You can easily reach ~190 Jewelcrafting skill (from 150) just by creating these. It's almost like cheating.

You can make a lot of these to level fairly easily, but be warned, they are used for practically nothing, and you'll most likely have a ton of them sitting in your bag/bank and nothing to make with them after you're done.

Your making these to gain skill ups only. The only thing I would use these for is making Aquamarine Pendant of the Warrior. You don’t learn this till 220 and at 225 your making Thorium Settings, which you really do need to make. So you could have a very slightly cheaper time from 220-225. Realistically though, it's vendor time for this lot (or AH if your feeling lucky).

As of 1/21/2008 It's:

1. 175 = yellow
2. 185 = green

As of 1/23/2008 it turned yellow at 170, starting from 150.
52 bars = 29 points to me.

You're a Draenei with Gemcutting (+5 Jewelcrafting skill). Hence why it turned yellow at 175 for you.

I have tried getting trained in this recipe several times...I went to exodar and both trainers didn't have it. Am I missing something?
