to the above post,
my guild and i are rapeing MC,
and you obviously havent had much end game experience and dont understand how vital hunter accuarcy is, in end game instances chance to hit is far more important than chance to crit, heres why

for MC:-
hunters need to pull the adds from when the MT pulls luci. if your dis shot misses more #$%^ for the MT and healers to deal with until your dis shot cools down.

in the maggnarar fight we are VITAL or everyone dies,
with useing tranq shot if we dont apply that regualery mag goes nuts and wipes everyone.
:-tranq shot is also used in BWL.

in the shazzah fight hunters are the only class doing consistant decent dps, warlocks and mages are the only other attackers, melee use range but pfft,whatever.

in the genhennas fight we also have to pull the extra adds to tanks.

for golemag each hunter pulls the dogs to an offtank, if misses more ^&*! fr the MT and healers, un til cooldown.

and for one of the MOST vital fights in there where hunters need as much accuracy as possiple is the domo fight, every hunter needs to pull an add to a tank, the most accurate hunter is assigned to the MT and is doing nothing but distracing shot domo so he doesnt @#$% the raid group, last night we did 8 out of the 10 bosses in molten core in 1 hit, NO WIPES. we ahave done ragnaros.

this time we failed our first attempt because our hunter misses on a couple of dis shots and put alot of he group in the fire pit and was running loose.

so numnut when you say big deal to hunter chance to hit, you have no %^&*ing idea what you are talking about!

hehe pwnd , yes i aggree, hunters need + to hit as well as crit. Though really does depend on your circumstances and build

totally agree that hunters need to get their +6 to hit to become effective in MC, but many of you seem now to understand how much of a difference raw wep skill makes in comparison to actual +hit. 2 skill gets you a massive 0.08% chance to hit and crit, woooo! much better to get a warpwood binding wich will greatly increase your dps, and get your +6 from other slots.

Miss rate against level 60: 6%
You have to have 1% miss rate so a normal guildless hunter need +5% hit items/talents

Molten Core: 7-8% miss rate
BWL: 8-9% miss rate (approx)

The problem for hunters become more dire because are Tranquilizer shots need to be cast fast and not to miss!

You will find that there isn't 1 gear for all. You need 4-5 sets of gears.

1/ PvE DPS gear: 5% hit max... rest is DPS (burst or sustained)

2/ PvP gear: Stamina heavy gear for small battles (get hit a lot), otherwise for AV use above DPS gear.

3/ Fire Resist gear: around 130 to 200 Fire Resist unbuffed

4/ Nature Resist gear: around 150-220 Nature Resist unbuffed

5/ HIT gear for specific bosses: 7%-8% hit recommended

It dropped 3 of 4 runs for me when i killed emperor. Every time no hunters in party so greed shard roll. Damn i hate it!

It is a hard boss to get to and with only a 4. something droprate...my hopes are low T.T

Got this today, I'm an enhancement shaman. No hunter in our party so I was the only mail, and thus could roll need on it. Loving it. :)
