It seems to be very random what ever potion you are crafting. Since adepts elixir also yields flask of Might Restoration...

Managed to learn this Flask after creating a https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28103 Adept's Elixir.
Currently a Master of Elixirs. 375 Alchemy. I'm still on the fence on if I like the randomly learn new flasks or not. I guess it will keep me interested and pumping potions out. I would also like to add that being a Master of Elixirs you have the probability to see multiple creations of flasks which is very nice. I have seen as many as x5 personally but have heard of people getting as many as x8.

In patch 2.1.0 this (and all other flasks) will have their effects significantly reduced. The mats required to make one will also be greatly reduced.

This flaks will likely give 120 AP , that is unconfirmed for now though.

Got all flask recipes now.
Also have Super Rejuv Pot, Water to Shadow and Mana to Fire, but I had to make several thousand pots/elixirs/transmutes to get where I am now.

And yes, max proc is 5 on elixir master, but that happends very seldom. If any proc at all it's usually just 1 extra.

Ofcourse I got the flask I needed myself last.

Requirements to make a discovery

You must be crafting a potion, elixir, flask or performing a transmutation that was added in TBC.

As a rule of thumb that's anything that is learnt from a master alchemy trainer, dropped from a mob in outland or purchased from a vendor in outland. The only real exceptions are the pre-TBC flasks that have been made available from faction vendors in outland.

NOT requirements to make a discovery

You don't need to be in outland
You don't need a mastery
You don't need to be 375 alchemy
You don't need to be level 70
You don't need to craft yellow or orange recipes to make discoveries. Even grey recipes can proc discoveries
You don't need to be crafting a related recipe *except* in the case of cauldrons (You can discover flasks when making potions for example)

So is this flask learnable from a reputation vendor or is this only learnable from random discoveries and how do discoveries work? just make any potion or elixer and you get a random chance to learn this?

Well, I have one question or annotation: I noticed, when transmuting primal might / primal earth to water, that I only discovered recipe in transmutations... When I discovered Flask of Pure Death - as far as I can remember, I produced some Elixir of Healing Power.
Soo, does it matter in relation to our welcome discoveries, when I make elixirs or potions? Otherwise expressed: how are flasks classified - potions oder elixirs?

This was the first flask I discovered. I got it while making Elixir of Major Agility at lvl 61 so I was very happy.

I learned this two days ago on Dethecus (Alliance) while making Super Healing Potions. It was quite a surprise. The mats are expensive and the mana thistles are hard to farm for a 66 (I'm working on that). :)I'm still trying to work out prices since people laugh you out of trade channel even if your price is below median on here. Oh well, I think they'd do that no matter what. If you need them on Dethecus message Mordana.

i'm spent over 1k gold making over 500 pots, many super mana pots and haven't had a single discovery. don't think you can grind pots and learn new flasks. this is a pure luck thing to learn a new flask

I discovered this potion on Steamweedle Cartel while making a Elixir of Mastery
. For those that were wondering what happens or doubting what "discovered" means what happens is as you make a potion as in my case Mastery a message pops up on screen DISCOVERED you have discovered a new potion called Flask of Relentless Assault

I also got this discovery while making Super Mana Potions. Apparently that's the one to make it pop :D

Also to answer the question above, the only Alch lab I know of is in Shattrath City on the Same level as the 300+ Alch Trainer.

Also, I remember when these used to be cheaper. 20-22G. The recent spike I believe is due to Fel Lotus going up in price.

So what your were just making mana pots and BAM! you learn to make this? is there a certain amount of pots u have to make to activate the recipe? or is it just random? do you have to be specialized in elixers or potions? i don't get it, you don't just learn how to make somthing, there is supposed to be a trainer, or a drop or somthing.

Before the consumable nerfs in Patch 2.1.0, this originally gave 360 attack power, but also required 10 Mana Thistle and 20 Terocone to craft.
