For a healing druid, I would recommend getting the Hide of the Wild instead of this. But for a druid that is uses their other forms often and has a good chance of getting the materials to finish the quest for this, go for it.

Based on wowhead searching, still the most viable hybrid druid cape in the game. Anyone care to venture back into AQ20 so I can also get Band of Unending Life? (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=21408)

This item (along with other Symbols of Unending Life set items) can be replaced if destroyed by the same NPC that gave the reward originally.

If you need bag space you can destroy it without remorse.

Stats are nice... but I really wish it had about twice as much armor... If I am playing the hybrid role in a Raid/Group then I need to be able to off-tank as well - which required Armor.

It does indeed lack armr - about 100 like the blue PvP cloak would be OK.

But it's one of the few non-PvP and non-Genesis items that unites caster and melee attributes and can be worn by a druid.

If it wouldn't lack armor so badly, it'd be a great solo, hybrid and PvP cloak.

The best Druid PvP cloak in the game. Put a stealth enchant on this one and wear it whenever you are in the open world.

It is okay for tanking, but as other posters mentioned, cloak is one of the better pieces to find bonus armor. You will want a cloak with more armor for tanking in AQ40 and Naxx.

There are many better options for healing.
