While this item would be great for a rogue, if your guild is killing Onixya at all, be kind and pass it to a feral druid in the raid. They do not get an upgrade for a long time but you will be getting your shiny red hood soon enough.

As many times my guild has done ghaz we have never had it drop. It is almost as if blizzard made this item on an optional boss with a low drop rate to mock druids xD

Ugh if only these comments could be censored. Not a single post with any usefull information, except maybe the comment pointing to Crown of Destruction. Does anyone have it yet? Where did you get it from? Which boss drops it? That is important information.

Not if it is a druid, rogue or hunter item. Does it say Class: Rogue in there? Or Hunter/Druid? No it does not. That means each class that can a proficiency for leather can and may use it. It may not be smart for the non-leather-restricted classes to bid on it, but they have a right to be morons.

According to allakhazam, it is dropped in Zul'Gurub by Gahz'ranka.

To whoever asked if anybody has the Crown of Destruction yet, the answer is yes. It drops off ragnaros, and has a fairly high drop rate. Dropped 2 weeks in a row for his guild. I was there when it dropped and I must say it looks seriously badass.

Got it yesterday. Love the stats. Have to admit the stats aren't that bad for a hunter either, but common if you wanted to wear leather you might as well re-roll for druid or rogue :).

So hunters. I play a rogue. And I roll on leather I can use. You are a hunter, and generally you are expected to roll solely on mail. So how would you guys feel if some warrior rolled on your Beaststalker gear? Pissed, I'd imagine. But hey, what if it's better than their old plate helm stat-wise? You still wouldn't agree to giving it to them.

So riddle me this, why do hunters take pride and joy in rolling on leather?

Just wanted to get some feedback as to what would be best to enchant this with? +100 health, or +7 str(or agi)?

I'm a feral druid, so I'm wondering if I might use this over stormrage helm for tanking. SR helm has more overall sta(already has +10 sta from ZG enchant) and more armor, yet it lacks the ap and crit. Or should I just bump up the ap even more with the str(agi) enchants on this and only use in forms for more dps

Well here's how I see it....Hunters, you should be allowed to roll on this, on one condition. If they are a crit stacking hunter who REALLY THINKS they need this over a rogue. Think about it, who would get more use out of it? a rogue? or a crit stacking hunter? Seriously, you hunters can have the crown of destruction, yet i see some warriors with it. I dont like that but, hey, its good no matter what proficency of armor, and its this same with this. But really, people should use better judgement on whethter they really NEED something...A rogue wearing Eye of Rend should get this over a hunter wearing say...for instance, full BS or LC armor. A Feral druid, this is INSANE for feral druids (as it is for PvP rogues like myself) crit, attack power, stamina, who could ask for more...well i guess feral druids would like some strength, but hey, who can complain if they get this. Shammies... same deal as with hunters.

Got this tonight on Deathwing server. We've been doing the fish boss for weeks now and he finally dropped an epic. I'm the feral druid in the guild and I rolled a 100 on this baby. Very, very happy! Now I just need Dark heart pants off Lethon O_o

I just got this patch, I'm a resto druid, all the way down to the 31 point talent, and then some, 100% resto, more or less. I still farm and quest in feral forms, anyone who says this is bad for a resto druid, and thinks they'd need to respec to feral just to benefit from this headpeice, you're quite wrong.. will a feral druid benefit more from it? Of course, will it go far helping any type of druid, definently.

Have you noticed how many good things are named after him?Forors compendium on dragon magic Forors eyepatch Foror and tigules strawberry ice cream I bet hes a kind of epic gnome I think finkle einhorn is a gnome but i havent seen him yet so im not sure anyway foro must be an epic guy in general to have all these things

Edit:furor and tigule are both related to EQ somehow i guess they must be pretty good to be mentioned in a game

This item was a one-of-kind till the new combat system and BC came out. compared to the average everyday greens that drop in hellfire or even in the new instances this fails :[ blizzard ****ed its old time players up good who used to spent days and days to get blue and epic items like these from instances that rarely dropped em. NICE GOIN BLIZZ! (but really the new greens and blues are just so awesome i forgive them) although that attack power is somethin else... but theres green leathers that have crit percentage so =[

This is a paladin-item. I use maximal critgear at my paladin and I do sweet DPS at MC, ZG, and BWL etc. I do like 80% crits and they are 1k+ -- this is a part of my gear

Hunters can suck it on this one ;) they use mail, not leather, face it :).

As for druids, u guys can rely on your spells and healing to keep you alive, and u have multiple purpose.
a rogue's only purpose is doing imba damage, so 1+1=2: this has Rogue written all over it :)

This helm *!@#ing blows for druids. Druids suck !@#$ at dpsing so they can only really tank with feral spec. Go get a #$%^ing Southwind Helm (its blue, and a lot better for druids). 44 attack power is garbage for a druid, its equivalent to 22 strength. Southwind helm has 21 strength and 24 agility -> 66 attack power. if you think cat druids have any place in a raid you are #$%^ing retarded and should slit your wrists and QQ because a cat will never outdps a rogue or any caster.

I would hope that raid leaders would allow Hunters to roll on this item as well. The attack power is great, as well as the improved crit.

OK, First and FOREMOST, This is a ROGUE weapon. First off because it is a DAGGER.

Now, that doesn't mean that all rogues are going to use. Some rogues use swords while others use other weapons.

Secondly, YES, anybody can use. But if I am in a party as a rogue and nobody else has predominant NEED for, and I need, and somebody rolls NEED or expresses interest, unless the loot operates on a points auctioning system, I am going to PERSONALLY hold it against them if they roll on this. PERSONALLY, Kick them out of my guild. Personally post ^&*! about them and PERSONALLY hate them forever.

WHY, because a dagger is a rogue weapon. If somebody else can use, that's great. If no rogue needs or wants or uses and u roll, that's fine. If a druid can use better, that's ALSO fine. But if somebody DOES roll on it and a rogue or a druid could use ALOT better, then you are being a peon and are worthless to me. Because I would bend over backwards to get my guildmembers and friends good loot. And if somebody would believe so callously that it is their right to have whatever they want 'cuz WoW is such an open free game, then you are betraying people who would take care of you. You are showing that you in return wouldn't do the same for them. A priest wearing this is the MOST ridiculous idea I have ever seen. BTW, crit % on this weapon DO NOT, DO NOT I REPEAT equate to spell crit%.. And there are plenty of EPICS that DO GIVE SPELL CRIT% and Additional damage or effects to spells. PLENTY.

SO LOL to the n00b priest who posted that this was good. BTW, wands are much better for damage at all levels on a priest. And are ALWAYS comparable to their spells for damage. Plus the fact that they don't burn mana. Leaving your mana for PWS, MINDFEAR, HEALING.

If you leave your mana for these types of spells, you can take up to 4-6 mobs of equal level to you NO PROBLEM. Which is IMPOSSIBLE for any other class. Just try to play your priest well enough to do that.

Notice how the Rogues said "ROGUE ITEM" and the Druids said "DRUID ITEM!"? I would say this is a rogue item. Druids if you &*!@# at me for the stamina part you can kiss my ass. Attack power and Crit chance is pretty much agility layed out for retards, so this item, realistically has Agility/Stamina. When will you druids stop taking items to help one form? If an item has lots of STAMINA, maybe some DEFENSE and THEN some agility, it's for Feral Druids because it benefits you in ALL forms. However to show that im not a rogue fanboy I feel the same way about Rogues that take a One/Main Hander and say "It's for after I ambush" Be a sub rogue OR a combat rogue. Not both loot @#$%^s. Also, I agree with the person who said shame on you to hunters who roll/bid on this. Its @#%^ing leather for gods sake. If you're that desperate for gear that you will drop an armor class you shouldn't be in the run in the first place.

I don't want to start this off like most of the genocidal jr00d-hating people posting here. I love feral jr00ds. They are one of the most dynamic classes in the game, and if played well, can beat any other class. However, I believe that this should go to rogues first, jr00ds second, and hunters third if somehow no rogues or jr00ds want it. My reasoning is this: Feral jr00ds have no place in endgame PvE (*tear*). Feral jr00ds are primarily PvP, and this get PvP reward gear. Finally, feral jr00ds can get nearly as good of a helm from AQ20 (Southwind Helm), which gives them nearly as good dps bonuses as this. It just doesn't have the pretty purple name. That seems to be the main argument here. Who gets the hat with the pretty purple nametag. I say it's the rogues.

Got this last night. Rolled a 100 on it to beat the other druid and the 2 rogues in the raid. Doesn't matter tho, they would have passed to me b/c I'm the guild feral druid and I tank/DPS in MC/BWL every night. Every rogue in my guild loves having me in their group for the extra 3% crit, and I do pretty good damage myself with my full feral gear. Any rogue that does MC/BWL that takes this head-piece from a feral druid is just a &*!@, hands down. You will get a BF hood in no time, b/c you are most definitely taking down Onyxia. Why steal this from a druid when he has no epic feral head-piece other than this? The only rogues that should be rolling on this are ones in guilds that don't take down Onyxia and run MC, imo.

It is good for all classes that can wear it.
(Paladins, Warriors, Shamans, Rouges, Druids, Hunters)

Warriors have need of its all things:

44 AP is nice.
+2% Crit is just a need.
19 Sta. All warriors need warriors need sta. (Every class do =P)

Paladins The same. Only if they are Retribution ofc.

Rouges Same as warriors.

Druids need it as feral.

Shamans has also need of all. As Enhancement.

Hunters Has only need for the crit chance tho. 44 ap has no need from hunters. AP = earned from Strength. 1 Str = 2 AP. Huntes need RANGED AP. Ranged AP is earned from Agility.

AP = Close Combat.
+2% crit = ranged/close combat
Stamina.. well.. =P

Please, stop making asses of yourselfes and get that it is good for those classes that can wear it.

Ok. To the person who said this is just a rogue item: Don't twist your panties into a knot, and don't take it so personally. Feral Druids can get a lot of mileage out of this doodad as well. To be honest, if on the rare chance we were ever in the same group I'd roll against you just to piss you off.

Hunter item 100%

Got this tonight on my hunter replaced one of my last blue items.

Personally, in ZG I think normal dungeon loot rules apply. If you need, you need. It’s not MC/BWL or a real raid where you can get gear that actually sticks around. I’ve lost bows I needed with agility on them to rogues. I’ve had rogues and fury wars take so much stuff that would be deemed ‘hunter loot’ by any WoW purist. At the end of the day it evens out. And this is one of the leather items that happens to be fantastic for hunters.
