This item will only drop if you have a jewelcrafter in the party, and if it does, only the jewelcrafter(s) will be able to roll on it. That explains the low droprate, in reality it's probably a bit higher.

I can confirm this drops in normal mode. Had it on my second kill.

Q: Does a JC need a certain skill level to see this drop, or would any JC see it?

I got this on my first try on normal. No other JC's in the party, so it was a good deal for me. This is something you only make if someone provides the mats.

They appear to have changed it so that now it is visible by non-JC's, but still only able to be rolled on my JC's. It dropped today and the holy pally was the only JC, however I could see the pattern in the loot window. Not sure if they've done the same for other professions.

dropped on my 3rd run. just doing a favor for a friend and healing, didnt even want to be there. But i was rewarded for healing for his grp (karma?) haha

i can craft:
Keefernan, Laughing Skull (US) alliance, can post in neutral AH if horde wants
i'll do it for a minimal fee with your mats, or maybe i'll have farmed some, pst me

i looked this up and thought it would be a cool design to learn, got it on my 10th old hillsbrad run.

i'm a Warrior Jewelcrafter though so i guess its gonna mostly be used for my guildies, couldnt imagine anyone crazy enough to farm these materials, and tip on top of that...

very cool design to have, any Horde on Boulderfist that wants one send in-game mail to Tudas and i can craft one for you, you're mats of course.

Got this today in regular Durnholde run. Don't know if the mats are worth the product. On my server it would cost at least 340g to make.
