You get this randomly from doing the Valentine's Day quest. You have a chance, once an hour, to do it. It can only be gotten when you do not have the Amorous debuff.

I got this off a thunderbluff Guard

There is no duration so this looks like a perm Critter pet (a rather fruity looken critter pet but a critter put all the same)

They seem to be a verry rare drop so if ya get one cosider yourself lucly

Just be sure that you do have an inventory slot open when you're going to do this - i waited an hour, only to go up to a guard, give him a token, get the debuff, and no gift because my inv. was full.

Time to run the alts. Get the barf bag.

I got a new package every hour since the event started, and no arrow...and now the event is over. So if you have one on Onyxia horde side and want to sell it, i'm willing to buy one for a reasonable price. Send a tell to Sericho.

as far as I know, the "Love is in the Air" event starts the 10th February 2008.

The things that has the Truesilver Shafted Arrow inside is not soulbound and therefore you can trade/mail it.

Tip for farming: Make level 1 chars, try your luck on the guards until one give you a box with it inside, and send it to your main. If it doesn't have it inside delete the char and try again.

I myself WILL farm this diaper goblin until the ends of the earth!

I have 9 characters working on hourly basis to get this. After half day of attempts I finally got it but it was on my alt and if you have auto-loot enabled, when you open the gift this will automatically go into your alt since it is a common quality item. I am so pissed now >.<

Peddlefeet is a permanent pet you can get from the "Love is in the air" VDAY holiday. I got him. He's from the Truesilver Shafted Arrow that is a rare drop you can get from the guards. Once you do get him though you can summon and dismiss him as much as you'd like. But he IS permanent.

There is also Silver Shafted Arrow. Which lets you shoot another player with it and if they have space they will get Peddlefeet for a pet, but only temporarily. Once you go on a zepplin, die, go on a boat, or use the flight master he will go away and you will not get him again until someone shoots you. Also with this Silver Shafted Arrow it only lasts for 10 days, so after 10 days say bye bye Peddlefeet.

But like I said if you happen to come across the rare Truesilver Shafted Arrow like I did then you can have Peddlefeet permanently because he's a permanent pet for whichever character you happen to get the Truesilver Shafted Arrow on.

Personally I like all my whelping pets more though.. especially the Dark Whelping. He's my life :) I love him!

You can also get a rare picnic basket and black dress which I have gotten as well. It doesn't take lots of money to get them but just keep trying every hour at the guards to get all three rare drops.

Make sure to continue doing it once an hour! I found it easier to make alternate characters and make them all have a try at it with the guard once an hour thing. Because as long as you don't take the items out of the adored box you get them in, you can send them to your main character(s), trade em to a friend, or sell them on the auction house! ;)

This thing should be epic tagged.
Also be aware that it does not give the BOP warning that the picnic basket does, and uses the same icon
as the other arrows.

Ive picked up over 150 (stopped counting) gifts, and still no pet. Not sure if it will help anyone, but I've found the fastest way to get level 1 Hordies to a major city to be going the Undead path.

1. Head out of Deathknell on your gift seeker.
2. Pick a fight with the bats just passed the gates
3. die (you will spawn in Brill).
4. Spirit rez.
5. Walk to the Zep tower and aggro a hound
6. die again (you will spawn in Lordaeron).
7. repeat step 4.
8. Collect loots.

A minute spent walking and 2 deaths > Walking from The Den to Orgrimmar. ^_^

Ok i dont know if anyone realy even wants to know this but i farmed this little basterd (truesilver shafted arrow) for exactly 5hrs and what i did was made alot of alt but i didnt delete them after i talk to each guard as talked about above.What i did was make all the alt then take them all to IF(i wish i would have farmed SW so i could have gottin the dress but im over it) and switch off after i talk to the guard.I think my methiod is a little better just because you dont have to spend 7 mins. to walk from where you first spawn to the inn then to a guard, instead you can just watch tv and wait for the buff to dissapper(average wait for me was 4 min. but i got up to 15 or so).In the long run when you creat and delete a toon every time you dont get the arrow it takes way longer than my way(In my opinion).

...and when i got it i found my self with...
45 "Handful of Rose Petals"
40 "Love Rockets"
36 "Love Fools"
34 "Silver Shafted Arrow"

Thanks for the great tips everyone! Here was my routine:

1. Create new human warrior.
2. Run south towards Goldshire, cut the corner to the north and head towards Stormwind. As a warrior, your extra armor should protect you if you get attacked by wolves.
3. Get to the mailbox in Stormwind and log out
4. Log in a my main character and mail 1 silver, 34 gold to the new one.
5. log in at the new character, buy Cologne and Love Tokens.
6. Run back to Colara Dean by the mailbox and give her a token.
7. Peek inside the Pledge of Adoration she gives you (DON'T AUTOLOOT IT!) so you know if you hit gold. If it's worth saving, use your remaining 30 copper to mail the package to your main character.
8. Delete new character
9. Repeat

Spent 5 hours doing this in addition to trying all 9 of my other characters on the server each hour. Then...drumroll...Truesilver Shafted Arrow!

Here's why this story is worth telling: I mailed the truesilver arrow to my main character. As soon as I logged in I gave another love token to a Elly Langston in Stormwind (my favorite NPC because she dances with my horny gnome :D), and I got ANOTHER TRUESILVER SHAFTED ARROW! Two in a row! My arms are still shaking from the excitement!

This proves that it's a random drop--I looted nearly 80 Pledges of Adoration and got nothing. Then two in a row.

Besides that I've found 8 of the Romantic Picnic Baskets, but no dresses. So for me the dresses are the rare drops. Weird, huh?

My post was in reference to hard core pet collectors wanting to FARM the pet NOT a causal pet collector returning every hour to our alts WE CAN ALL figure that out..

With all the alts parked in SW it takes a total of 5 mins TOPS to get their boxes every hour and my runner can get additional 8 so I can get twice as many chances if I want to take an hour and farm them. SO neener neener neener MY WAY IS BETTER lol..

MY Loot count thus far 6 hours farming (I am done) lol

4 Truesilver Shafted Arrow
3 Lovely Black dress (one of the black dresses came from Darn guard in front of bank)
18 romantic picnice baskets
Tons of Silver Shafted arrows
Target Love dummies: I don't recall exact number a bunch though(I have a dwarf warrior parked in IF)

A side note Each NPC's drop rate is 2 percent. I don't really honestly know if it makes a difference but I did n't vist the same NPC for at least one hour if I got one from that specific NPC

Gotten 3 of these so far - selling them for 300g is a pain in the butt unless someone is tired enough of looking for it themselves... way too many people going on and on about how it's BoP and how the pet is annoying or how it's not worth the money for a drop that only happens once a year when they're making 50-100g a day off dailies... but so far I have been fortunate enough to sell one. ;)

Ok Guys....
My Buddy had been doing the V-Day thing from the get go. I only have a limited time to play, so I had not done it, until last night.

Ran 5 Toons into Stormwind. Followed the steps for getting freebies 1 time with each and.........BAM 2 Truesilver Arrows in just 1 run through. I'm looking to see how much I can sell them for and have seen between 200-400 GP. Any thoughts on price?

a tip if you still got the and some perfume or colonage you can still make the event on some Npcs so if your lucky you can get it it today even if the event is over

just got mine. ended up with about 5 picnics 15 boxes 3 dresses 25 silver shafted arrows and on the last day on my last try i got 1 truesilver shafted arrow. lucky me:)

Amazingly enough, I had farmed full blast for this accursed arrow. I spent all of the 5 days farming, and on the last day of the event, I decided to give up since it wasn't appearing all week when I was about to loot my last box...and of course there it is. Irony was that I also got my first and last dress in the box before.

I must have badly good luck like that.

Just got one on my umpteenth handin from an UC guard.

Just remember folks, do it once an hour once your Adoration buff wears off. If you are Adored, you will not get any toys in your gifts!

It's a drop for giving the V-day cards to the guards. I got mine! It's cool having people come to you and say, "Where did u get that?" Yes it's permenant, Yes it only drops during the V-day celebrations.

I got mine the second day from one of my alts. I collect non-combat pets and got lucky. This nightelf is the luckiest one he got like 10 wands during halloween. You get them from the gift from anyone in the heart shape packages that also give the friendship rings and stuff.

I've seen posts across various forums from people saying they've sold them for anywhere between 150g and 1000g... So god knows what price I should actually let it go for... but I'm willing to haggle, if your offers are realistic.

Looking to sell this rare pet on GEHENNAS server, alliance side. It is still in the pledge of adoration so it is tradable. It took me every reset for the whole valentine event duration on 8 alts to finally get this. If interested, send ingame mail to "bidencringe"

When you summon it, it yells goblin catch phrases like "Time is money friend", "wazzup", "yoooo". You can spam summon it to annoy everyone in a capital city, in your raid or in pvp ;)
