This item has been once a reagent for creating Stylin' hats. After the patch 2.3 item was no longer a needed reagent. It has become trash.

You were lucky then, the drop rate is alot lower than stated here as most zhevra's drop nothing at all which isnt registered by wowhead.
Took me over an hour to farm 4. I'd put the drop rate at ~3%

After farming these by request of a level 70 (while i was lvl 28 and just happened to be in the barrens) I collected 25 leathers in an hour. The lvl 70 was offering 5g per leather, obviously he was making the hats. Never seen any on the AH here, no idea how well they sell.

After killing probably 60 Coursers, not one dropped. Had proper drop rate on Runners and Chargers. Recommend focusing on them.

Worst Drop Rate Ever.

Got 4 in an hour from Coursers, and I was killing them very quickly.

On my server they are 20g each xD. (Oceanic-Barthilas)

Drop rate on these is horrible. After around 155 kills, I finally have a stack. If you have an hour to kill, it's not a bad way to spend it. They're easy to kill, I just ran around on my shammy using Frost Shock on them. I'm trying to level up my LW, but after my LW is maxed, this won't be too bad of a way to make some gold. You can sell a stack for around 200g on the auction house, with all the lazy people out there, it will sell too.

Got 3 from approx 16 kills of the ones surrounding xroads. I tried on many occasions to sell my 3 in the horde AH on Velen server for 2g for the 3, never sold. I asked my guild for who wanted them but none of them did. Obviously the hats are the only items that require these and on my low server economy is bad, no demand for these.

Lots of empty loot.

Its really rare drop rate for Zhevra Leather and its hard to farm it you can earn good money on auction house for that because its really hard to find better drop rate is around ratchet.

The reason why these sell good is that leatherworking gets stuck in 355, one of the easiest way to pump at this skill level is to make stylin' hat.s...

Retard whine too much that they can farm up to 20 primals to craft and can't get leather from 15 lvl mobs. In 2.3 this item removed from all recipes (Nice that blizzard don't change texture of item that need Zhevra leather...) and now a vendor trash.

I just wanted to comfirm that this IS a drop. I didn't try to skin, just killed about 90 to get all 4 of my drops. It was slightly annoying, but since you can one-shot them with FROSTSHOCK it almost made it fun ;o)

Just skinned it off the Zhevras in the barrens, although not a very good drop rate so I don't recommend it.

Drop rate is way better than mentioned here. Think its so low here since item was added to loot table later. Anyways, in 30 min I got about 10. Also: they DROP and not SKINN.

I am really Curious on where I can get the patterns that use these. I got 2 Stacks of the stuff, sitting in the bank.

The patterns drop in instances in the burning crusade. I must be really lucky because I have the stylin' crimson hat, and the stylin' purple hat patterns. These patterns are a great way to make money, because the helms both sell for a ton.

There is also a Stylin' Jungle Hat pattern that drops in Black Morass. it doesn't use this leather, but is part of the Stylin' set. lol

This stuff is a really low drop rate. It might be off a low level mob, but it really saves level 60+'s a lot of time to buy these in the AH. For that reason, I've seen these sell for about 3 to 4g. The ones up for a few silver always sell in a matter of minutes.

blizz has a weird sense of humor, some high-level leatherworking recipes in Outland require zhevra leather now..

Don't know what you guys were huntin but took me an 30 Minutes to get 12 Leather..that can't be luck..just keep farming the runners and you'll have your mats in no time at all.

They do NOT drop from skinning, however just around the southern horde village there are lvl 20-21 zhevras that drop en with about 15-20% drop chance. Happy hunting =]

Locate Cross Roads in the Barrens, then concentrate on the area just south. both on the east and west side of gold road. Look for the zebra like creatures. Do not go past the marshy area. and don't bother going north of cross roads. Drop rate was 5 or 6 per hour. But they are there. :)

nvr bothered to make the hats so I had no idea where to get it from, until I started lvling a warrior (alch/herb). From finishing the quests in crossroads I got 2 in total.

By the time I consider making those hats I hope the droprate will be higher with skinning.

Haon here, lvl 44 Night Elf Hunter, Nordrassil realm. This leather drops best from lvl 13-14's, but for best drop rate have someone watch either side ah and pile them up. I have been since my first kill at lvl 16 in Barrens. I now have 200+ pieces in stock in a mule bank these were 90% culled from both ah. I doubt I paid 5g total and have even continued to kill for them in Barrens enroute to Razorfang or 1000 needles. Starting early to amass stockpiles of "garbage" regents is a fun way to have "money in the bank" for a rainy day. Need a hat pattern soon........

on Maiev server, Zhevra leather is selling for ~50 silver a piece (horde)... yeah 50s not even 1g.

As of this most recent patch, this item has become depreciated and no longer used. (gray item) Funny. I have 2 stacks of this vendor trash now.
