Guidance) it might just be almost as good as Benediction. (with a +55 healing or +20 spi enchant especially)
I say nobody should be calling this a Druid priority, since it depends very much on what your guild is capable of and how you are all geared.

I, as raidleader, will just as happily let priests choose to roll on this, tho I will tell them to keep in mind that they might have Benediction coming to them, and that they should choose in the best interest of the raidgroup, not their own.

This is a good staff for Priests for switching. Enchant this one with +22 Spirit (for +57 spir), Staff of Dominance with +22 int (for +59 int), and Benediction with +55 Heal (for +126 heal). Then start encounters with SoD for max int, then switch to Benediction, and for long fights where you need the added mana regen, switch to this. For guilds that can't do MC yet, this is an excellent staff for Priests. I've been on several kills for this encounter, and haven't see the staff drop yet. Maybe it did once. After you do so many it all starts to blur. There are a couple of good blue staffs you can use this same concept with, just pick how you want to buff them. Staff of Mage Halefire (world drop?) and the Argent staff that comes from a quest line where you have to kill the Baron in Strat for his head, in a 5 man group.

Getting the materials for those enchants is still a lot of work, but you don't have to be in a high end raiding guild to get them.

LOL, now thats a funny comment :) People that say that have no idea how much spirit effects all healers, especially priests aswell as druids. This is the best staff for switching if your a priest. Yes we do have Benedicton, but in long boss fights switching weapons is so usefull and this is the staff i cant wait to get, just need the dam thing to actually drop now :(

ALL priests/druids should be slitting throats to get this staff. This includes healers from BWL guilds. I am in a BWL cleaing guild so I would know ;p.

Why? Becuase this is easilly the best spirit weapon in the game. Swapping weapons is almost instant, and if you slap +20 spirit on this, you will be increasing your spirt, if you have benediction, from 12 to 55. So, 43 spirit.

So your rotating with your healing partner, and your out of mana, so your sitting back not casting. Slap on this staff and you are getting 5.6 extra mana back every second, that adds up fast.

All the healers in my guild are now rolling for it in ZG once I explained it to em :D.

It's sooo hard to find the right enchant for this...(yea, poor me!)

+20 spi? Yes - if you only want to use it for regen in healing rotation. No - if you want an allround weapon and don't like to switch weapons in every boss fight.

+22 int? Yes - to compensate for the rather low int on it. No - if you think the 35 spi already compensate for that.

+55 heal? Yes - because the +46 heal could need a push too. No - because that would make a PvE-only weapon. You might want to use it for PvP too because of the high spi...and int can be used more flexible (e.g. shapeshifting for druids).

Use up the mana from the int on benediction, then switch to this stave (with meditation, or 15% from trans, of course), and I can imagine going for a looooong time healing.

It´s a mage weapon..Crap for every healer,healers have benediction,staff of rampart growth etc.etc... But for a mage it´s best spirit weapon in game!
I´m gonna get it,enchant 20spi and perhaps finally restore full mana with evocation x)

I have a 60 resto druid and 60 disc priest. Both toons main stat is spirit. I can tell you spirit works wonders for a druid..even if you think it's mostly a priest stat..nope. I don't care if shamans or druids or priests want to roll against me on this. It's good for ALL Of us. That crap about druids being secondary is a bunch of BS. Players are secondary in skill level, not classes.

I've seen every healing class outheal the other at some point as I'm sure you have..anyway...That's all. x)

now we got 2 priests in our guild with this beauty and i dont think u can get anything better till u get ur hands on bene!

Well, this is purely a healer staff, both for priests and druids.

But absolutely no mage staff, since the added spelleffect only applies
to healingspells and effects.

Read before you post a remark about the item in question.
Mages do not benefit from this besides the stats, and there are better staffs out there for mages that will benefit with both stats and xtra spelldmg.

We ignore shamans when it comes to this staff because shamans get no use from spirit, and the spirit on this staff is the only reason druids and priests want it.

Got this last night first Arlokk kill on the Horde Side of my server and I won it.

Great staff for a resto shaman like me. Just can't decide what enchant to get on it, I was thinking the +55 to healing spells which would basically give me a shaman version of Benediction.

I got my staff yesterday. Actually had to out-bid a priest to get it :/

Damn priest; you get Benediction thrown after you, but us druids must fight blood and nail to get a decent staff (mages/locks want staff of dominance, priests wants will of arlokk) :(

Anyhow, with some +22 int, this staff has almost same manapool as my sorcerous dagger (with +22int) + ancient cornerstone grimoire, and loads better MR :)

for the people who sed you cant mana regen during combat you can.. called meditation, learn the preist tress's :P.
also more sprit you get the more +healing you have..

25% of spirt can be transfered to +healing/damage for a preist.

i ave to main set's my mana regen or my +healing,

only 0.5 epix, but this staff rest is blue,
i can got +97 mana per 5 with 290 spirt, +200 healing (6200 mana)
or
50 mana per 5 with 350 sprit with +480 healing :P (6000)

since update this is a very nice staff for preist and i wd say.. maybe (cause of position in game, way b4 bene.) this staff is better for priest than druid.. good for both but.. last update changed that..

This nice little piece of healing thingy just dropped last night at 02:49 in the morning. we'd been killing in zg since 05:00 in the evening, so people where a little tired. but this nice one dropped, and it was a happy ending to the raid!

The staff is clearly for a druid, although priests might want to roll-they have better staffs for them. As for tha Staff of Dominance, it's good for balance druids, and resto druids should get Will of Arlokk. If the priests don't want benediction, that's their problem. it;s like druids rolling on Devout instead of WH.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I've read a lot about that, as well as talked to numerous people about spirit during battles. It only helps when you're out of combat.

I had this staff drop for me last night after soooo many ZG runs. ended up putting a +22 intell, but was contemplating a +55 Healing spell bonus. Went with the +22 intell after seeing my mana come close to dipping below 5000 without it.

Druid staff, no question about it. Priests have so many better options for staves in the game, as we druids do not. It'd be plain mean to roll on it over a druid.

Coolest looking staff in the game too :)

Mage staff.

"But healing power healer item" - no. Healers have a plethora of better options than this iLVL 65 garbage, and will not hesitate to vendor/disenchant it once they get something better. And better things are available everywhere aplenty.

A mage will keep it for the entirety of Classic for evocations. Slap a +20 spirit on it, and a total of +55 spirit will add 880 mana to your evocation. No other available weapon adds more spirit for mages. Not even Atiesh. And weapons are swappable even in combat.
