Totems, Idols and Librams are a great source of extra abilities only available to a few certain other classes in replace of a secondary ranged weapon.

I'm not sure why people bash this though, if you think about it this would be the absolute best pvp relic. Personally i've tried doing a 5-second bash and Heal combo, but rogues at least(and anybody) can interrupt the heal just before it goes off.
With the relic they wouldn't get a chance :)
..but i may just be a loner in this thinking and it doesnt' matter because blizz is still in raid or quit mode.

idols are not meant to make the difference between life and death. this item uses only one slot like every other. imagine you would have minus 0.15 cast time to healing touch on every ring, trinket etc - healing touch would be instant cast.
this item is a very good buff to the druid's healing abilities.

I'd like to see how noticably this would speed up my Rank 4 HT chain heals. I wish this affected Regrowth too.

If these are just going to be extra Talent points I want more soon. Like increase 2.5% to armor contrabution from items. Minus 15% mana to Shapshifting. +10% crit chance to regrowth. Or how about minus .2 sec to cast starfire... mmmmm That would be hawt.

More Idols plz.

How about you guys all stop complaining...at least Bliz added idols instead of leaving you with an empty slot. .15 secs does help alot in many different situations...you just don't notice it.

Dunno bout any 1 else but I would take any reduced time in healing touch. And tanks will thank you and NS can be used for real emergencys. I could get off so many more big heals in long fights.. and Yes! it is worth it with the talents and the idol the reduction in cast time is great.. I was out healing most preist in MC and with the lowest overheals in the raid and with this I WOULD OWN! GIMME GIMME GIMME... if you don't want it send it my way.

Speeding the cast time of one of a druid's many spells by 1/21st isn't that much. Plus, half the time I'm sure lag will negate the effect. Not terrible, but not good either.

Would this Idol take away some of the heal bonus that you get from +heal gear, since the heals are faster?

This would have been better to have +healing... .15 isn't enough to change the outcome of most tight spots.

get this and make a macro that will swap this with the Idol of Rejuvenation, which is better then this when you are not casting HT, when you are about to cast a HT. Then have the macro swap em back out. Because you can change the idols in combat since they are considered to be like a range weapon.

well you cant bash root heal against a caster class who can just silence you. i usually just try to stay at high hp and use a rejuv. then, NS + healing touch if needed. i usually dont find myself having to bash heal that often. otherwise, one could always use regrowth instead.

when you are against caster class with silence

just stun then entangling roots and then they normaly silence you cause they think you heal then just cast entangling roots again so they silence that instead then cast heal go bear and kill simple

Another thing to think is if you cast this lets say 200 times in Molten core thats ALOT of time saved and alot more heals, its amazing for any druid and thats why its epic, if you think its bad, Dont get it, simple

Once again, Blizzard display their utter contempt for Druids...

If it was .30sec faster cast it would be fantastic, but .15sec really isn't enough to make a difference. Idol of Rejuvenation all the way...

It makes all +healing better. It makes healing touch HPS scale better than any other heal in the game. Unlike some flat +healing item, you won't be throwing this idol out in the expansion.

i think this is meant to make druids heal better... not to make em heal when the MT is about to die. say you throw about 500 heals in a raid... its a lot of time saved, you get to throw more HTs =P

Your constant complaining nerfed this in BC its being changed to +100 healing for HT GJ i was really hoping to get this and improve my healtime, .15 seconds isnt a lot, but ive seen a tank die in JUST the amount of time it take for the server to register my HT and apply it, leaving the tank to die, GJ with all your complaining

Most druids who dont go HoT healing get talents to improve it to 3sec with 5 talent points.

so this item is worth of 1.5 talent points.
its a lot.

Doesn't it kind of suck to be an epic? If you look at the statistics of the spell it's working with. The intial casting time of HT is 3.5 seconds, so 0.15 is hardly a real improvement.

OK, anyone who says that 0.15 seconds time reduction on HT is "nothing" has
a) never played a druid, with our slooooooow HT cast time (even with 5 talent points invested in faster HT, prereq for the *essential* Nature's Swiftness)
b) never tried to heal anyone.

The most frustrating thing is when you know that once your HT will completely fill someone's life meter, but they die *JUST* before your heal gets off. Believe me, it happens more often than you'd think, especially in BGs. I'm considering paying some of the more leet guilds to port me in for the Viscidus fight just so I can get one of these because my guild, good as it is, won't see AQ40 before Naxxramas is out. And as one of our top healers, I need this *NOW*

BTW, if you're Horde, spam Viscidus with Poison Cleansing totems. Because he's pure poison, they both kill him and weaken his attacks by eliminating one of the most dangerous parts of his repertoire. Finally, Horde gets easy mode for once.

This is an excellent item considering that it's providing a free boost to our class without any downside. The only thing is to decide when to use this and when to use the Idol of Rejuvenation. Luckily they can be traded out in combat :)

Well, this is the best restro druid relic I've seen so far. Strange because Ive been told this is to make up for the fact that we dont have wands and get stats from wands/bows but the stats you get from wands/bows seem a lot nicer.

Yea am going to have to say that this is the worst epic item i have ever laid eyes upon. .15 seconds off a healing touch is nothing,really its nothing at all. Considering that most mobs hit in 1-3 second increments, .15 seconds is not going to save someone from dying. And i must agree with the earlier post that i would rather have the stats granted to bows and guns and wands, vs some cruddy .15 seconds. Or at the very least put some stats and add the .15 seconds as an effect. Like alot of guns/bows/wands have effects as well as stats. This is just another way of screwing Druids!

This is by far the most impactful Resto Druid Idol. With this and Healing Touch your heal is faster than paladin's and priest's 1,5s cast. The heal itself is weaker but with enough +heal HT Rank 2 heals for 500+, which is enough in most cases.
