I kept this ring over purchasing a Don Rodrigo's Band (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=21563). Though with the higher-geared Allies I'm facing in BGs, I may have to forfeit the 11 extra spell damage and go with this so I can actually get a Deathcoil to hit those pesky rogues.

Couple this with https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=22339, and you have one of the sweetest caster ring combos from the "normal" instances.

Hilarious item name. It's sure a nice combinatioin of +crit and +damage. +Stamina makes it the perfect caster PvP ring. The Dons are here to stay.

Just dropped for me in my first ever scholo run. Would have preffered Stylus or Dreadmist Mask but ya know, w/e ;) I Think drop percent is messed up, prolly b/c it's such a new item. Great on a lock, blows Eye of Orgrimmar out of the water IMO. Hopefully won't have to run it too much more for mask/stylus, I wanna get in MC ASAP xD

Rolled for it and won just now (priest) over a mage.

Mage in same guild, started ranting in guild chat about how stupid i was to roll... that the crit chance increase doesnt affect healing spells.

Did i have a right to roll over the mage?

This would pair very nicely with the Band of Rumination. +2% crit on spells from rings alone, and all from bosses that are manageable in small groups (the other comes from Warchief Rend Blackhand in UBRS). No complaints here. :)

I got this last night, won the roll from a mage guildy...Havent really had a chance to use it much, but am glad I got the roll regardless.

Im a 60 lock and lost the roll to a priest tonight, he asked if he could need and everyone said its more of a lock ring but he still needed and he got it. oh well he was a good healer anyway but im really after the dreadmist mask and this ring so just keep running

Zeffmiester, your retarded. 57% spell crit chance is impossible.........especially in the gear you describe....if a mage " Ninja'd " the ring, as in winning a roll over you fairly, theres nothing to complain about, as long as he uses the ring.

Not to mention your complaining about priests/paladins getting the ring, when it was taken from you by a mage, and im assuming you are a mage/warlock(A.D.D. anyone?).

3 guild 2 pug run, this dropped
pally priest and I (mage) roll... course the priest also picked up the dreadmist hat on a need roll as well as a few other blues but meh he was guildie and the pally won. really looking forward to replacing Band of Rumination for this but it's not urgent.

are they goblins or something, my thinking comes from the Steamwheel Cartel....any ideas?

First Scholo run after 1.10, ran it to check out the changes. Very nice ring!

I use this with the Band of Rumination for my healing gear.

Think I'll be running Scholo again (even though I ran it 93 times for my Bonecreeper Stylus) to get this for when I spec Fire and get back into PVP.
