Mine contained a Living Ruby and Noble Topaz as well as some other green gems.

Since it requires exalted Consortium I would expect it to always have at least one blue gem.

Anyone got up to three blues or an epic gem?

I have done this at Honored, Revered, and Exalted. At both honored and revered status I received nothing but a few green quality gems (although I have heard of people getting lucky with blues).

Two months now with the exalted bag and I have received at least 3 blue quality gems each month along with 2 green quality gems. For instance, this month was a Star of Elune and 2 Nightseye gems.

It seems the bag at Exalted is guaranteed rare gems each month from my own experience and that of others I know with the reputation.

Definitely don't regret the time spent farming Consortium rep now, to be sure.

Extremely random loot. Have gotten anywhere from 3 to 1 single blue gem. Only thing guaranteed are the green gems it seems. Not worth grinding consortium rep (if you arent a JC) just to get these "membership benefits".

for the past 4 months i've been exalted and gotten 3 blue gems every time, when revered i got 2 blue gems, when honored only greens

today i got 2 living rubies and a star of elune, shiny ones, not pap like talasite or dawnstone

Your chances at getting a blue are:
(1-0.31) * (1-0.30) * (1-0.30) * (1-0.29) * (1-0.29) * (1-0.28) = 0.1227
(1 - 0.1227) = 0.8773 = 87.83% chance per month of getting 1 rare gem.

(The reason I subtracted those decimals from 1 is to calculate the chance of NOT getting a certain gem, so you have (1-.31) a 69% chance of NOT getting a Living Ruby each month, multiply each of chances of not getting one of the six blue gems by each other to find the chance to not get any of them. (Thats the 12.27%) Then subtract from 1 to find the chance of getting one of the rare gems.)

It appears that some people are not quite really understanding this Quest or "Monthly reward"...It seems that your reputation with the consortium doesn't really matter untill you get to exalted with Consortium, then you will be able to have a better chance of getting a blue gem...I was able to recieve 4 blue gems when i was Revered with them...but I also recieved 3 green gems, but my alt recieved 4 green gems and hes only Friendly with Consortium. This quest is all about luck untill exalted I believe...

but still a great way to get gems none the less...

I've heard that since 2.4 there's a chance of recieving an epic gem from the exalted bag. Can anyone confirm/deny? And if so, what's the %?

I can confirm that this claim is denied. There was nothing about it in the patch notes.

Would be very nice if epic gems were possible at exalted, but so far me or anyone i know who is exalted has ever got an epic gem.

You get this for completing Membership Benifits once a month repeatable quest at Friendly+ Rep with consortium.

- Exaulted Consortuim:
Usually contains 4-5 gems, at least 2 superior quality (blue) gems as well as a few uncomon (green) quality) gems. Very nice bonus for the rep grind :)

actually, i just picked mine up, the least amount of blue gems you get that ive seen so far is 1, not 2.

Sure, they get this fixed (kind of - we have to go to get them rather than getting in the mail), which made me feel better about the consortium rep grind. But by the time they did they nurfed my Guile of Khoraazi...PUNKS!

you should make sure you are revered or exalted with consortium before bothering to get these things, i got a bag of crap at friendly and a bag of doodoo at honored, no blue gems at all.

I just got the stuffed evelope (friendly?) and got a Blue gem in there together with 2 greens. Obviously, its better to wait till youre a higher rep with picking this up within the month. If you dont plan on farming this month, go and get it.

Just a quick question. I understand that you can get these once a month but I am confused about when exactly you can get them? Can you only get them exactly 1 month after you picked up the last one or can you get them on the first of the month or another date? Just curious on when the respawn on these are. Thanks

I got my first one the 31st of October and my second one the 1st of November. That should answer your question.

Make sure to get this done at even the minimum available rep level - with patch 3.4 there will be the ability to make blue gems from green ones.

IMHO, worth the time to grab the bag-o-gems
