Just like all BoP schematics in TBC, Its droprate is much better than it looks, since only engineers will see this drop, therefore WoWhead doesn't count it when it would have dropped for a non-engineer.

Started off grinding for the felsteel boomstick with no success so switched to this. Ground for about an hour killing nothing but the weaponsmiths and killing them fairly quickly as a holy paladin. I guess like the other BoP 360 engineering recipes it really is a matter of luck (or lack of it!).

3rd kill, it dropped... blizz owes me though. Ive spent so much f-ing gold trying to skill up on junk that no one wants for engineering.

I was nervous that having my engineering at 330 would invalidate me to get this drop, but on the 3rd day, it dropped for me.

Good grinding spot for a hordie. Right next to base, Aldor Marks, lots of cloth, and plenty of mobs. I ate through 12 experience bars during my 69th level.

Since it doesn't say where it drops: the pattern just dropped off a Mo'arg Weaponsmith in Legion Hold for me.

Took about a half hour for this thing to drop. I got it off a Mo'arg Weaponsmith as well.

I had to kill exactly 282 Weaponsmiths to get the scematic. Enjoy the grind.

It drops from the weaponsmiths in "Legion Hold". Western Shadowmoon.

I decided I would farm these last night so i started killing the weaponsmiths... On my 5th kill i got a drop for fel strength elixer and im an alchemist. Then i got back from work on my 10th kill i got the drop for the goggles. Im thinkin maybe they are more likely to drop if you have the professions, cuz i killed 20 of em and got both drops.

As far as getting my engineering skill from 320-360 it cost me about 1k g so beware ...they better be worth it im making them today =)

I've killed over 200 now without a drop, yawn. I did get Honored with Aldor though....

Got it after about 30kills... Pretty easy IMO. Wish there were more and weren't so spread out.

Been farming this on and off for a week now. About 5 hours. I can clear all of them faster than they respawn, so ive killed a lot. Still no drop.

3 hours, still haven't gotten it.
But I did get my schematic: Felsteel boomstick from forge camp: anger in black rock mtns; if you're looking for cheapest way to lvl up engineering 360-375 that's the way to go.

theres 14 weaponsmiths in the area. Clearing them all takes 7.5 minutes. eating is another .5

so eight minutes. 15 curtuits in 2 hours. 14x15 = 210 killed every 2 hours. Ive done this three days now, thats 630 weaponsmiths killed.

and no drop. It doesnt exist

I can confirm that this recipe still drops. Just got it after killing Weaponsmith's for about 45 minutes.

Interesting.

I went out over the past few days to farm this schematic, as well as the Khorium Scope and Felsteel Boomstick schematics.

Luckily, the Khorium Scope schematic only took me about 10 kills to score. The Felsteel Boomstick schematic took me roughly 100 kills to score, which was rather painful with only 5 mobs in the world that drop it. And alas, these good ol' Hyper-Vision Goggles. I've been farming them on and off at various times of the day for the past couple days, as well as while I type this. My total kill count for them so far is 467, and it has not dropped yet. I've got countless Netherweave and Marks of Sargeras, as well as a decent stack of Fel Armaments, but nope -- no schematic. I'll post back when I finally get it to drop.

Shame I really don't even want the thing, just getting it to have it, and perhaps to allow me to make more items to get those last few levels to 375.

Shortly after making the previous post, they finally dropped. A total of 486 kills. Geez. Good luck! :P

This schematic dropped for me yesterday 30 Oct. '07. I was casually flying into SMV and decided to kill the first demon I saw, and he dropped this! Sadly, these goggles are nothing compared to the epic engineered goggles (I wear Deathblow XII Goggles).

Although I was (am) excited about getting this lucky drop, I don't see myself getting much use from it, seeing as how you can craft much better goggles just by going to the engineering trainer, and these blue Hyper-Vision goggles, while BoE, require the 360 eng skill to equip anyway! Sad sad sad :(

EDIT: Yes it seems these goggles are officially obsolete. Apparently this schematic was introduced with The Burning Crusade, before Blizzard introduced the epic engineered goggles in a later patch. Farming for this schematic is a pure waste of time!

Ok so I took some screen shots of when it droped for me as prof of it's existance ...lol ...... I wont tell you how many we killed for it to drop nor that we wern't even looking for it ....

It is a specific drop just for engineers it seems I was in a party with one other and as u can see by our convo and roll, He Didn't even see it, let alone get a roll LMAO ... Hi and Thanks for the help Nikorahguarr! .....

I don't know how many hundreds of these guys that I've killed so far, but I have 7 Fel Armaments and nearly a hundred Mark of Sargeras...either something is borked that's making them not drop (I am a 367 engineer), they've moved it to another mob, or I am the unluckiest person on the planet.

Allakhazam doesn't even list this as a drop for the Weaponsmiths anymore either, so I suspect shenanigans...

Dudes i walked in there not even chasing it .... it droped from the first kill.... u do the math it's a ramdom drop! of course some ppl will taken longer than others ..... if u think it will drop for you like it did me ..chances are u'll never see it .... first day of patch 2.3. thought i'd see if the drop rate of these things has been improved. i've probably spent half an hour grinding for these things in the past with no luck

This thing does exist. Was catchin a friend of mine up with me on quests and we were headin to get the Fel armor when this dropped. Made me so happy. It does exist.

A while ago I had switched form enchanting to engineering, because of the goggles. I told myself I'm gonna lvl it up, I didn't. A month later its still at lvl 1. So I run into the legion camp as a 70 to earn some money from quests. Bam, first and only ever kill of weapon smith it drops. Guess what? My engineering is STILL lvl 1 -_-

Been trying to get the schematics drop for four days. Killed hundreds of Mo'gar weaponsmiths, so far no drop. Aquired countless nitherweave cloth, many many greens, water pouches, fel armorments, mark, gray items, potions, etc. Seems like everything drops except the goggles schematic.? Gone form level 67 to 68 just farming this item. Least Wrathwalker's drop decent loot.

It took about 230 Mark of Sargeras, 160 Netherweave Cloth and three Fel Armaments, but I frigging got it in the end.

I didn't even know this existed... it dropped for me while doing a quest. I probably killed 5 engineers or so.

Can anyone confirm if these drop in Phase 1 of TBC Classic? I have been farming the Weaponsmiths for awhile and have yet to see them drop. Since the epic goggles that engineers craft will not be available until Phase 2, might that also be the case with these goggles?
