Since any druid going for this will most likley have 5/5 Heart of the Wild, this baby is pure awesome for feral druids!

41 strength = 82 attack power in bear.
41 strength + 20% = 49.2 strength = 98.4 attack power in cat

19 stamina + 20% = 22.8 = 228 health in bear

For tanking druids there are better things around, some easier than this, but for cat druids, this staff is especially badass.

seems to me you never heared the tale of reneward with the staff(stack). he is a brother in arms of wilhelm of orange in an old german heroes tale i think(maybe it was a different story... dunno). a man 7 feet tall, armed with an pole of iron (not to mix up with the polearm). i remember imagining a scene of a guy in chainmail, crushing through waves of men by smashing them with this pole... you are pissing on his legacy by saying warriors with staves make no sense

Heart of the wild gives us 20% more stamina in bear form and 20% more strength in cat form. Most druids will already have 300 in staves while a warrior trying to level his staff skill from 0 will take hours of grinding.

41 strength + 20% = 49.2 strength = 98.4 attackpower
19 stamina + 20% = 22.8 = 228 health

This is more a druid staff than anything else if you're going for straight out attack power. The health boost over the bonecrusher and impervious giant is also excellent. It's like a fist of Omokk except with more kick.

There is honestly much much better weapons out there for warriors, shamans etc.

My question is why? You realize the +8 to swords is basically like an attack rating of a lv 61 1/2 player, since they go in incraments of 5, making your + to Hit go up, witch is a big thing on slow weapons, you need to hit to do your damage. Plus chances are if your weilding a 2h weapon you have points into a specific weapon specialization talent and staves arent available. I play a Warr and I play a Druid, both 60, I'd pass this to any Druid or even an enhancement Shaman over myself, to many other things that are way better that Id want to spend my DKP on just in ZG Id go for these 2 over this staff.....

Well I have this, as a shaman it's the only big two hander in the game for me that I don't have to spend talent points on and retrain skill every time I respec... It's the only good two hander a shaman can use with all specs too. IE: I will never vend this ever. Looks like my GF's mascara brush tho lol.

Warriors: Ok I can understand that you'd like this staff and have a perfect right to roll/bid for it. However I'd ask you to be a nice guy and do your shaman/druid pals a favour. Let them have this one. There are better more common drops that suit your talent trees in ZG:

Halberd of Smiting +5% crit (talent)

Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds 5% chance of extra free hit (talent your very own WF pwnage)

As cool as it would be you cannot fish with this weapon. It is considered a staff not a fishing pole.

Ever since I picked this staff up two months ago, its brought me nothing but troubles. No matter where I go, what I'm doing, I always get a random tell "WOW! Where'd you get that staff?" Some days, I've not even been onlilne for ten seconds, and I've gotten tells about it! Every day, no matter what, a new person runs up and asks me about it. Somehow, I've developed a little flock of kitten-druids following me about, whispering in awe as I wield this staff, yearning to be like me. I have not had a moment of peace in a city ever since.

Beware, Druids who pick this weapon up. You will become a God among Kittens wielding this staff.

This is such a druid item beacuse those stats can have better use beacuse there are not to many thing that beats it. Warriors....YOu have so many other weapons that pounds this staff into the ground. If you roll for this item and you are a warrior, then you are a retard to the max.

duno if there is a patch coming out for bc that turns this fishing pole and if u have over 300 fishing skill u can pick up a quest that can make this the best fishing pole in the game. just a rumor i heard any1 verify?

Blizzard finally got something right...they just forgot to make this druid specific, since it is pretty obvious to be a feral weapon. Hunters shouldn't use, because you are a ranged class and require insane amounts of agility...warriors could use this, but in all honesty you would become the laughing stock of the server...a warrior with a staff, when you have maces and swords that will beat this.

So I hope that this drops when we kill him, since I am one of two feral druids in my guild.

The DPS of the staff and the included strength all factor in when you calc the DPS of a Feral Spec druid. Ill post later what the exact equation is for that calc on druids but OMG this is definitly a Druid Staff...... unfortunatly even with this new patch Druids have been shafted once again and are now better healers then they were befor^.^ (AKA, still not much, or shall i say VERY little, action in Feral or Balance).

This Weapon rocks on 2h-Fury-Warriors. Usually I use CTS+Maladath, but the style of this waepon just rocks. And yeah it got a ^&*!load of AP for Bloodthirst :)

Dropped last week and no one dared rolling against me, cuz i've been raiding ZG beyond exalted for some weeks now only to get this weapon :)

But really nice für Druids and Shamans too. :)

Lets get 1 thing out of the way...
if saying druids are only meant 2 heal.. u are wrong.. in the past that was said because druids had a 31 point resto spell called innervate.. wich was a nice treat in raids + regrowth + rejuvi healin is just nice on top of the normal heals.. guess what we all have it now.this makes us more potent to be the hybrids we were meant 2 be .

this leaves us 2 other options then healing go feral or ballance
then u have 2 more aspects 2 look at pve or pvp
2 reasons why not 2 use ballance 1. no decent end game balance gear ( but will change when BC hits ) 2. feral is more mana efficient (PVE and even pvp (when supported good))

End Game.. Druids Can Be Tanks ( and with right gear outtank a tank) , They Can Be DPS
oh and guess what they can heal aswell... + giving +3crit to others around them.. hmm... druids suck ey.. i beg 2 differ

instead of looking at the past.. look at the future.. patches upcomming expansion. wil change alot... druids will become even nicer..

no, you cant fish with it, but i think this is more for a feral druid than anyone, if i see a warrior with a staff EVER i will /spit/spit/spit. feral weapons are few and far between, its obvious when you see one, like this staff. Getting foror's eyepatch AND that staff would be nice as hell. but hey, im a little into revered with cenarion hold, so i think i would wait for AQ to boost my rep and get the 1h hammer, which is better than the 2h terminator, plus an offhand, like tome of knowledge (+8 to all stats).

Warriors and Druids can roll on this just how Warriors, Druids and Rogues roll on stat guns (Blastershot, anyone?) I have a 60 Warrior and Druid (and Rogue, kekeke) and I'd like it on eboth of em. This item should go to whoever it benefits the most, if your warrior has a crappy green/blue two-hander, then he should get it, and vice versa.

A DPS or PVP warrior woulden't want this. Period. Halbred form Bloodlord, damn Zin'rhok is better! TUF isen't much better/worse. Not ot mention you can spec into Polearm,Mace, or Sword. This is wasted on a Warrior. Coming from a warrior. I woulden't waste DKP or my effort on it. Wait for Halbred or Zin.

I will say way better for a druid, but for a resto shaman that may not have 2h weapon talent i think this would be pretty nice for when they pvp and solo. Altho it is def nice for a druid since your weapon selection is not as good as ours due to the fact that most of the best weapons in the game are less usefull to druids b/c they miss out on many weapon procs, but ya TUF seems like a much better weapon anyhow.

So you can all see reason, an Attack Power chart.

Class: Attack power (with +15 str chant)
Hunter: 41 (56)
Warrior: 82 (112)
Druid: 82 (112)
Shaman: 82 (112)
Feral Druid: 98.4 (134)

Hopefully that little chart will show you that this weapon is the most beneficial in the hands of a feral druid. Warriors and Shaman COULD get use out of it but there are much better alternatives out there, where as feral Druids are much more limited.

This staff is great for Feral Druids, who should get priority over everybody else.

To address Aakaakaak's statement, Paladins can't learn to weild staves.

Lmao, and why exactly could you not take me seriously because of my spec? 5 points in imp. aspect of the hawk ( that +rapid fire during a boss fight doubles your DPS for about 10 seoconds, kind sir) and 5 points in the pet health talent (my pet is a tank, he has tanked rattlegore in a group where the warrior left and we only had 4 players and we downed him) the rest are in marksman for damage in PVE. I am not spec'd at all for PvP because The alliance is a big @#$ train on my server and I couldn't sleep at night if I PvP'd. I would very much like to know what your talents are? I got that staff off only our second fish boss kill and now am the only druid on the server with it on Detheroc alliance side. Makes me feel so special when I know that if only some of those noob 60 warriors using green weapons had my staff that would DPS more... ^_^

Hunters idk anything about so if they wont it wtf ever who cares. Druids I've never played one...but i know plenty of them and without a doubt this is a druid weapon. +41str and+19stam for bear and cat(i think a moonkin druid would pass lol). So the moral of the story is..AV is easy to get rep in,go pvp kill a gnome and get your mace warriors/shamans, let the druids have their fun with this staff.

If you weren't aware, having 2 pieces of shadowcraft gives you +200 armor, which translates into 920 armor in bear form. Having two wildheart and two shadowcraft is +400 armor, or 1840 in bear mode, over the top of the regular armorbonus provided by the pieces. And that still leaves plenty of room for your warbear harness and woolies. Or if you want more armor, animist or haruxpex gear both have armor like MAIL instead of leather.

Str is not as important to a bear tank as stamina and armor. Don't get me wrong, it definitely helps, but bears are simply not dps machines. That's the job of cat form. Bears generate their agro through A.) talents to enhance agro generation in bear form, B.) maul and swipe get more agro than just about any warrior ability, C.) the ludicrously doubled crit rate of feral forms, and D.) the fact that just BEING in bear form generates agro!

Regardless, this is a wicked staff for feral kitties. I want one of these puppies with +22agi on it go pwn rogues. With this much crit/damage, my pounce attack and a tidal charm, they wouldn't know what hit them.

Freakin godly for cats... this badonkadonk will finally replace my Bonecrusher (Bonecrusher , which, btw, is a GREAT mace), and although it may not look quite as intimidating as a mace topped with a ring of spikes, in the end this is a game about math, and the numbers will make the mage i just ganked wonder wtf i was carrying.

enhancement shaman should look@ highest top end dmg on weapon they can get for wf. so that rules shaman out. unless you suck really hard or you dont raid@ all is the reason i could see one wanting this.

THIS is definately a mage weapon, I mean, against hunters, sooo ownage. I mean it increases strength, which is REALLY neccessary for Mages. Its about as useful to a shammy or warrior as it is to a mage, this is definately the Druid weapon of the year.

This is primarily a Druid/Paladin/Shaman weapon. Yes, it looks a bit...off...but I've had a thing for anything Nat Pagle related for a while now.

Feral Druids really need to shut up. Sure, it's good for you, but it's also good for a Shaman/Warrior. As an enhancement shaman I would love this, yes, but I would not roll on this over a Warrior that wanted it on a guild run because I accept that I should be healing. Druids, your healers high end. Accept it. Take a look at Cenarion/Stormrage/Dreamwalker. I would almost rather you be a ballance druid like the casual players. Druids that live in cat form and steal shadowcraft and other ROGUE gear ("OMG IT HAS STAMINA FOR TEH BEAR FORMz0rs!") really need to just roll a rogue. Feralheart has great stats and set bonuses for animal forms. Take your actuall set armor instead. Or maybe #$%^in spec resto and heal. And i'm sorry if I seem a lil bias or harsh but please, who has been on a run where something dropped and the druid didn't say "Great for Feral!" But don't forget, like I said: It is a great item for enhancement seeing as though you can save a talent point in two handed weapons in order to have this for a DPS two hander and for druids as well, but I have to say through all the classes normally stereotyped as loot !@#$%s (Hunters that want every melee weapon in the game and Warriors that want ranged weapons for stats/pull over hunters etc.) Druids are overlooked.

BTW so you dont think im just a pissed off rogue, I havnt leveled a rogue past 32.

Got mine tonight on my 8/3/40 Shaman. No warriors wanted, only a resto druid on the run. The only people interested were me, the resto druid and another resto Shaman. I argue that this is the perfect DPS/PVP weapon for a resto Shaman that does not have the 2H talent. If you can't equip 2H, this an awesome weapon for damage. Use it in raids? Never. 1 shot clothies with WF crits with 40 resto points? I'll take that.

Got that staff yesterday after a discussion which class should roll for it.
We decided on Druids, too, since as most people here said, Warriors have a broader choice of more easily to obtain weapons.
Since the droprate isn't that high any Feral Druid that doesn't want to grind AV for TUF should be allowed to roll for it.
The look however...lol.. looks like a mascara/eyebrush.
I am still not sure, tho if The Unstoppable FOrce is not the better weapon, since it offers 2% crit compared to just a little bit more attack power of the Terminator.
Still.. the inscription rules!

this one actually is a decent hunter weapon. Not as good for a hunter as it is for a freal druid or warrior, but it is still something that should make a warrior or rogue think twice about attacking the hunter equipped with it. And a survival hunter would rock with this thing, just think of all the raptor strike crits...

oh come on. i love to fish and am a druid, saw the name and thought that is got to be mine. then i took 2 seconds to look at the stats and wanted to cry. what a let down. as a resto druid (yes i am a resto druid one of like 5 on my server lol) this is useless to me. if the warrior in my group wants it he can have it, of course the day i see a warrior with a staff i think the world will end. heck give it to the crazy warlock who thinks he wants to tank =)

Why you all forget that is very very great Shaman 2h weapon. Shamans need talant to use 2h maces and axes, so if the Shamy is Resto/Elemental, that staff is his only option for high DPS.

If i look at the DPS and the +strength, this certainly is a very good weapon for a DPS warrior. However.... there is no 2h specialisation for staffs. That means I will loose my +5 crit. So how would this weapon work out incomparison to my Arcanite Reaper with +5 crit?

definitely a druid weapon, but it's also quite good for Fury Warriors. a good fury war knows how to switch weapons. want to use your enrage/flurry more efficiently? switch to a 2h. using the DW to proc a flurry then using a 2h to use it is nice...however, with the 1.5 second cooldown, i dont bother against most classes.

Im sure this is a warrior weapon, thats why there are specific talents for warriors in maces, swords, polearms, and axes, not staffs. They made this weapon a staff for a reason, so druids could use it, this gives druids 82 atk power and has no chance on hit, a feral druid deserves this weapon just as much as a warrior does, if not more

There are weapons in mc that are better for warrior, and in zg

As for hunters, i can see them using this, but i think druids would get more use out of it

good feral druid weapon, also a very nice beatstick for caster shamans who can only use staves for their 2H. arms warriors can't take advantage of a weapon spec, too slow for fury warriors, hunters only get half benefit from strength.

I'm a druid so to all the warriors that say this isn't a feral weapon, pwnt, cos it's sure a feral weapon in my hands. There wasn't any question who it was going to hah.

This is definately not a warrior weapon... even if it seems so... if your weapon is not as good as this go get The Unstoppable Force... teh fact that warriors dont have a staff specialisation proves this.

Enchant - Icy Weapon doesn't seem to change the weapon's appearance at all :(
