Drops off the Eredar Deathbringer in Arcatraz. The bad thing is there is only one of these mobs in the instance so it's a little hard to farm.

This isn't as bad as people think it is. With only 1-2 spawns in the instance and only enchanters seeing it drop the drop % still says 2,4%. Im guessing the real drop is closer to 5%

Is it possible to take 2 druids and maybe a couple of rogues and stealth to these guys? Do the gigantic eyes or the dogs in the room with the first boss see invis? With 2 good rogues and a feral, I imagine it wouldn't be tough to bring these down, since the pulls are one at a time. Possibly even with one good rogue. Then probably do the Sethekk Halls method of getting naked, dying, rezzing, and resetting.

this is really expencive, at one time on it was 210g for the prismatic shards, 70 g for the greater planar essence, and another 18 g for the arcane dust, not counting tip to enchanter thats just about 300 g for an enchant

Most hunters want 35 agi as it provides a small amount of extra benefit over 70AP at almost any reasonable gear level. About 5% more benefit at Kara level, according to Cheeky's Spreadsheet.

As a hunter you would gain more benefit from 2x agility enchant on a one hander if you get the chance to get two decent one handers.

i been trying to decide between this enchant or sav i had sav on my axe but i just gotten sonic spear and am leaning towards 35agi because of the almost +1% crit chance it brings i do lose 35ish ap but i thinking the crit will make up for it

Drops from Eredar Deathbringer in the Arcatraz, lvl 70 Tempest Keep instance. The key needed to get into the instance is from the quest chain starting with Triangulation Point One in Netherstorm. The key works like Scholo, Strat, etc. where only 1 person needs the key, or someone can open it from the inside.

Yes. Also the real drop rate might be around 10-20%, because not all groups have an enchanter in them.

Actualy Eredar Deathbringer is a named Trash Mob and not a boss of Arcatraz.
I still farm this enchant after 10 run.

Paid 125g for this enchantment. I supplied the Greater Planar Essences and the Arcane Dust. Enchanter did the enchantment and provided the shards for 125g.

I felt like that was a pretty good deal because buying the shards would've probably cost me about 100g. That means I paid roughly 25g for the enchantment, more than fair in my book.

45 times in arcatraz

5 times on heroic difficulty

have yet to see this enchant....

i'd say 35 out of the 45 times only 1 deathbringer spawned.

then again it took 55 bm runs to get my hourglass so maybe i'm just unlucky

For hunters, +agi is still a strong stat. Take a look here, near the bottom of the page:

1 agi = 1AP = small armor boost = +crit rating

DPS-wise, +agi is therefore a little better than pure +AP since you get +crit and that has to be factored into the equation.

One survival hunter in our guild focuses heavily on +agi for the crit rating and related survival stats, and he does absolutely lethal DPS.

I'm a BM hunter, so I generally like the raw +AP of the savagery enchant, but +crit is important for everybody, really.

If you have a Sonic Spear, you can't really go wrong with either major agility or savagery IMO. Terokk's Quill is still great for survival hunters with the extra +35 agi. Once you're into Kara regularly and beyond, the choice between these enchants really comes down to tweaking your spec.

I get a bit annoyed at people who make statements like "all hunters with savagery r n00bs Z0mg!" At least substantiate your point.

Just wanted to say that two druids CAN farm this. Last night I (resto druid) and my friend (feral druid) stealthed to these mobs, solo pulled them, and then reset until it dropped. Got it on the 2nd attempt (lucky). :)

If you want to attempt this here are a few things to keep in mind:

1) You will have to kill one Arcatraz Sentinel on your way in. If you try to stealth past he will shock you and pull you out of stealth.
2) The room before the deathbringers is full of negatron screamers. These fear, so don't try and take any of them out. There are a few of the little non elite guys that run around the room, we had to kill one of these before pulling, any time we tried to kill any more we pulled a screamer.
3) The room before we always stealthed around to the left, then tanked and fought on the right side. The tank has to keep his back to the wall because the deathbringers have a knockback. It took us about 2-3 minutes to kill each one. They also have an AOE damage aura, but it's not too bad to heal through for a druid healer.
4) If you clear the room with the deathbringers go ahead and grab the chest that's in there before you run out to reset.

ran arc 20+ times (lost count after that) and was full exhalted with shat'ar before i even saw it drop and lost the roll to someone on his first run in arc, ever.
'frustrated' is an understatement
but ill keep grinding it till i get it, at least i have a new obsession now that i realized the sv boss is never gonna drop my hunter's gear :/

Edit: FINALLY dropped today, ran arc somewhere over 40 times, NEVER going back

Yes it does exist. On my 2nd run of Alcatraz, I saw this formula drop for our enchanter, who was on his 1st run of Arcatraz. So he's extremely happy... and lucky!

YOU DON'T NEED A KEY FOR ANY TK INSTANCES! ALL YOU NEED IS A MAGE!

step 1) Duel the mage

step 2) Mage sheeps you

Step 3) you walk into instance as a sheep

Step 4) Repeat until party is inside the instance

Step 5) Mage teleports through the gate!

hope this saves you all a lot of time, I just always have a mage with me!

Took me about 20 runs. I hate this enchant as it took a lot longer than the others as it requires a group.

One of the worst enchant grinds in TBC. Can't be soloed, there's only one Eredar Deathbringer on regular difficulty, and two on Heroic (also had two HC runs with only one Eredar Deathbringer spawning, seems random?), which kinda reduces the grind possiblities. Took me about 10 runs, which isn't too bad.
