The Use effect can't be activated after the 10 charges wear off. Still a good amulet for its SR.

Have a few of these for your BT raid, and activate them for your group before Mother S, and you have a nice start for the fight.

You need Adamantite Powder not Ore. Adamantite Powder can be much cheaper than Ore.

The use effect only has 10 charges. That's it. Basically worthless unless you just take it along for the really crappy groups who can't do the first boss of MT in heroic without help.

But then what is the point, particularly as they won't be able to do the final boss anyway.

Arc of course is simple even in heroic, and you can skip that first boss.

Curious, it says Aldor rep needed to pick-up recipe (duh), and the item is BoP... Also says Aldor rep needed to WEAR it.

I was hoping to get this recipe and switch to Scryers. As a shaman, I can mitigate everything with totems EXCEPT shadow, and it would be nice to have this and the scryers alternative: Pendant of Withering in my JC list...

The item doesn't look BoP. Perhaps they changed it recently. Also, it doesn't look like you need rep to wear it. :\

Is the necklace destroyed after you used up all 10 charges? or can you still wear it as shadow res piece? also, it would be great if we could somehow recharge it. let's say you'd need a shadow res pot and some arcane dust or whatever to add more charges to it.
it also is very useful for 1st hexlord boss in ZA with all his hateful shadow bolts :(

Seems to be very useful at 5th boss in ZA (Malacrass). 105 shadow resist (flask+buff) is just not enough. For Kara geared raids it is recommended to have SR enchant on head (20) and shoulders (7) + this neck.

What is the cooldown on the Use ability? if any

Does the use on this neck count as a potion cooldown? This would be great since its essentially a 900-2700 shadow protection potion for a party member but I bet they made it so you're potion's go on cooldown when you use it in which case, I would just use a better shadow protection neck (phase 3 questline) and a better shadow resist potion.
