4 Large Prismatic shards and a 2 day CD. After having bought 3 of these, I can tell you that the markup on these is usually the cost of an additional large prismatic.

Large prismatic goes for 15g on one my servers, mat cost would be 15x4 = 60g. I usually paid 75g for one of these.

On another of my servers mats went for 40g total (10g each) and these sold for 50g.

On my server, prismatic shards sell for about 16g ea, while this sphere sells for between 20 and 25g total. No profit at all.

With 2.4, isn't it ironic that the 'mat cost' for this is the same as the +4 gem?

It is woefully underpowered, or at least ridiculously overpriced for what it offers.

In my opinion, "Resist all" just isn't all that useful and here's why:

1) In PvE, resistances are only needed or useful for specific boss fights and in those cases the damage is of one specific type that you know before hand. If you're going to wear resistance gear for that fight, you will not be stacking "resist all" but rather "resist fire" or "resist shadow" or whatever.

2) In PvP you can't know in advance what type of damage will be thrown at you so resist all could be more useful. The thing is that for dealing with variable types of damage in PvP you're much better off stacking stamina and resilience, which will work against all damage (also physical). If at any point you want to use resistance it's probably because you know the damage type in advance and are therefore better off with a specific resistance stat.

If you're socketing resistance gear, I'm pretty certain you're better off with a Solid Star of Elune rather than this. This gem would have to cost one Small Prismatic Shard at most to make for me to even consider using it.

Is it just me, or is it kind of stupid that this item is enchanting 325 to make, but uses an enchanting rod that you need to be 350 skill to make. Ignoring that you can't convert small shards to large ones until 335 skill also.

So you get this at level 335, but you cant use it until you get a Runed Adamamtite rod which you can only get at level 350.

So why not just make this a 350 formula so when you get it you can actually make it?

Notice if you will that the item is sorted under "Created Items" and in my experience is the first enchant that starts with yellow color. Also because all rods are BoP it is impossible to start making these until u get to 350.

Note: At this point (325) your only option in red is Chest - +15 spirit if dealing solely with the Grand Master Enchanter. Time to take some time to gather additional ones in Outland and possibly grind some rep to achieve a more diverse portfolio.

The mats alone is worth about 80-90g, at least on Sunstrider. But since you can't use this item before skill 350, where you will also be able to make the Void Sphere that gives +4 to all resist, I find this item rather useless, or at least not the optimal choice if you're really gonna make something out of your gear. Further more, I think that there are far better gems for that kind of money.

You learn this at the Trainer in Thrallmar/Honors Hold, need skill 325 for it, and costs around 5g

I turned up at the Honor Hold Trainer and he did not have the enchant formula, nor did the quartermaster there. My enchanting is at 354 atm. Don't understand this. Any new infor to share so I can get this formula?

Just got this from Johan Barnes in the tower in HH.

Comes in yellow at 325.

does anyone know or confirm if "x" resist all = 39.42 resistance rating @70?

If it does this +3 or +4 would be awesome to stack on a all resistance gear.
