These are great for pvp. Obviously not usable in arenas, but in other battlegrounds they are immense.
They stack with other speed enhancing abilities and buffs, so - just imagine a rogue running for the flag, getting speed buff, using sprint, and taking one of these - Half the rogues out there use engi boots too these days, so there's another pump of speed.

If you are having trouble in the Al'ar fight, these can be a lifesavior for the tanks when they need to get hold of Al'ar after the Fire Quill.

also great in pve, if you are a warrior, or another class that can't escape easily and are almost about to die u can still run away i usually have some in my inventory so i die less if i get in tight situations

I made a ton of these for use in PvP with my warlock. Being able to get out of range again fast after DoTing people is really handy.

I also have used them on my druid to run from wipes in instances if Dash is not up. The cost of the potion is way less that the cost of a death on my epic repair bill :-)

this potion was hard for me to sell, it might depend on when i sold it or just my server, but it hardly ever sold. Not to mention it really depends on your servers market on the buyout. my server has it around like 2g max

I think this is actually very useful
i mean ALOT useful in Warsong Gulch(pvp) because once you get the flag of the Horde/Alliance
u can just run for it, get the speed buff in tunnel, and use a potion after speed buff is gone and u can just run to base and win a point unless the Horde/Alliance hasnt already gotten ur flag yet

And if u use a rogue and get the speed buff then use sprint after the speed buff u dont need to waste a Swiftness potion unless u have many stacks of it :)

I'm on magtheradon as well, but lately I've found its not such a good seller. Some dumb!@#$ put up a ton of them on the AH dirt cheap, and people undercut him. Now its not even selling for 1g a 5 stack

i personaly think this is the best potion recept for its price

and it is easy to make potions - when i bought it
i made 20 potions and had herbs for another 20 :)

today it saved me twice - veeery usefull :) i love it
there was no other way to escape with my 25lvl warlock :) except...speed !

BTW the realm is mad in all prices u can sell 20 linen cloth for 50 silver :D

So, just to recap, you can find this recipe from the wolves outside goldshire, by fishing the river in wailing caverns, by buying it from the recipe vendor in westfall, or by paying a ridiculous ammount in AH.

Is there anywhere else that I missed?

ive probly done the deadmines 75+ times and ive seen it drop 2 times in there, once at level 20, and again while i was soloing it at 42. the recepie goes for about 20g on my server (smolderthorn) and 5 pots for about 3g(cuz its PvP and people flee a ton) and this is the best money maker out there. the money i make from these pots is close to arance trans. so 20g BO is not alot.

It appears one strat to do Anubrekhan is to have the main tank pop one of these every two minutes and kite Anubrekhann while he is locust swarming. Very useful potion!

I found the recipe while a friend was running me through VC. I had been lookong and had begun to think about buying it but, what do you know, three days later dropped of off a random monster in VC. I've been selling these potions for about 4 gold a stack. The potions are extremely useful on PvP servers but why do they sell so high?

only way for a character to move faster than epic mount is a feral druid with 30% speed increase talent for catform, wearing 4 piece their pvp set and hit dash.

Yeah i bought it today for about 30s and my 60 druid, sent to my lvl 12 pally. Costing me about 1.2g to make 5 and they sell for 3.75g on my server. Pretty tidy.

I use to sell these on AH for 3g B.O. I'm currently lvl 25, and I make sure that I'll get atleast 10g per day by picking herbs for about 20 mins; its really worth the time.

I saw this recipe on the AH for 6g the other day, asked a buddy of mine how well it sold, and bought it out as soon as I could. Within about half an hour I'd made twice my gold back. A stack of 5 of these will sell for 4-6g usually on Altar of Storms, or at least it has lately, so I thought it was definitely worth the buy. Get it if you can

well it only has a 2 min cool down like most of the healing potions mana restore potions but dont rely on it if u gunna have to use it twice

These are awsome in battlegrounds im a rogue and if my sprint is down wo0o0o0osh its like i have another sprint the only downsoide is the recipe can be expensive the mats arent hard to get tho so if u stack a bunch up its like 2 prints WENEVER =)

I'm a shammy. On more than one occasion while leveling have I seen a ? PvPer head my way with "the look" in their eyes.

On more than one occasion, I can imagine their surprise when I used my Water Walking buff, drank one of these pots, and ran across the nearest body of water so fast that they were sure I trained with Jesus.

Once as I started recalling home in the middle of a lake, I got a group of 3 70's who were going to gank me all stop at the edge of the water and /salute and / bow me.

Yeah. I like these things a lot. You should too.

Bought the recipe for 1g in AH, very useful if you're a flag runner, I use sprint with my rogue, then this piece and I got a 80% chance to capture the flag.
Bought another recipe to use on my alt.

I sell stacks and stacks of these. I have an alt in Silver Pine with which I spend 15 minutes a day farming the mats, usually gathering enough for a stack and a half. I make and sell a lot of potions, but nothing's close to the profitability of Swiftness when it comes down to the time it takes and the gold it makes (Although Elixir of Ogre's Strength comes a close second). If you want the recipe, check the auction house everyday for a week, and, at least on my server, you'll be able to get it for less than 4 gold. Considering your first stack will pay at least that, it's gold well worth spending!

Bought recipe for about 3g buyout.

a stack of 20 swiftthistle sells for about 9g on my server.
A stack of 20 briarthorn sells for about 1g.

20 swiftthistle + 20 briarthorn = 20 swiftness potions = 4 stacks

I sell a stack of 5 potions for 5g. = 20g total

that's 100% profit biznitches!

These potions own. Buy the recipe ALL budding alchemists! I did, and i assure you, its not a waste of money (provided you have Herbalism, coz Swifthistle is bloody expensive).
Dont sell Swiftness pots for 1g. They sell for 2 or 3g, coz a stack of 20swifthistle will cost you about 10g. do the math hehe.

I just found this recipe.

It dropped in the dead mines.

If one does the qst called Collecting memories , you have to venture to the undead part of the mines. The pulls are tricky since one usually gets 2.

At the start of the entry, there are 2 undead dynamte types ... its in the next swarmy room is where this recipe dropped for me. Off an undead miner.

Also, while going there, a digger on the wooden bridge dropped arcane resistance recipe.

I keep hearing how this is dropping on the horde side in Barrens .. I'm here to say , not true.

damn, hellfire AH sucks. i sold this stuff 1stack=5g buyout. later, ppl have knocked it down to 3g-. today, i saw this is as cheap as 60-55s. WTF? this is rare and people are UNDERCUTTING BY A FEW BLOOMIN GOLD!

These things are WONDERFUL! A stack of 5 will get you about 1 gold at the AH, and for a lvl 60 Alchemy recipe, thats DAMN good!

I was so lucky and got this recipe for 5g! There were 2 others for 15g so I'm quite happy. ^.^ I'm selling these for 75s a piece so if anyone is on Zul'Jin and wants some of these, send me a message!

Still works perfectly fine at 70. Can save your life when a group or raid is dying, or be used to run flags in BGs. If you combine with blessing of freedom, that will protect your speed buff. In EOS, the 15s is just long enough to take you from the pick up to a turn in.
