This is one of the lowest level blue weapons that is available new in The Burning Crusade. This item is approximately equivalent to the "Claw of Chromaggus" (Pre-Expansion). For something acquired so soon into Outlands, this dagger really packs a punch.

As far as actually getting your hands on this item, you'll have to find some friends and venture into "The Underbog" where the third boss, Swamplord Musel'ek, has a small (< 10%) chance of rewarding you with this dagger.

This is a very nice dagger for low level casters to get some +hit; the only other non-epic dagger is the Starlight Dagger that drops in Heroic Slave Pens, so that is a lot farther down the road for a toon just hitting Outlands.

Sadly, the only +hit off-hands are in Arcatraz and Black Morass, so getting +hit into the 20s via daggers and off-hands won't be happening until the late sixties for most folks.

A two-handed alternative is the Staff of Polarities from Tavarok, the 2nd boss in Mana Tombs -- with +28 hit, you can boost that stat significantly, and much earlier in the game.

easy fight, take claw to 20% then kill boss when claw turns friendly.

This wep is a nice upgrade and will help in the level grind. Cheers swamplord musel'ek :)

Actually this is prob the ardest fight in the instance, lol, it really is a fun easy instance. Good game blizz.

Swamplord Musel'ek (the one with the bear) in Underbog. Not mentioned above, so...

The weapon itself, with the combo int/stam spelldamage is obviously good for any caster but mages might want spell criticals. Looking forward to getting it for my warlock...

Dropped for me today. These one-handers are approaching the quality of the GM / HWL mageblades pretty fast. It's very similar to the spellfire longsword from Slave Pens except for its weapon class and slightly less stam and more +hit / +dam.

I got it off of the boss with the bear pet (who turns out to be a lost druid)

Great with an off-hand +spell dmg item.

Got this for my Shadow Priest at 64, paired it with Mekeda's Gift, spiffy combo :D
