This is tbh much better than the 12 spell dmg socket. It also affects channeled spells now so mind flay and arc missiles = pewpew. It procs fairly often from what ive seen on the ptr :P

With bloodlust, this proc and berserking (troll racial) you could end up with like 1.5 sec pyroblasts :p

It seems that crafting Diamonds does not give a chance of making a discovery of another transmutation recipe. I have crafted Diamonds for about a year with my Alchemist and never procced a single discovery. I then tried Earth to Water and got 3 discoveries in a week.

I made this today, and upon making it there was a big red message that said..
"DISCOVERY! Mytch has discovered how to transmute primal shadow into water."
And learned how to do the transmute. Not sure if that message was just me, or zone wide, or what, but it was unexpected.

On my realm (kul'tiras) the mats cost 150-160g atm, this site says the skyfire diamond is worth 149g that means I cant make money with it atm (hopefully the prices of the mats will drop), the recipe although is easy to get, you just need to get honored with honor hold.
