It sure beats a Egan's Blaster, even though it's a very small bonus.
Judging from the level requirement, it appears to drop in BRD.

every other class gets ranged weapons that have stats on them so its def fair for us pallies to get our own ranged slot stats..btw, where are the pally relic found besides this one?

blizzard created relics to go in the ranged slot so that druids/pallies/shamans could get the small buffs or stats that came along with guns bows crossbows and wands. Most of these items only have small bonuses, and so therefore so do the relics... lol stop complaining

what the hell are you complaining about? You can equip a bow that adds to stats....it's about time that pallys can hold another item on them.

actually, for lvl 52 paladins this isnt a horrible item. but as for myself at lvl 60 in full Tier one raiding ONY MC and BWL i have fire res on most of the time. so lets get a libram with +20 fire res or something or .5 faster flash heals hell +50 healing. cmon blizzard pull your heads out of your asses and give us something useful for end game pallies, not lowbies.

ok blizz have been nice to us and have given us a shiney new item and its one where before we had nothing, you ppl are moaning about it?

Im a lvl 60 paladin a mixture of the 3 talents, i use devotion as my standard aura and love this piece of kit, its put me up to 8k armour, how u can say devotion aura is crap proves your not a real paladin, any one who plays the class will tell u its the best aura you can use.

I would much rather use egans blaster, at least it serves a purpose doing sc strat, unlike no purpose.
FFS if this gave +55 armor always it would still suck. Devotion is only good when your sharing a group with a tank who needs extra armor.
Not to mention, other than pvp where they take warriors gear, palys in end game are already forced to wear half if not all there gear lower than plate armor class to get decent stats, so there armor is already a negligble fact and a joke.
I agree with person above, is this an april fools joke?
And the observer guy in DM tribute next to the boss drops a decent relic, it reduces seal costs by 20.
And whos the moron who said ranged weapons arent useful to rogues and warriors, they give stats, ap, hit/crit chance. and wands give +spell damage and resistances. this is just useless. they better make some better relics.

I guess only thing nice about this is... for cloth wearers in the group, it's equal to wearing one more cloth piece equal to a lvl 50 or below cloth chestpiece. ;P

Other than that, yea, it's just something to take up the Relic slot if you don't have Egan's Blaster. The other Librams would replace this easily.

Is it me, or does the benefits from these items feel like getting 75 cents from your grandpa for your birthday?

I mean its a nice thought an all, but clearly a token from someone clueless to the true value of their gift in the real world.

Although it does look like ther was some thought by blizz. The general aura buff available to anyone as brd is cake and nice idea for an entry level relic. Those of us pallys who dont raid, actually find ourselves in situations where we are sealing like crazy so Hope is good for us. Anyone in AQ40 is a cleanse buff/bot and that relic is good for them.

But again...thanks for the 75 cents grandpa!

ok, for starters you are all missing the fact that before any of these came out druids, pallies and shamies were already balanced with the other classes (more or less, but that's a bifferent complaint all together). that said, if Bliz gave them a significant boost to anything it would over power the three classes compaired to other ones. If you want a boost that's really worth alot of effort to get they are going to either have to nerf something else or make the other classes more powerful in an equal way.

now, secondly, this is only the start, they have made three for these classes, it's not like they aren't going to make more. WoW is a game that isn't even close to having everything that bliz is planning to put in, it's just not finished, deal with it. more will come.

thirdly, I like this one, atlest as a lvl 52 item. but I will admit that my oppinion right now should be taken with a grain of salt as my pallie is only lvl 43 and I still have a ways to go before I can even use this, let alone any of the other ones.

forthly, stop complaining that pallies don't get a ranger attack, all classes are different, they are good at different things and all of them have some weakness. one of the pallies weaknesses is that they don't get any kind of really good rangered attack. it's just the way they are. it's a flaw that bliz gave the pallie on purpose for a good reason, they don't neede it. it would be like complaining that other classes don't get a way to heal, no one gets everything, no one is perfect. deal.

and finally, just remember that everything you (and I) say is just your (or my) oppinion. and just because you don't like it, or think it isn't fair doesn't mean some one else who plays differently for you has to agree with you. different people like different thing, and play the same game in different ways. don't insist that you are right, because it's just your oppinion.

Well since the Draenei will be proficient in Jewelcrafting as well as having a paladin class, hopefully Blizzard will allow Jewelcrafters make relics with better abilities especially Librams

i just had my libram drop too and it does not add any armor to my devotion aura either. i contacted blizz about that and the fact that a couple time the last few days i cannot rez upon going back to my corpse, of course blizz said to take my UI off to see if it made a difference but it didnt help the libram or the rez problem. If anyone else has problems w/ their libram please post so we know its a bug.

I am Lvl 70 and a very succesful tanking Pally on my server (also tanking in Kara) and I am still having this one active as I didn't find any better.

Is anyone else wondering why you have to kill a guy who is level 57 to get an item that you can wear at level 52? It would be impossible to aid your group at 52....

yea on the note about what judicier said, they aren't supposed to be amazing but if thats the case why do shamans get 30 spell dmg to shocks and 44 to healing. i mean that is a clear cut example of blizzard's bias towards shamans.

You have to remember that the Paladin, Shaman and Druid classes are meant to be balanced without using their ranged slot for stats at all...so people expecting huge boosts are going to be disappointed, even by the epic ones.

55 armour is rather more than 0 armour.

I can hardly stand to see someone claiming that a Shammy and a Pally are "balanced."
The day that a Pally can beat a Shammy w/o the stupid shield is the day I consider the classes balanced, and at that point, well the shield should be gone. I hate having to rely on the "bubble of doom" to win a fight, but currently there is no other way.

55 armor. Pallies got what, 5000+? Add the fact that it diminishes and you get less than 0.1% added damage reduction. Some relic, I'd disenchant it and stick to Egan

I know, who in their right mind puts points in Improved Devotion Aura when you have Toughness on the very next tier. But it leaves me curious, is the Relic also affected by the talent or added after? Having 974 armor vs 988 armor is, well very little difference.

Totem of Rage is just as terrible as this.

Adds 30 Dmg right? Just so happens that damage is mitigated like +Spell Dmg, since all Shocks are instant, reduces that 30 to 10.

i like it alot. it gives me and my party members 55+ armor. i know its not much but that gives me the higheset devo aura.

and to the Pally vs. Shaman quote up top i would like to say that every class has its abilities... shamans can drop a earth totem and run...then hit the paladin with chain lightning... paladins dont have ranged weapons except 1 and you can only use it if the enemy has 20% or less life... so the shields are the pallys strength, while shamans can pwn ranged. SO QUIT WHINING U DAMM SHAMANS

Am I the only one that sees: 'Equip: Increases the armor from your Devotion Aura by 110.' The focus being on the 110 part? Or is allakhazam/blizzard not providing enough info regarding what EXACTLY that 110 is? Or am I just reading it wrong? :)

110 refers to the amount that is added to your base devotion aura amount. It is not scaled by any other factors, as far as I know.
