Less Stamina than Shaarde the Lesser, but it's quite a bit faster, and the additional Agility serves to increase your Dodge somewhat. The hit rating will make it easier to land aggro moves. Seems like a solid tanking weapon, and because of the stats and speed, it would also make a superb offhand for a Fury Warrior or Sword Rogue.

Tavarok isn't too far into the instance, so he's certainly farmable for this beauty.

This is probably the best offhand for a combat sword rogue until 70. The faster the sword, the more energy gained through the Combat Potency talent.

ran this instance many times now, haven't dropped for me. i wish it would drop for me. the drop rate is so wrong on wowhead.

this sword would go perfectly with my combat spec'd rogue. top it off with slice and dice, the dps addition is really high,

This is a nice sword that'd suit many classes depending on their current specc.
1. It's a brilliant OH for sword rogues cause of the stats and the fast hitrate.
2. While it might not always be given first priority to a warrior it is a good weap for fury warriors.
3. This is a flamed out subject but it is also ideal for BM hunters due to the stats boosting the pet as well as the hunter himself.
Priority note: Daggers are generally given first priority to rogues but since many classes can use swords with the appropriate stats don't be surprised if multiple people roll for this and you get outrolled.

Should be noted,
Tankadins don't pass this up. It may lack any spellpower but it's the nicest and probably easist tankadin item you will come across. There is no downside on this weapon.
Agil for better dodge and some armor
Stam for HP (shocker)
Hit rating to hopefully get some more agro
And most importantly its atk speed is <2.0 which means you waste no reckoning charges.

But don't expect a priority, this is a great sword for almost every sword melee class.

I just got this on my newly Protection spec'd Warrior, and it works nicely for tanking. I think I might prefer Shaarde the Lesser even though it is slower as the extra stam and dps are great, and as I understand it the Expertise rating on it is better then the hit rating on this. Thoughts?

This dual wielded with shadowrend longblade is hands down the best set you can get on the road to 70 as a swords spec rouge

To interested parties - the animation on this weapon overrides enchant's animations. In other words, it won't *look* fiery.

I use a dual-wield warrior with 2 of this swords and i'm very pleased of the damage that they deal.
I could say that are a brilliant choice for warriors and rogues:D

its a pretty kick ass sword! it dropped in mana tombs for me finally after my 3rd run in there trying to get it! it has an awesome attack speed and major dps! plus that stats are great and it has an awesome glow! its a great off hand for a lot of classes, especially sword rogues

Have it as an offhand for 64 rogue. With blade fury, and S&D; drops into the low fast speed…combined with instant posion it is hella awsome

is a better hunter wep. do some searching. hunters dont need everything. yes i'm a hunter, yes i said we dont need everything. We are not druids. BTW this can be used as a hunter wep, however there is always something better out there. even for u rogues. Tho i do enjoy the point debate about who gets what. lol if is says hunter its a hunter wap. sayd druid its a druid wep. OMG brain power kicks in oh no! plz save me...

what the heck is with these hunters with " Im a close range hunter FTW!" im a combat rogue level 65 ive been trying to get this sword for some time now and by some time i mean about 5 runs... its dropped twice one time a warrior rolled against me and won /cry but i understand prettty good tanking wep after all... but the second time it dropped a hunter in our group expressed his need for 1hers with hi dps cause he was a close range hunter... me having a level 56 hunter expressed my feelings of him being a total idiot... HUNTERS DONT NEED THIS WEAPON! get hellreaver from ramparts that thing has crit chance etc its better than any 2 1her combos u can get and later on get terroks QUILL DONT STEAL MY GOD DANG SWORDS ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH! >=C

As a hunter, I say, why bother with this junk? It glows? So f@cking what? Spend a little cash on an enchant for a weapon like Terokk's Quill. PWNS this little pigsticker (esp w/savagery on it). A hunter that rolls on this with a rogue or warr in group should be ashamed of him/herself.

Agreed that hunters shouldn't roll unless there is no rogue/fury warrior in the grp however plz don't brg up that crap bout terrok's quill, u get that at 69/70 so that's hardly the pt here. Try Horned Voidaxe, Warsong Howling Axe, or even a green axe/polearm. Hunters are not really efficient dual-wielders anyways: 2h all the way.

this is a dungeon drop, so it's like everyone has to think "dungeon-minded".

sure this is a good MH for a hunter who needs to spam wingclip in PVP. Raiders aren't always PVP minded so they don't fully understand this. So don't blame them, they are not supposed to. They just have other interrest in this game.

That's why it shouldn't even be a question if it's hunters weap or not, you are now playing flow and (sometimes) burst ranged DPS in instances so 2H with good stats and savagery is what u need, no dual wielders.

At the end of the day you BUILD UP YOUR GEAR AND WEAPS IN INSTANCES TO IMPROVE YOURSELVE AND THE GUILD ! So you get further to get the real nice loot with improved stats for your common or next environment. Many dungeons have, right now or in the future, acces to raids which are allways likewise to the original surroundings (frost, fire, shadow, nature etc)so you have to prepare yourselve for that instead of arguing about small stuff.

Surely this is still nice if , ofcourse, no sword rogue or tank is in your group.

I'm more PVP minded Hunter, Pala, Rogue and Drood so i might know just a little about it, but pls correct me if i'm wrong.

I took my level 64 Protection warrior to Mana Tombs for the first time (for this character) and had this sword drop. I was fortunate enough to have my level 70 rogue, who filled in for the rogue who disconnected during a boss-fight and failed to return after waiting for the longest time.

I don't mind this weapon, it's not too bad to tank with. I have had a Hunter roll on swords that I could have used before; both of the swords dropped, which he needed on both and won one of them. He failed to equip the weapon, and when I asked him why, he said he didn't plan on wearing the sword. Since then, I have had very little mercy when it comes to needing on a weapon that I could benefit from, if a Hunter does the same.

I pass when two-handed polearms and some swords drop, if a Hunter is in the group and expresses some slight desire for the weapon. I consider most two-handed swords and all polearms to be Hunters first, everyone else second - but that is just my opinion.

Id just like some advice here. Im a subtlety and assassin rogue and i always had the mindset that off hand should be slow and high base dmg. I got this sword and was using it in my offhand and it just didnt feel right. I looked at the overall dps on it and it was exactly the same as the slower sword (slower sword was lvl 67). Am I missing something here or does it really matter if the speed is faster in off hand for subtlety? It just doesnt feel right for some reason..

Just picked this up today for with my 66 combat rogue. It's excellent in my OH goes great with my main weapon The Stalker's Fangs that I picked up in the Underbog. I'm pretty excited about my weapons now

Creepjacker (First boss mana tombs) MH and The Scimitar would be a kickass combo for either a fury war, or a rogue. I'm looking into getting it, though i'm only 60

Wow i just got Creepjacker AND the scimmy at the same time. Wow how lucky is that? I'm a Sublety Rogue im not sure about having the scimmy as one. Any advice fellow rogues?

this sword is great for a rogue warrior or hunter but plz hunters make sure the rogue or warrior doesnt really need.And if you do need use it dont DE it because what was the point of needing it if you are just gonna DE it.I say this because last night i ran a mana tombs instance with a really good group and i was trying to get the creepjacker(https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=25943/creepjacker) and this sword for my rogue.Being a combat rogue i need some better gear then what i got i so i have been trying to do mana tombs for this gear ive done like 8 times and ive seen all the other gear but the sword or fist never droped for me :(.So last night i got exited because it dropped and it me and warrior needing it then the hunter said think im gonna need it(he was survival spec).So we 3 rolled i lost by 5 i rolled 55 hunter rolled 60 and warrior rolled 3(LOL).So i was disappointed but i kinda knew hunter (we have done this instance together before) but gratzed him anyway.But what maid me mad is he was using a 2 handed axe and said "hmmmm sword isnt as good as i though" (he had anther 1 hander with him cuz he was looking for another)and he freaking DEed it in front of me and warrior.So we flamed him for DEing it and needing it just to DE but we finished the instance and left.But my point still stands that know what gear is good for what class and make sure you NEED it if you need because i know sure he had his chance to get it and he didnt know how it would work for him but still he should have gave to either me 1st or warrior 2nd.And im not saying hunters cant get this wep but when he knew ive done this instance just for two things and he needs it then slaps us in the face by DEing it i say make sure you know what you need before you hit that button

I use this on my OH with Amani-Venom Axe in my MH. Really nice combo on my fury warrior....dish out some nice dps, so for all-out nice dmg, that combo is recommended..

For first and second post, good looks, too many nerfs on warrs, too many hunters sayin'"MY CLASS WEP BACK OFF" no offense to those of ou who don't. Some hunters(not all) think they can roll on every wep tht they can use...ROLL ON A BOW!
