These plans took a lot more killing than the other two Ragesteel plans. Expect to spend an hour killing Warriors to get these -- if you go from the eastern door to the ruins and ride along the outside walls to the northern door, you can have a endless stream of Warriors to kill.

After spending four hours farming the khorium pants plans, these dropped after five kills. It's all luck. Rhaeti (Horde) of Undermine can make the entire Ragesteel set.

Associated quests to do while you farm these: The Ashtongue Broken https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=10807 (Scryer), The Ashtongue Tribe https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=10619 (Aldor) and Tablets of Baa'ri https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=10683 (Scryer) and https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=10568 (Aldor).

The highest concentration of warriors is around the edge of the camp on the east and north (nearest to the Aldor base), with no other aggressive mobs nearby.

You might want to pack some fire resistance gear, as the warriors have a fire damage shield/enhancement effect.

Best spot i found for these was the north-western entrance. Use flying mount and make a circle of going between Oronu the Elder's house and the gate thats below the hill west of that house.

12-13 mobs that u can get to without having to kill anything else if u have flying mount.

For a warrior that has trouble killing these i'd suggest using hamstring and running away when he activates his Fire Shield. It has short duration but does 150 dmg per second during that

Confirmed Ashtongue warriors drop this plan. Location for these guys in shadowmoon valley is 57,34 and much of the surrounding area. although there are only a few that spawn inside this area.

There are a few that sawn on the steps to this area and also a few that patrol. drop rate seemed comparative to most others, although mine dropped around the 245th kill. I advise bringing a set of fire resist gear to use while fighting these.

As a 70 fury warrior i did not have any trouble killing these, but for lower levels i would suggest staying around the steps and the ones that patrol on the outside. Bring a few health pots and some bandages to keep the grinding going.

If you run out of health pots dont worry because these guys drop a bunch of them and an over abundance of netherweave cloth. good luck .

I was very fortunate with this plan, taking a break from questing and grinding the rage steel helm, which still hasn't dropped for me, I went right outside the Aldor keep in Shadowmoon, and the second Ashtounge Warrior I killed dropped it for me. I'd say that's a lot better than the helm.

after getting the plans for the gloves one day, i realized that this was farmable, so i checked here....by coincidence, i had to kill oronu the elder....https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=10684 Oronu the Elder , so i started farming these plans while there...i started at the east entrance, because i came up that way and saw a fel iron ore at 60 37...kill the two warriors at that entrance, flew to 57, 32 where oronu was...killed each warrior to the side of him first...grabbed him then the warrior inside and the two right outside door...i then flew back to the east entrance and started killing them on the outside going north and east around the right side of hill....after about ten kills i logged out(dinner)...logged back on, grabbed that ore again, killed the two by the east entrance again, and then the first one on the north outside that entrance.....dropped!! 13 warrior kills!! Btw.... LVL 70 WARRIOR FTW!

The only thing i have to say is that getting any BoP recepie/pattern highly depends on luck(imo its the only factor :P)

After grinding for the helm and boomstick for a few hours i loged and went back there 2 days later. They both droped within 1 hour of farming.
Then i went for this recepie. It droped after 5 kills(dont know how many kills total because i did a few quests around there back when i was leveling).

So just be patient...grind carefully, dont die and you will surely get it(even a epic or something in the process...hopefully).

TIP: the warriors seemd to do the fire thing at around 50% and below, so be sure to keep your nukes and kill them fast when they are at around 40-50%.
PS: got the gloves patern also 10 min after this one :P(damn i am lucky)

39 kills and they dropped for me - I found that with a flying mount it was pretty easy to pick out the Warriors one at a time, and that there were certain groups that respawned quickly as I flew around - by Onoru the Elder there are 2 outside on the platform, one inside and 3 outside the front entrance, and generally 2 or 3 by each entrance to the ruins. All in all, fairly easy.

Unbelievable. I've been farming these guys for 2 nights - 2-3 hrs each night, and tonight, first Warrior I kill, it drops. Odd luck...

All these posts detailing how many kills it took to drop are pointless....the ragesteel patterns are just like any other rare world drop (except its BoP) - Its a completely random drop from Ashtongue warriors and Murkblood Miners. Some people might get it first kill, others after a thousand kills.

The fact it took "around 245 kills" as one person put it is totally irrelevant to me.

I hate to write this, but I am desperate. I have killed 458 without a drop yet. (That's about 35 circuits around Warrior loop.) A useless comment I know, but I will try anything to get this stupid plan now. And if the pattern holds true to form, I'll have it on my 3rd kill tomorrow. :)

Comparing to the other plans of Ragesteel... the drop rate for this plan is much more accurate.

As a rogue, I've found that using expose armor makes them drop a lot faster.

Don't forget to CloS when they use their self-immolate ability, or possibly gouge and back up to wait until it wears off if you really don't want to get hurt.

Just dropped for me (11/16/07) from one of the Crazed Miners inside the Netherwing mines. I'm honored with NW and have been doing dailies for about a week, been farming them for that long.

I estimate I killed around a hundred or so, pulling the packs 5-6 miners at a time (Holy Pal with Consc/SoRight rotation).

Can make entire set, Horde Side, Sen'Jin(US).

All in all entire set was very easy to farm. Drop rates are pretty decent.

Still shocked they are all BoP.

Got the chestpiece passin thru while goin after the guy out on the balcony. Checked out who drops the rest and that noght got the helm in BEM on the 15 kill then headed to Nagrand for the 3rd and got it in 4 hours . So all 3 patterns in one night.

In a single week without actually looking for them i managed to get the plans for the helm, the gloves, and the breastplate. wasn't even farming, just pure dumb luck.

- also i think this set is gonna rock, when u add them all together you get over 100 extra strength

100 str = 200 AP <--- 200 ap bonus is crazy

I have helm and gloves, but need this breastplate plan. I've been grinding for 3 days probably like 7 hours or so. No drop. My BSing is level 360. Do you think you have to be a certain BS level for these to drop?

Dropped from a regular Murkblood Miner in the Nethercite Mines. Was an accidental aggro of 2 of them. The other dropped a Netherwing Egg!

Took me 3 days of fairly persistent farming of the Ashtongue Warriors to get this. After a while, it was also a matter of curiosity whether they were even still dropping it after 2.1, since they added the drops in the mines on Netherwing Ledge. Well, they do in fact drop it--but it took the longest time by far of the 7 soloable recipes I have. Probably just luck.

I followed approximately the same route as bitserf. If you're 70, flying mount helps to pick out some spawns (7 total, I believe) inside the ruins, but if you're under, I wouldn't bother. Too much other aggro around, and the spawns at the two outside gates and pats along the road should keep you grinding without downtime.

3 hours of grinding these, no drop. Thought I'd post to see if i can get the same luck as some of the other posters.

Confirmed. It still drops from the Ashtongue Warriors. I got mine after killing 65 mobs.

Best place to grind them is in the northwest part of the ruins. There are about 7 spawn places very close together. With my (not so fast grinding) holy paladin I could almost non-stop grind them.

EDIT: Being a blacksmith is required for the drop but having the required skill level is not necessary. I found out I was still too low to learn these plans. I am 367 and the plans are 370.

Just got plans for Ragesteel Breastplate off of Ashtongue Warrior at 61,37. Killed two pats near the road and it dropped from the third right at the entrance. Tried getting this earlier while doing quests in Ruins of Baa'ri and no luck. Turned in quests and went back expecting to grind and was surprised to get it that quick. I now have plans for the full set.

I have all the khorium and ragesteel peices, and the breastplate was by FAR the WORST grind.. but it was a little odd on how it was done.

I started off at the ruins, killing the warriors, I spent 2 days killing them in a type of lap, and then decided that it was begining to get silly.

I checked the comments and then decided to try the mine on the Netherwing island.

The elite at the door is no problem, fly over it and land just inside the door, you wont aggro the elite, or many of the murkblood inside.

to get to the crazed ones is a little bit of a trip, theres plenty of mobs inside the cave.

You need to progress into the south east area of the mine, when you get to the open room, with the railroad tracks and the Blackblood mobs, stay up above, and work your way through the flayers, the murkbloods you need to kill are coming up.

When I got to the murkbloods, I couldnt beleive my luck, rooms FILLED with them, got a beer, and as preparing for a slaughter... 4 miners later, the plans dropped at long last!

If your having no luck with the warriors in the ruins, I highly suggest the hard work to get to the insane murkbloods in the mineshaft, I beleive the hard work payed off :)

So according to the Thottbott timestamp, I had posted my intentions to test pre-@#$%^ing 28 days ago.

Things got weird, i decided not to farm that night, and I only jsut got around to it now.

I have my Ragesteel Breastplate plans after 42 kills, which is way under average compared to the people who have posted here so far.

My hypothesis so far is that pre-@#$%^ing is as effective as regular thott ^&*!@ing, but is subject to diminishing returns based on time, further testing to follow, as soon as i figure out what the hell i have left to farm.

I hearthed to Shatt, flew to Shadowmoon and started farming. The plans dropped about 5 minutes before I could hearth again. Cool beans.

152 kills, 12 stacks of Netherweave Clock later, they dropped.

Now, off to start the Felsteel set.

Wow, what a grind. Here is my experiance of getting all 4 plans. I got drop at blacksmithing level 340-360.

Ragesteel Gloves - Dropped off the 42nd Boulderfist Warrior in Nagrand 49,56 inside and outside of cave

Ragesteel Helm - dropped of the 2nd guard i killed in BEM at 72,40 (very happy about that)

Ragesteel Shoulders - After what seemed like 100 Enraged Air elementals( didnt mind as i needed the moted, i got sick of it and went kill enraged rock and fire's and it dropped off the 8th Enraged Fire spirit at location 48,44

Ragesteel Breastplate - Took quite a while but it dropped off the 75th Ashtongue where i farmed out front of Alter of sha'tar from one entrance to other of ruins 56,33 - 61,36(dont need to enter ruins)

i grinded in hours in a row so it would drop on the respawns that i killed .

Okay so I read it and did it spent about four hours grinding with magefood I figure I kill two per food sometimes three so between 80 and 10 of them so far plus other assorted riffraff.

I figured, shure let's go try the luck of the post and I'll update it when ah hit and let ye know me findings.

Being a Prot Pally had its benefits, while it takes me a long time to down these guys, it meant that I could hang around by the stairs near 54,33 and there would slowly respawn by the time i was up near 56,36. Still no drop yet, maybe this will give the old 'Posters Luck'

UGH.I was helping my friend with some scryer quests out here in shadowmoon while on my Shaman (hes an herb/alchemist) and the plans dropped for her.I wasnt mad at all except now that Im actually farming them.57 of these damn warriors and no drop wtf.She got them on the 12th.

Rough drop rate compared to many other BoP recipes!

Took me 172 Ashtongue Warrior kills. Flying mount to hop between their spawn points helps a lot, but sticking to the stairs where 4 spawn and looping around the outer edge of the hill/mountain to the other entry point into the compound should net you a good 10-12 kills if nobody else is farming them. Good luck mates!

Confirming drop from Ashtongue Warrior - TBC Classic Phase 1 (55.11, 33.15 area) after 119 kills. Honestly not too bad of a grind took maybe an hour of constant looping around the ruins killing warriors.
