It is evident that the BoP crafting plans for all professions are only visible to people with that profession.

By the way, this stuff that drops out in the wild (Ragesteel/Khorium) is very common if you ARE a blacksmith -- I got the Khorium Belt plans inside of twenty kills, and the Ragesteel Gloves plans inside of ten kills.

1 hour farming... nice that you can increase rep with Kurenai or Consortium while farming.

If you're a miner and farm these plans in the cave southeast of Halaa you will get your hands on loads of adamantite.

1 or 2 veins frequently spawn inside the cave, sometimes one spawn outside the cave as well.

I farmed these plans for about one hour yesterday and got 42 adamantite ore and about 3 primal earth, but no plans so far.

This has got to be one of the most frustrating plans to get, i've spent a total of 8 days here already - I went from Honored Mah'har to Exhalted and that is well over 2,000+ kills of these damn mobs. Additionally, by turning in the Obsidian Warbeads, I have gone from friendly to Revered with the Consortium. Yet, this plan hasn't dropped. The other 2 plans were gotten within 50kills each, this one is a pain in the arse. Everyday I spend ATLEAST 3-6 hours here killing, yes it sounds boring and yes it's so true. I'm thinking of just giving up.

I must have very bad luck.

Dropped off a boulderfist warrior around southwind cleft in nagrand. Dropped off somewhere around the 40th boulderfist i killed. Adamantite spawns and fel iron spaws in that area as well. Having blacksmithing as a profession while farming this seems to raise the drop rate percentage slightly. good luck to everyone that is trying to get these since this set seems to be a pain to farm for with some people.

These dropped for me on my first or 2nd kill of these ogres when I was just exploring and test fighting stuff in Nagrand around 64th lvl or so. Tripped me out when a plan I STILL can't use dropped - I was probably 300-310BS when I got them and I'm maybe 340BS now at level 70!

The loot table seems a bit out of date. I got a couple of Super Healing Pots and Super Mana Pots while grinding for the Plans and those don't even show up in the loot table.

Confirmed that they drop for people with low Blacksmithing skill. Got mine and I recently picked up Blacksmithing (skill at 90). Drop rate doesn't seem to change depending on whether or not you have Blacksmithing as a profession.

Easy day, since most of us looking for these plans are DPS warriors, the ogres here are nice and squishy like everywhere else in wow. Went and killed about 35 of them one day with no luck, and the next day, got the plan after I think my 4th kill. Not to bad. Still trying to grind the freeking helm =(

After reading this i decided to go down there and check out these ogres.. no sooner had i killed the very first one, loot it and bang! theres the plans.. now thats luck.. so i moved onto the helm and got that in about 50 kills.. tried the chestplate for about a half hour.. maybe 50kills and it didn't drop so i'll try again tomorrow

grinded from 8k honored to revered and still no drop.
collected 130 warbeads, 4 stacks of cyrstal powder, countless netherweave.

A warrior grinding at the same time as me had two drop in the same session.

Confirmed to drop from Boulderfist Warrior.
Low drop rate
Will ONLY drop for blacksmiths.
Will drop for ANY skill level of blacksmithing

lol i walked into free corki killed one these guy's for the key and got the recipe =) was shocked after lookin it up and seein such a low drop rate but from some ppl's comments it seems ez to farm.. im a master hammersmith glad I had just pwr lvl'd it the day before or i wouldent of even seen this drop =0

Plans dropped within 10-15 minutes of farming. I would say I killed 20 or so warriors before they dropped. Guess I was lucky.

Just confirming that the plan still drops off the Boulderfist Warriors.
Took me over 800 kills to get it according to my KillCounter.

Confirmed - these dropps from the boulderfist warriors indeed. Either i'm one lucky gnome or they have changed the droprate on these patterns big time. i got the gloves just after 5 - 6 boulderfist warriors, and the shoulders after 12 mins of farming on the enraged air spirits in shadowmoon. 2 / 4 patters. i will try my luck on the helm and chest piece now =)

I have been farming these for a while now (300+ kills) and was just wondering if the pattern can drop for me when only lv 69 (item requirement 70). Anyone knows if the restrictions on item you create applies for the pattern?

I was out trying to finish off exalted with Mag'har. Saw an adamantite node while outside one of the cleft caves. First Boulderfist I killed dropped it. Looks like its time to find the other 3 plans for the set and hopefully enough to let me top off blacksmithing.

after getting the shoulder for some fury pve taste i decided to go and farm those..bought 2 stacks of food got my music ready for long farmgin session .. then boom 2nd Boulderfist warrior droped them ..^_^

304 Warrior kills plus similar number of Mages that hang out in the same place over a couple of days for me to get drop. Good if you want Mag'har rep.

The plans will only show up for blacksmiths who don't already have the plans, so the listed drop rate will not be accurate. I'd guess drop rate is 0.3% to 1%. Got them myself without really trying within 200 warrior kills. 2 of my guildies got it without farming too.

Plans dropped off a warrior inside the cave (the one in the valley below Halaa). Was killing the warriors and mages for the quest and getting the supplyboxes for the Mag'har quest. Got about halfway the quest (killed about 10 warriors and 13 mages) when this dropped off the 8th warrior that I killed. I am BS, so maybe for BS drop rate is higher? Or I must have been really lucky that night, since I had gotten a living ruby from mining an adamantite node a little earlier....
Now I need to up my BS skill so I can actually craft this LOL

After I started farming, I got mine before I could get a stack of 10 obsidian warbeads. Im on Vek'nilash US Horde side, send tell to saitohajime if you want me to craft these.

Very easy to get. Got the chestpiece passin thru while goin after the guy out on the balcony. Checked out who drops the rest and that noght got the helm in BEM on the 15 kill then headed to Nagrand for the 3rd and got it in 4 hours . So all 3 patterns in one night.

Killed 550 Boulderfist Warriors, got nothing. It seems the droprate is really quite low. And dont say im not a BS...

Killing stuff.. A friend was able to need on plans that I couldn't see until it appeared in the "X recived loot" sentence. I guess it drops pretty often but you need blacksmithing to see it...

Thottbot is probably wrong about the 0.2% drop rate. Since it's bop, I think that goes just like with trade skill recipes in instances - they only drop for you if you have the skill. And thottbot definitely counts all kills, so.

The skill lvl of blacksmith doesn't matter because i was 279/375 when the plans drop for me. So i think its just a random drop.

Been out here for a while, found nine greens so far, about 50 warbeads, and constantly hitting the respawning adamantite vein has gotten me two stacks of ore and four primal earths. Got the shoulders and chest in five kills each. Hoping to get the magic post effect here. Wish me luck!

Edit: Another hour later and still no plans. If I go another hour I think I'll go nuts.
Edit2: Another hour. Found a mail belt with 34 defense rating, lolled some, at least I have distractions. Think I quit for today.

Well I cleared the warriors around and inside the northern cave at least 8 times... This might just be a coincidence but when I got tired of it and came back hours later (4:30am) I tried the southern cave and surrounding warriors and the plan dropped on the third kill.

Hey guys.. I was just taking a set to let everyone know that this droped for me in Nagrand, from one of the warriors in the cave. The cords are exactly 39 38. Took about 40 kills to get it, but it was about the easiest grinding in the world. Good rep, beads,and other stuff. So far I only need one more to complete set and have gotten em all so far in under two hours.

Just spent 3 hours between both North and South camps and not a one has dropped. I did get a boat load of netherweave, a HUGE rep inrease, and enough obsidian beads to make me happy at Marti Gras though. Here is to the end of day one of grinding /salute, I will try and try again tomorrow. Will keep the comment section updated. Wish me luck.

I was farming the warriors last night looking for the beads, the crystals and I was actually looking for a Jack-O'-Lantern 18 slot bag - didn't realise I can get an 18 slot from Halaa, just wanted the pumpkin!

Well, 50 kills in and the bag hadn't dropped but 51st kill the plans dropped. I usually have the worst luck in the world when lookin for these type of thing (I've killed well over 2500 needlers to try and get the firefly) so this was a pleasant surprise, especially as I had completely forgotten the plans were there!

I'm gonna get myself exalted with Kurenai, get my new mount and then go for the rest of the plans

my will to live is fading !, have been farming for these plans all week, got the helm after 2 kills and chest after about 200 and the death rate of orges must be over 1000 and no gloves !, enough netherweave to make a blanket to cover the dam world though !

OK, i got the shoulders and the helm just by luck, i wasn´t even looking for them, By god! i even didn´t know the ragesteel set existed until i saw the pieces drop, one killing for a quest and the other just farming motes of earth, now i want all the set and im in my way for the rest, i hope this post give me luck. Well peeps, finally got mine Ragesteel glove. in about hour and half. I gotta admit its the toughest one to get out of all of the plans. I got it at the North cave. Good luck peeps.

got this after about 30 min farming of warriors in nag. :)
i got the shoulders yesterday, b4 that i didnt even know the ragesteel set existed.. :P But anyway, i was farming for mote of fire when suddenly the shoulders dropped in shadowmoon. I decided to get all 4, so earlier to day, i started farming for the chest in the mine in netherwing ledge in sahdowmoon, dropped after about 1 hour. Than i decided to go for the helm in BEM, dropped after about 30 min, so - after that i only needed the gloves, and as i said at the beginning, about 30 min farming ^^ HAPPY!

The legend of Philadon and his genocidal assault on the Boulderfist ogres grows hour after freakin' grind grind grind hour. They drop like flies, but the plans they will not. Here's a plea for the rub the Thottbot belly good luck.

BTW, in complete agreement with those who say only to bother with shoulders and gloves. I'd much rather have my Breastplate of Kings.

Wow, what a grind. Here is my experiance of getting all 4 plans. I got drop at blacksmithing level 340-360.

Ragesteel Gloves - Dropped off the 42nd Boulderfist Warrior in Nagrand 49,56 inside and outside of cave

Ragesteel Helm - dropped of the 2nd guard i killed in BEM at 72,40 (very happy about that)

Ragesteel Shoulders - After what seemed like 100 Enraged Air elementals( didnt mind as i needed the moted, i got sick of it and went kill enraged rock and fire's and it dropped off the 8th Enraged Fire spirit at location 48,44

Ragesteel Breastplate - Took quite a while but it dropped off the 75th Ashtongue where i farmed out front of Alter of sha'tar from one entrance to other of ruins 56,33 - 61,36(dont need to enter ruins)

i grinded in hours in a row so it would drop on the respawns that i killed .

I'm sitting on about 200 kills, 100 warbeads, and enough freakin netherweave to choke a horse. I don't really need the plans for me, but I want to complete the set. DAMN YOU BLIZZ!

EDIT 250 kills and one shiny new set of plans. For grins I flew to Blade's Edge and got the helm plans to drop on my fourth kill. Yay me!

I can now make the full set. Send me mail if you want them made for ya!

OK so im either unlucky or drop rate is horrible. i killed about 300 ogres half being the warriors and no plans. i got like 130 beads and to much netherweave.

This must be the worst drop rate ever ! have used day´s on farming for these plans and no drop. Blizzard need to improve the drop rate, because this is a real pain. Hope this improves my luck, must have passed 300 kills....

Farmed for about 2 hours every day for about a week and I wasn't expecting the gloves. Dropped for me and I was just farming for Mag'har rep. I was excited cause I'm a bs. My advice, don't expect to get it. lol.

Been farming these plans for weeks, literally - have grinded from 104/21000 to currently 17k/21k. and no plans drop.

You may need to be Master Blacksmith for this to drop in BCC.
No drop after 200 kills when I was 300/300.
After learning Master Blacksmithing, 300/375, it finally dropped after 20 kills.
I'm not sure though, please correct me.
