For the Large Brilliant Shards, 2 players can easily farm Dire Maul for ~4 shards in 15 minutes. Purple Lotus is plentiful in Jintha'alor (Hinterlands), and all mobs can be avoided (or easily killed).

Still the beste mana oil in the game, with only friendly rep necessary to get it, if u can, get some players to raid ZG and u will get the right amount of rep necessary to buy it.

For those who are on low population realms, or realms where you can't find a small group wanting to do a ZG clear - I found it very easy just to buy Bijou's from the Auction House - a lot of people will clear them out of their banks and put them up pretty cheap. I bought close to 40 Bijou's and had more than enough to hit Friendly rep.

Grab the Bijou for Zanza quest, break a Bijou (75 rep each), use the token you get from breaking the Bijou (50 rep each), and turn in the quest for 350 rep. Then just keep breaking Bijous for 75 rep, and using the tokens for 50 rep until you're friendly.

For anyone out of their blues and doing level 70 raiding, this will generally be the best healer mana oil. But it's not obtainable via outland grinding under normal means. But don't despair! If you're level 70, farming this stuff is a snap... Almost as easy as https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=22521!

Purple lotus:
You're going to need a herbalist if you don't want to get gouged on this stuff, but actually herbing it is easy. Purple lotus grows around ruins generally speaking, the two best zones being Azshara and Tanaris. For Azshara, you'll want to stick mostly around the night elf ruins and blue dragon infested lake mennar. For Tanaris, just hit the troll ruins one after the other. One loop will probably give you enough Purple Lotus for hours of raiding. Tanaris also offers Firebloom, which is used in the Brilliant Mana Oil's counterpart, Brilliant Wizard Oil.

You can always AH it, of course. But from my experiences, it's better to just herb old world spawns.

Large Brilliant Shard
This is the part where most people get frustrated. Large Brilliant Shards don't seem too easy to farm, but don't worry, it's just as easy as Purple Lotus if you're 70 and an enchanter with decent gear. Hit up https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/zone=2557 and enter the East Wing (which does not require a key) through the ogre doors at the southeastern end. This will put you on a balcony looking at some funky plant dudes overlooking a massive room with hordes of tree elementals. WARNING : The big tree guys have a special guard type aggro radius and will see you, even at 70, from much closer than you'd expect. If you get aggro on them, either kill them or zone out - If you hop down, you might manage a huge train of trees dudes in your face.

Once you've hopped down from the balcony into the plant fest below, go right into the room with Hydrospawn. He knocks back and does elemental frost damage ignoring armor, but otherwise doesn't hit much harder than you'd expect. If you have trouble with this guy, consider bringing a friend. After you kill Hydrospawn, go northeast and up a passageway, which should bring you to Zevrim Thornhoof. Take him out, then continue over his balcony to the north and hop over the heads of the imps below. If you're 70, you shouldn't have to aggro them, but don't despair if you do - They're not too tough, with only one elite in the pack. Move up again and you should see Lethtendris after climbing up. After she's dead, move your way back down all the way you came to the tree room. Talk to Old McTree and then carefully weave your way through the main room's roaming tree patrols. Once you're in the massive circular room, simply move down to the bottom without aggroing any of the big tree dudes and you should find yourself on the bottom floor with three lasher packs and Alzzin the Wildshaper. If you pull Alzzin before you kill the lasher packs, you'll have to fight them when Alzzin calls for help!

Once he's done with, there's 2-3 Rich Thorium Veins behind him. If you needed to bring a friend, often you can tempt them with delicious thorium. Simply run through and you'll pop out back in the main outside area of Dire Maul. Reset the instance and simply run//ride back to the entrance you prefer.

Dire Maul is of course one of several instances you can choose to run at 70 for these shards. I personally think it's the best since it's easy to repeatedly clear it til you have enough shards, the mobs are all soloable and those delicious rich thorium veins are a real moneymaker.

After that, just buy your imbued vials and you've got your Brilliant Mana Oil!

12 mana, every 5 seconds. 30 minutes long = 144 mana per minute = 4320 Mana over 30 minutes, max.
on its own not very much "over time" but in long fights like you might have in Molten Core, and undoubtly Ahn Quiraj, it could be priceless to have this on your Priests

Don't accidentally cast windfury or you will be unhappy.

1. All the mana oils stack with regular enchants on your weapons.

2. Only one applied effect may be on your weapon at any time. One permanent, one temporary.

3. Applied weapon effects do NOT disappear when you die -- but they disappear when you log out, enter or exit an instance. So... if you die in an instance and have to corpse run back, you lose your application.

Do these stack if I was to dual-wield and apply this to each weapon? As a hunter, the mana regen is very nice.

Take care that you only apply the oil after you enter an instance, and if you die try to get a res. If you load a new area, the buff is removed.

Say you are a shaman, and you cast a windfury totem (as opposed to the shaman buff), will the mana oil be replaced by the windfury totem effect, as well as, say, the priest thats in your group?

A windfury totem won't overwrite temporary weapon buffs.

Not particularly worth it for instances right now...every time you enter or leave temporary buffs disappear, so if you die, you have to re-apply it.

If you are rezzed in the instance, you *don't leave* it, so the effect will remain on your weapon.

my point, is 2 Large brills worth 4mana / 5sec +25healing for 2hours and 30min? its costly in the long run imo

but i only use it when im in a boss fight cause it give the most mana and + healing so that way if im in a resto druids group i have well over +600 healing and the mp5 only helps if you have meditation thats the only time you can really see a difference but even then its just barely

better than superior imo lose 2mp5 for the healing gained, well worth it. i still use these in tbc altho they're a little harder to get my hands on

Dual wield on hunter.. gives 24mp5, which is nice to have by your side... You may want to use Adamantite Sharpening Stone instead, giving +28 crit rate, thats your call... i d prefer 24mp5...

Yes, 12 mp5 isn't a HUGE bonus. However, when you combine it with other bonuses, equally not huge, they add up. And in end game raiding, every little bit counts.

As a holy paladin this a favorite for boss fights. When spamming flash of light MP5 is critical in longer fights as I never have down time for spirit regen. My current base mp5 is 95 add this mage blood and blessing of wisdom and I get basicaly a free flash of light every 5 seconds. Add in divine illumination and a couple of lucky crits and i can actually end a 15 second healing spree with more mana than I started with. And while the healing is not much especially when scaled down for FoL , even 1 point is always a plus. Just ask that tank who lived because he had 5001 health after a heal, and gets hit by a boss for 5000.

farmed Zandalar rep today, took me about 4 hours 0-3000 (neutral-friendly) simply because this oil is better than Super Mana Oil, ild trade 2mp for 25 extra healing anyday.
this goes for Superio Wizard oil too ill trade 6spell dmg over 14crit rating anyday.

if your u interasted how to solo this, than here it is.
this is best done with Frost Mage, Prot pally or feral druid but most classes can do without too much trouble.

your targets are: Crocks, Tigers and Panthers, avoid everythign else. clear all Crocks down by water, than move up where Tiger boss is, clear tigers outside of Temple, (make sure to kill cubs 1st as they flee and will agro more mobs)move to Panther boss' area, there will be 3 panther pats of 3 mobs, clear them, move up to where panther boss is and clear panthers on the top sides, 2 groups of 4 mobs in each.
panthers are hardest of the 3 type of mobs ive listed so some classes will have hard time soloying 4 (even at lvl 70).

thats it. in 1 this run i usualy get around 6-7 coins and 3-4 Bijous, takes 15-20min. after u cleared exit ZG and go afk or logout for 30min or so, for instance to automatically reset (u cannot reset it yourself)

I love x mana/5sec more than anything with my priest, but 20g+/hour is not worth it.

That is right, this gives you a total of TWO AND A HALF HOURS (five applications) of the buff that also persists through death. Applied judiciously (use these for hard boss fights rather that when clearing trash mobs or trivial bosses) and these will be worth EVERY BIT.

With the new mana oil / wizard oil and the new Pally buffs, Alliance can expect to take content hurdles much easier now.

imo its not rlly expensive, since the shards u need are more than worthless on most realms. you can easily farm them with good grps and buffs like manaoil and mageblood are absolutly recommended for end game dungeons

The *new* Superior Mana Oil does one thing. Gives 14MP5. This is only a 2MP5 Loss, and gives +25 Healing. 2MP5 will not amount to enough mana in 5 Minutes to even cast a Paladin's Flash of Light. So the +25 Heal is far more appealing AND it is not that hard to get to friendly rep with Zandalar. You can get a 5 man group to kill trash easy enough, collect the coins, Bijous ect, and in a rather short amount of time be able to make a much better product.

As for farming Large Brilliant Shards, my enchanter can solo Scholomance for the most part, and last time I was in there I left with 14 LBS's

you do know that it can be used 5 times dont you?
those 5 charges is worth every damn shard you use, healers will love these and if they can do the difference needed to down ragnaros or any other big boss, theses potion would have saved for many golds Repair.

It's better to keep the mats for until you need the oils before crafting, since the oils do not stack.

This is significantly better than the TBC version called Superior Mana Oil which only gives 14 mp5 and no bonus to healing.
