Oils count as a temporary enchant on your weapon and the buff will persist through death.

You always get full bang for your buck with wizard oils.

Too bad they only allow 5 uses per bag slot with these.

I can confirm that the 'required level' on this oils is based on the ilevel of the weapon u're putting the temporary item buff on, and not on the required level to use the item. There is no way to tell the ilvl of an item in game without using an addon.

Really good recipe for leveling, went from 340-359 with 19 oils. Even at green I still got a skillup every time.

there are 3 different ways to buff your spell power, temporary Weapon Enchant buff (this item, +42)... battle/guardian elixir (Flask of Supreme Power, +70) and Well Fed (Requires cooking known by you, a friend, or someone on your server liking to AH cooked items... for +23)

all in all, you get 135 spell, quite essentially it all persists though death, since you can probably buy the items for less than 1g each.

This stuff is so cheap, 5-7g on my bad server, that it's very worth it to always use some as any caster or even a leveling one, you can use it from 58 onwards, so it'll be a great boost when you hit Outlands with your crappy green gear.

I'm surprised these don't seem to sell at 9g each - I can sell the mats separately for 11g!

The only reason I'd make this (other than for guildies) is to up my skill because nobody seems willing to actually buy them

You can add wizard oil to your weapon on top of current enchant (ie 40 spell dmg)and will not replace the enchant but add to your stats- check this yourself! The effect only lasts 30 mins so is excellent for a boss fight or Black morass run. Best thing is that it persists after death.

Finally! Enchanting pays off for once.
Cheaps mats
Nightmare Vine 1g each
Imbued vials cheap off vendor
And a normal enchater will have mass arcane dust from
disenchanting stuff.
Altogether i sell these for 15g, thats a hefty profit.
PLUS, it gets ur enchanting skill up^^

Yep, and don't forget how good this stuff is for PvP. My 59 PvP Shadow Priest is loving this stuff since it persists thru death.

This is ONLY used for your MH mele weapon. It DOES stack with enchants such as 40sd, soulfrost and sunfire. Also stacks with pots/flasks.

Cheap to make and extremely useful.

This is a great way to skill enchanting up to 370. Everyone should be aware that even when this recipe goes gray it DOES give you skill points all the way to 370. So save those Large Prismatic Shards for the last 5 levels.

There's some debate in my guild as to whether or not it adds to healing. The item info clearly states "spell damage" but one of our healer paladins claims it helps with healing. Does anyone know?

You can't learn this till 340 but it's already yellow once you get it. I dont thinks it's right. When I learned a new recipe in Tailoring it was always orange. Just a comment.
