these are used to get friendly rep with the sporegarrs , i suggest , that you gather around 50 of those , then do the quest The Sporelings' Plight (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9739) and More Spore Sacs from the same npc until you are pretty close to being friendly , then kill a few bog lords to get on the border on becoming friendly (they all give 15 rep) then just hand in this quest and start questing for sporegarr , this will sve you a bit of farming for rep , maybe 1k or so , maybe more depending on how you do it

that's what the main purpose seems to be, but i believe only the bog lord tendrils is repeatable (until friendly). can anybody verify?

They can be collected after turning in the quest. Are they used for anything else like a repeatable quest? They stack in lots of 200 so it doesn't really make sense if you only need 10 on them.

Mature Spore Sac is a quest related item - you need to collect them to complete The Sporelings' Plight & More Spore Sacs quest.

Make your way to the west of the quest giver to The Spawning Glen location. Mature Spore Sacs are all across the area, look like small orange vegetation.
You can collect even more than 10 so you can turn in the quest and immediately pick up and turn in More Spore Sacs after that. You need to get some rep anyway.
