at the moment, im lvl 62 using Cold Forged Hammer from the AV quest, i cant wait to get this one seeming that im an elemental shammy, probly the best shammy mace from 61-65

Excellent weapon for paladins. The magic bonus on this is insane. The only other compareable rare weapons at this level are

the Spellfire longsword:

The preservers Cludgel

Both the sword and the cludgel are more difficult to achieve and not as good for a sword and board pally. The sword has spell hit which is not as important as mp5. If your a healadin then the cludgel makes alot more sense, but only for instances.

is for healers.
Spell hit is better than mp5 for a tankadin.
Stats for a Tankadin:

Stamina
Block
Defense
Spell Hit
Spell Damage ( important! )

You're partially correct when you say it's easier to get than the two listed items, however https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=24361 is about the same difficulty level as the Sledgemace.

How do you misspell cudgel when typing comments automatically tells you when you're wrong, ALSO you could also look at the item itself...

This Weapon is extremely good for every spell dps'er.

i have been looking it up and can't see any quest rewards that are worth switching it in for, before 67+.

on the other i have noticed the bad dropp rate. done Blood Furnace about 10 times now and not seen it dropp. might be my über bad luck, but it's absolutly worth going BF alot of times.

As an elemental Shaman i would rather have https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31758 its little less stam and int, and a little lack of spell damga, but the critt makes it all good for a shaman, + the dagger is easier to optain.

I just got this like an hour ago, and you can compare it to damn near any mace endgame wise.

Stinger of Ayamiss(Stinger of Ayamiss Hammer(Aurastone Hammer Hexxer(Jin'do's Hexxer is better than several maces you can get from Raiding, if you have the chance to get it, go for it, no matter what spec of a shammy/druud you are(unless your feral), you have to get this.

Before the xpac I was considering rep farming cc to get the hammer of the gathering storm...gald I didnt. nice replacement to my aurastone hammer; which both weapons have the exact same visual.

There is no comparison for a 1h mace run by a 5man in the old content I know of. Very awsome for my newly lvl 60 holy/disc priest. Coming into BC in no tier/pvp gear and decking out in this stuff. good luck getting the drop and winning the roll.

This is awesome for my protection pally; i just want to know why the nerfed the white damage on it! I mean, items at this item level are supposed to have higher DPS, aren't they? Or did they trade that DPS so they could put more damage/healing on it?

I know pally's hold agro with their holy and not with their white damage, but still, its more than 10 dps lower than the sword that drops from Ramparts.

Great mace! I ran blood furnace at level 59 with my Draenei shaman, along with 2 pallys and 2 rogues ranging from level 62-64. The two palidans each had Aurastone Hammers and passed the mace along to me, even though I can't equip yet! This mace appears to be better than the Aurastone (except in DPS)... I guess all those long hours in MC waiting for the hammer to drop make it seem just a little bit nicer.

This is a elem/resto sham weap, because I'm a elem/resto sham, and I have this weap. Oh, and it pwnzes. :) Only downside as a sham is that it has its own aura, so your leet weapon buffs dont appear on (around) it. /cry

It has the same graphics as the Quest item "Mogor's Anointing Club", but the stats are better for solo PVE or PVP. I use Mogors for Dungeons on my Resto Shaman, to improve healing, and change to this for damage and healing when solo.
One of the nicest One Handed Maces in the game.

The dungeon is easy to clear and only a short run, so you will certainly get this in a short time if you really want it.

Got this in the Furnace. Whole team decided I could have it. It's sweet for my holy/dicpl priest. Now I need a good off hand to carry with it.

got this mace a couple days ago and was vl 60 just lvled to 61 yesterday and this mace is @#$%^in, 100% prot pally. It doest do as much dmg as Foe Reaver but i jsut got a guildy to enchant it with some extra dmg to make up for the loss

I just looted it off the maker for my level 62 pure healadin pally char. It is extremely lovely for a pure healer all i can say, granted, shamans deserve this weapon too, but i believe all holy paladins should need this as well. Sure am glad i did !

ive done this instance at least 6-10 times and it never droped... if your looking to get it you thinking about 10-15 runs

Is this any good for a Prot Pally? I've just re-specced and think the +spell dmg would help hold aggro well.. if you could get an ench on it for say + 12str, or something, that might help make up for it? I suppose you could socket your gear to compensate for the lack of Str on it.. but I'd say a prot pally could fairly roll on this?

Ive used this mace now from i got it on 60 until 66. It worked nice for me as a protection paladin. It has also been used when i have healed in instances. Overall a good mace that has served me well. Only disanvantage is a little low speed.
This mace is also nice for shamans and priests.

Upgraded it yesterday to Crystallblade of the Dranei witch will serve me for a while on my path to 70.
