I don't quite understand the point of this hammer in game. Feral druids now are getting crazy and nice staves. Balance druids probably will pick other stuff with much higher dmg/healing. Shaman with 2hander won't like this. I guess Blizzard probably design this for a paladin.

Well, if I go for Ret, then this is way too fast and SoC will suffer. Yeah I know someone will say this is a dmg weapon for holy spec pally. Well for holy, dmg/healing pretty much means everything so I would rather get a high dmg/healing mace or a mage/lock sword and carry a shield which will give me much better dmg and higher armor. Nowadays there are lots of good dmg/healing 1hander in game. Also I can block attack with the shield.

I just don't understand a super fast 2hander witth low dmg/healing on it...

I wouldn't think so, if you're a pally and you have reckoning you have enough points in prot so that it would be more beneficial to wear a shield =D

but this is perfect for shamans, windfury works best with weapons that attack faster than 3.50 attack speed, in my opinion, and a 2h weapon with 2.20 attack speed is like god with windfury >:)

This isn't bad for a two-hander holy build paladin either. It's got stamina, intellect, spell power, and mana/5 after all. Yes, there might be some holy paladins who, like myself, like carrying a two-handed weapon ;)

I guess it goes without saying that this is an awesome weapon for an enhancement (or enh hybrid) shaman also. The combination of strength & stam with intellect, spellpower and 4 mp5 would be an awesome boost. The only downside is that it's a bit faster than some of the other awesome 2H weapons around this level.

When i lvl my first paladin back in 2.1 patch day found i good use 4 this as retribution paladin.

Does this still have spell damage on it? In 2.4, pretty much everything with STR and spell damage on it got the spell damage removed because evidently it is all ret pally gear (?!?).

best 2 hander for enhancement shaman...i recommend it ..the wf procs is amazing and wit 2.20 speed..its a great weapon if get it..enjoy u wont regret..peace

Drops from the 2nd boss of Hellfire Ramparts. Got mine this evening :)
As a holy paladin (40/11/0) it's a fantastic 2-hander, and a really big upgrade from my TUF. With my build, the fact it's a very fast speed (2.2) isn't a problem because SoR adds holy damage on every swing rather than being proc-based like Seal of Command and relying on very slow weapons.

I just got this from Omor in the Ramparts. This is more suited for a pally but my druid and shamans in general could easily find a place for this. I needed it because no one did and I gotta say it makes a very nice backup when i have to multitask in instances. Love the fiery glow it comes with too. Easy to get .. a must have for you all hybrid class lovers. =)

Really good 2-hander for my holy/prot (41/11/0) lv61 paladin. Great stats, and the fast speed isn't a problem because I don't have SoC to need a fast weapon. Finally getting rid of my TUF now.

I just got this today. Very nice weapon. Very fast attack speed for a 2 hand. I also have the Unstoppable Force, both have the +25 agility enchant. In using it, it does damage more frequently due to attack speed but hits, particularly crits, are considerably weaker. But, for a drop off a very easy boss in a short instance, this is a must have.

I think if I had the cash laying around (since TBC THROWS gold at you it's plausible) I'd grab the mats for this and put a spell damage enchant on it, making up for the lower-end of +damage which I see as its only real downside.

I'd rather have the polearm drop than this, better for SoC, higher crits. This is a nice mace though, more for a shamy than a pally most likely.

This is an awsome weapon for use in combination with Seal of Justice. With a few lucky procs, the weapon speed will help you hold a caster mob stunned most of the fight...

In combination with Seals of Light and -Wisdom it also rocks :)

I must have done Ramparts 15 times now and i've never ever seen this thing drop. It's driving me nuts because I want it so bad. I'm getting a bit discouraged to be honest.

I ran ramparts 2 times lastnight. This was one of the drops. After what I have seen with this weapon, I would not trade if for anything for quite some time.The down side is small damage, up side is you hit more often. Spell damage enchant? Oh yes, your pally is ready to rock!

got this yesterday... hadnt used a mace in quite some time so i had to lvl it up. anyway this weapon is awesome. when im by myself questing i need something that hits hard and adds a little something to my spells. but this is a must for a ret pally. im 42/11/0 so i stick with my sword and shield in instances.

I have had this on my resto shaman since lvl 60 and am now 68. I thought I should look at upgrading to a more 'current' weapon - can not find anything out there that I would like to swap it for except maybe a staff from Prince Shaffar in Mana Tombs - can't remember it's name sorry. When healing in groups I have a 1H mace and shield that boosts healing and intell - but for out and out soloing around the place this is the bomb. If you don't have one - go back to the Ramparts and get it - you need the rep to go heroic anyway.

Ok im a 59 paladin Retibution im debateing Hellreaver Or This

I got it yesterday for my ret pally. It looks really awesome with the glow that comes with it. I didn't notice the speed difference until I read this page but 2.20 is kewl for a 2h weap. I'll try to post a pic later, it's Tuesday and Blizz has us locked out :P

TBH, I'm not sure that this is such a great paladin weapon. My level 65 pally is 15/41/0 so I'll always go with sword and shield whether tanking, healing or soloing. And pallies who care about DPS (which I don't) will probably want a slow two-hander rather than this.

Nevertheless, I do have it. I found it by accident in my inventory when I was doing a clearout a few days ago - I must have won it in a greed roll or something. o_O I have to agree the graphic does look pretty cool, and it looks like the sort of weapon a paladin *should* have - so I'm not planning on vendoring it for a while.

this is by all means NOT a ret. pally weapon. Maybe if u got that 25 agil enchant on it, otherwise 2.2 is just too slow to get full effect from SoC. If u want a "faster" weapon, grab a 3.0-3.4 weapon and just use seal of the crusader, the +atkpwr it gives makes up for the "less damage every hit" effect

I like to refer to this as "Verigan's Fist II," as it is perfect for a paladin of pretty much any build. As for dps paladins, the faster speed of the weapon means more applications of Holy damage with Seal of Righteousness... Holy damage is where a dps paladin's damage truly comes from, after all.

this mace was introduced at the exact same time as the change to reckoning with the release of TBC.
it is for a prot/ret paladin (reckoning build) and is intended not for SoComm.
if it is coupled with SoR it can produce 6 melee blows in 8 seconds as well as the righteousness to go along with it.
this build is hard to top, although it's more of a solo build probably intended for leveling through hellfire and beyond by solo questing. my 58 is currently spec'd to use this type of weapon, although there are a few changes i'll make shorty to the build before i get this hammer.

until TBC reckoning was a whole different creature that used a much slower weapon and worked off crits, not hits.
this weapon fits blizzards intended use of prot/ret perfectly for the release.
