Pretty much the best leather chest for feral druids/rogues out there and can last you untill 70. Has everything you need: great stamina, great ap (due to red sockets and a bunch of agility), and decent crit rating. An upgrade to this may be found perhaps only at lvl 69 with https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31295.

i got this @ 62, and added 3x Smooth golden draenite, giving a total of +18 crit rating, since i have about ~48 hit rating from other items, a very niece chest imo.

I'm actually somewhat surprised that no one else has mentioned this, so here it is: Warden's Hauberk is outstanding for Cat Form, even at lvl 70 with Kara on farm. I base my gear on stacking AGI really high, giving insane crit and extra combo points (the huge dodge that I get is great for solo farming as well, since when fighting solo melee mobs, I literally never need to heal myself due to imp lotp, and I can kill 4-6 lvl 70+ nonelites at once by using bear form in my cat gear).

My cat set, despite having nearly all epics in every other slot, still uses this baby for it's unparalleled SIXTY-NINE agi (with 3 Delicate Living Ruby and +6stats enchant). That's pretty much twice as much agi as you'll see on any other piece, giving a huge crit upgrade. My cat set gives me almost 41% crit now, and it was hovering between 38-40 before I started getting really epic'd out. I often find myself shootting a few extra shreds at bleedable bosses before re-applying rip, since I get sooo many crits and extra combo points that I reach 5 CPs before the 12second rip duration is finished (I use rip because it's consistently 3000+ dmg regardless of armor, while FB is only slightly over 3000 when it crits, and it's much much less when it doesn't).

Yes, there are epic chest-pieces out there that beat this out in raw power, even considering crit, but you won't be seeing any of those before T4 or Chestguard of the Connvier, which you'd most likely lose to a rogue anyway.

So all you feral druids who are still lvling to 70 and even those 70's who aren't farming Kara yet: get this chest piece, accept the price of 3 8agi gems and a 6stats enchant, and stop worrying about chest armor for a very long time!

This is actually a very good tunic for hunters as well (of any spec) thanks to the sockets.

Not only does it have an already huge amount of agility, but three red sockets make it that much more attractive. Attack power gems offer a great balance of agility and attack power. (even with +12 attack power gems) I wouldn't suggest +6 agility gems, but if you can afford the rarer +8 agility gems, you're talking an immense 63 agility.

Either way, socketed this beats out anything at the same level range, and many things for a little while past it. The loss of armor is rather insignificant for most situations compared to the damage you'll gain.

For a balanced mail piece, a Felscale Breastplate offers 30 agility and 72 attack power. I don't think you can quite squeeze THAT much "oomph" into those sockets to match it, but that's level 66 req, while this is 62 (and for Survival hunters squeezing every bit of agility, the Warden's Hauberk is still better)

Just to remind anyone who's levelling, agi will scale (think pally's king buff, talents that increase agi by % etc...) but AP wont.... therefore, stacking agi is potentially more useful...

Just got this nice chestpiece for my balance druid's tanking set. Very nice, and the sockets mean it will only grow in power as you find better gems.

the stats on this chest armor is completely awesome for me. I just wish that it looked more like Vest of Vengeance :( but I guess you can put a tabard on it :P and I also love the gem sockets <(@_@<)

Put on it some inscribed topaz and a +6 all stats enchantment, if u are a druid u'll get +2,36 crit chance while in cat form. Of course there u'll get less AP in bear form but if u focus on cat, over 2k-2300 AP it's all about crits

Btw... Really really easy to get, just finish all the CE quests in Zangarmarsh then farm bout 30-40 Unidentified Plant Parts and hand in.

Better if you farm naga and get the unid plant parts then save up all the quests to bump up from revered to exalted.

Then again maybe you don't want to take it that far :)

It's imbaness! I used loads of gold to put in some nice gems (agi&Stam;) I found this way better then dark stalker #$%^. :P No AP? No Crit? I think not, but! 39 agility + Sockets = Good crit & AP, + the stamina.

It's just imba.

OK, 70 feral druid, I have clefthoof for tanking, and Dark Stalker for kitty DPS, if this is better than Dark Stalker, what gems should I socket it with? I'm not poor but I'd rather not spend 300g on gems ><

i don't know if it is. i just hit 69 (rogue) and the dark stalker chest guard dropped in Sethekk. i picked it up. i have the warden's hauberk with 6agi and 24 ap on it. easy gems to purchase. and i'm finding it hard to give up. it seems pretty obvious that the dark stalker chest guard is better but i can't help wondering that if the hauberk were socketed right it might have more potential. very much for a druid too. but at 70 there's a hundred chest pieces to find anyways. as for bear form. i'd say any purple red or orange gems with def rating and stamina on them. but i've never been a tank so that's just imo.

This chest is awesome. First of all, remember that chest carry lots of stats as well as legs and head, instead of wrist, belt and mostly hands arent that imba either.

Look at it like this : as a solo player who doesn't group much (and/or who prefers PVP) this is very easy to get. While going for rep and faction in order to get the recipes for your crafting, you wil see every faction has great armor and weaps (need exalted most of the times for weaps) depending on your class and this chest suits rogues and hunters just fine.

For my rogue I put +8 agi * 3 = 24 agi for 140 gold. If the chest was world drop (would it have sockets then ?) that would be the minimal price at AH anyhow. Fact 2 is that although there are stunning world drops for droods (which my drood 42 will like very much in the future ;-)), rogues are different story. Sure PVP chest lvl 60 https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=16453/field-marshals-leather-chestpiece is as much AV as to grind for cennarion rep but this is as good or even better.

With 63 agi its 37 agi more so even at 70 that would be around 1 crit and almost 2% dodge, not to forget the 37 AP ofcourse. You loose a little hitrating despite the socket bonus which is not really over the top but many BC armor, especially quest rewards, replace it.

So I would say go for it, you can even buy unidentified plant parts for the turn in quest at AH, as herbalist you wil be crushing bog lords anyhow who drop them in great quantities.

Happy solo rogue lvl 65 with 23 %crit, 26 %dodge 6.5K HP and 1200 AP from Wildhammer EU

Well ill just say (i might be wrong but...) U r getting AP from agi too ... So i think its better to have agi that gives u +AP bonus +crit bonus + dodge bonus then just pure +AP bonus. I think agi for rogues is most important +stam is second

Just another thing to point out, if you are a leatherworker, or have one in your circle of friends/guild ask them to craft a Heavy Knothide armor kit for this baby:

Those kits add an additional 10 stam on top of whatever gems you pop in there, which by itself is good-- but its a cheap solution until you get the mats for a decent enchant (like +6 to all stats)

This is a nice chest piece, but it is not in any sense the best or something you should keep using at 70.

In fact, the only way in which this item shines is it's accessibility. It's easy to get honored with CE and the price is super low (imagine what it would cost on AH if a random world drop).

It's great for Hunter, for Rogue, or for Druid. But there's better stuff out there.

I was surprised to find a real PvP difference when I put 3 Solid Star of Elune in this. Aside from the chestpiece not activating it's +4 hitrating bonus because the red gem requirement were not met, I now lasted when Feared & DOT'd up to come back and finish FTW!

There are better drops out there but for many players this will be their first socketed item, and you can buy more that one. What a great opportunity to have a chest piece that you can customize how you like for what you're doing. Have fun with it!

Guys, do not fret if you don't have Elemental LW, or a high enough skill (330- Elemental) to craft it. Just get Honored with Cenarion Expedition and get this, Warden's Hauberk. It is superior, especially if you are not willing to dump the wad down for Primals. Save them for leg kits if you already have the Primals. Do not waste money on Primalstorm. This is easy to get a much better crit % with, just get a JC in your guild to lend you a hand. Sub rogues, bask in this chest pieces's glorious crit %.
