You can learn this pattern in the current 2.0.1 patch from Meilosh in the timbermaw hold. Not sure if other trainers also have this pattern. I was revered with them when i checked him.

The net only lasts 3 seconds (and the UI shows the countdown), and I have seen it break on damage.

Very useful on Rogues that use CloS when you are a dps caster.

Extremely useful against Cloak of Shadows+Sprint rogues, since it's not a magical effect, therefor it won't get affected by the increased resistance of the Cloak of Shadows.

Is it me, or is a 3 second hold a little useless? Very few situations would this be worth using, and even then to very little effect. Unless 6 vs 1 for constant holding, not worth it. Even then, its 6 vs 1!

Since I was able to craft it I never leave home with a stack or two. This is completely AMAZING for world PvP. /drool I cant count how many times I have stopped a druid or a shaman from running away from me thanks to this. And I can neither count the amount of times it has saved my ass too. Wroks GREAT on CloS rogues, or any melee class really. Against rogues I personally use it to take away 3 secs off the 5 second CloS effect w/o getting my face smashed in. I also use it to give me some time to get away from warriors until I can fear them again. Or simply just to run away.

The funniest use I have found for it was once during a small attack in SW. It was a mage priest healer and MS warrior. The MS warrior was alone at one point in Dwarven District, then he sprinted (mounted) from there to Mage tower where his friends were. On the way i used the net by mistake. There inmobollized he got umounted/dazed by the countless number of guards pummeling him. /ROFL was all i did while i lol´d IRL.

How many times these nets have saved my butt against rogues with Cloak of Skill is incredible. Enjoy it while it lasts before some whiney rogue QQs to the devs about not being about to 2 hit mages anymore.

Learnt in Thrallmar.

Not a big deal, situational of course, but still gives a little edge.

It can make it easier to get closer to a hunter or further from a rogue/pally/warrior. It has also helped me a couple of times against Vorpil in Shadow Labyrinth, just managing to keep an approaching voidwalker snared for the time the tank needed to take Vorpil away.

However it's ultimate use is against rogues and their f*cking OP CloS, when you see the rogue turn black snap the Netherweave net button... ta-da ! most if not all of his invulnerability has been spent trapped in the net, it can wipe the smile off many confident rogues faces.

This is trainable from the Timermaw Furbolgs, Meliosh, the same guy who teaches you the pattern for Mooncloth boots. I'm not sure if you can actually get the Netherweave Cloth to make it though.

Requires 300 tailoring to use. Not BoP, though, so you can buy these and use them as early as lvl 35.

This net is really awesome, it comes well handy in pvp. Just love it in, it doesnt stun it only nets them. But it gives u a few seconds to catch up on em. Finally something funny in tailoring.

I see this coming in handy against rogues who pop Cloak of Shadows. Sure, they're basically immune to magic but nets aren't magic. :P

I'm only a lvl 47 mage and waiting till lvl 50 to have someone port me over b/c then I can get trained to port myself to shatt. I then cannot confirm this myself but you can look at these links that show what Hama at Honor Hold trains and Meilosh at Timbermaw Hold trains:

huh, that's strange everywhere I went to look on the net it says 50 to self teleport. I'll find out once I get to 50 and have a higher level mage port me there. Nonetheless I actually just got to Timbermaw hold friendly reputation and Meilosh actually had the netherweave net skill to train me in. So, regardless of what other sites say I was able to learn that skill from him Maybe the tailor in outlands does too but this is how I got it

There is a new Heavy Netherweave Net that isnt in the game yet, just beta. u can wowhead it, advantage is u get 10 more range than the standard one. i hope they allow u to use it in arena, as a holy priest itd be very nice to have somewhat of a melee dps advantage.

For the idiot who asked about the arena, AGAIN. NO!
Since its 300 tailoring I imagine a 35 can use these if he maxs tailoring out. He may need to somehow get to thrallmar (lock summon?) or just Ghost honorgrind with timbermaw (mmm clothie recipes)if he wants to make them, or just buy them off someone? Pretty damn useful anyway.

You CAN use this in battlegrounds. Perfect when trying to kill someone that is running away from you and is almost dead.

I also use it a lot on enemy that is chasing me as well. Very handy item to have as a priest.

In BGs, this is probably the single most useful item a warlock can have nowadays.

Against hard hitting melee classes your primary lines of defense will be iHOT, fear, COE, and deathcoil. But when that warrior goes fear immune or when that rogue uses CLOS, all those spells become momentarily meaningless. That short amount of time they have of total immunity to your CC will almost certainly mean your death if they are even decently geared.

So this is your last line of defense. A warrior will pop their immunity usually right after your first fear spell (HOT or fear). They should have run away in fear for at least 1-2 seconds and you should throw the net at them the exact moment you see them break out of fear, because an intercept is almost certainly going to follow. This will buy you invaluable time to LOS their intercept while throwing on more DOTs. A rogue will pop their CLOS usually when they realize COE will prevent them from catching up or you have feared them off and they're taking too much damage from DOTs (they will trinket and then CLOS in this case). The exact moment you see CLOS go up, throw your net. It's even better if they CLOS and sprint because you're making them burn both cooldowns. Use this time to get more distance and re-apply DOTs. The duration of net and the time it takes for the rogue to run towards you will be enough for CLOS to wear off.
