The fact that the mats are well over 100g makes less appealing than just a pile of stamina, in my mind.

Perhaps for tankadins, where you're aggroing 5 guys at once and landing a lot of blocks on all of them...

great combo with the sporeggard shield, this is a multi tanking thing, not recommended for bosses, stamina enchant is better for that, with a shield with block and defense.

as a tankadin, this is pretty much a MUST have. when combined with Retribution aura, Consecration, Blessing of Sanctuary (+Holy Shield), a good shield (like the sporeggar one or an alternative), this enchanted on it and perhaps a form of thorns or the crystal spire buff https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=11567 from Un'Goro Crater in Kalimdor, and ur looking at an awful lot of block damage reflection.

However as posted above, this is more a grinding enchant, not what should be used for boss fights, where +block or +stamina would be preferable.

i disagree, cuz paladin doesn't benefit from physical dmg returned. any return is good, but i would much rather have +18sta, than this, speccialy cuz pala tanking gear realy lacks stamina, when compared to warrior gear of same level/quality/use.

A buddy of mine put it on his twinks redbeard crest. It does more damage than my twinks Assassin's Blade.

This is the best shield "enchantment" for a level 19 warrior/paladin twink! 26~38 damage on block is deadly...

This spike is not expensive at all if you managed to afford a Shadowfang.

2.4.2 PTR patch notes:

Items that enchant other items no longer have tradeskill requirements
(Mithril Spurs, Shield Spikes, Weapon Chains, etc.).

This is basically like putting Mongoose on a weapon for a warrior/rogue...only for a Prot paladin. The alpha and omega of twink shield enchants, if you're leveling a pally 40-60 this is well worth the cash. Mats aren;t even that hard to farm if you know a BS who can make it.

The Thorium shield spike does 20-30 damage on a succesfull block.
So unless ur getting exalted with TM anyway, i personally wouldn't bother grinding for the recipe.

Also it only costs 20g max to get made, this one sets u back quite a bit more.
