Dropped by Balzaphon, a Scourge Invasion boss who shows up in Stratholme on the Live side, though it's quicker to do through the back door until undead strath and reach him there. He is only there while the Scourge are invading, whether or not this will reoccur, I don't know.

This had about a 30% drop rate. This is a very awesome belt for a frost mage, I can't think of any non-raid piece that's better. If you're a mage and you have a shot at this, take it faster than polymorph can break in PvP =D

Apparently the boss that drops the balzaphon items (lich in strat) is gone after the invasion ends on your server.

Got this too. Very easy like the staff. I got staff now with +22 int and both can give 50+ spell damage about. As u see , those item are better than sorcer. It need a lot of time for convert magister. I also want reach revered rep. with zalaran tribe, where u can get binding and shoulder and robe. Also those zalaran item are better than sorcerer and there's no need to waste a lot of money. Better get those so and wait for MC maybe for arcanist set. For me, sorcerer don't worth the try:)
For now i am full magister set(3 sorcerer).
