Stacks with Adept's Elixir, so for locks and shadow priests out there, you are talking about a woofty +89 shadow damage with these two combined.

Edit: I just read about the upcoming patch, apparently two elixirs of the same type (offensive, defensive) will no longer stack, so i'm guessing this also applies here :(

also the +damage gets reduced from 65 to 55 at patch 2.1

Though it doesn't stack with Adept's, it does stack with Elixir of Major Fortitude (guardian). Works well for our locks.

Well i use the Draenic wisdome thingy, cus in a raid u dont need more hp, MotW, fortitude etc etc. I use wizard oil with this combo and food buff <3

This elixir has been nerfed in the 2.1 PTR to +55 Shadow Damage, instead of +65.

can this item be used in place of Elixir of Shadow Power for the Dreadsteed quest?

No, it cannot be used in the Dreadsteed quest, which is also the reason it is cheaper (on my server) than the non-major. The ghost mushroom takes longer time to farm than Nightmare Vine, and Ancient Lichen comes in loads when you do instances...

Stupid question alert:

Does the buff from this potion persist through death?
Some high level battle potions/elixirs seem to and
others don't. I'm just curious before I buy a bunch
of it, what exactly I should be expecting.
