Got this in a run today, and I notice that my sword skill only increased by 3. Any ideas?

Sword seems to have the lowest drop rate and the helm seems to have the highest. Killed this guy 5 times and nothing but the helm dropped.

Quick little fact: There is also a 2 handed sword drop from Mana tombs called Shaarde the Greater.

With the change to Expertise, this weapon has gotten a new edge as a tanking weapon. The Expertise rating gives 4 expertise skill (rounded down) for a combined 1% less chance to be dodged and 1% less chance to be parried (and subsequently hastening an incoming attack). Strictly speaking, this is equivalent to 2% Hit yet at half the item budget cost.

While it still falls short of the Kopesh, it's now much more useful as compared to its previous incarnation.

Weapons with 2.0 or less attack speed are useful for all the protection pallies out there, because with 2.0 attack speed they can take max use of Reckoning talent:

I'm a sword rogue myself, and I have to agree with the above post; this isn't a great sword us. However, do a search for level 61+ mainhand / onehand swords, and you can see that there really isn't that much for us to choose from.

This is actually not a bad tanking sword. Not as great as Warbringer from the Thrallmar rep grind, but an excellent sword nonetheless. Decent damage in the hands of a swordspecced warrior.

Imo they're kinda similar in spite of difficulty.

Got it on my rogue. Kind of felt bad that the warrior didn't win them, but he has the Durn quest sword so it's not too bad.
It doesn't seem that great compared to the Ramparts sword.

A mighty mid-outland warrior tanking weapon.

I, a combat sword rogue, rolled need for this. The Warrior said it was fine, he had Gromtor's Charge after all.

It's really bad for a rogue, but I was replacing the Hellfire intro quest sword with it Foe Reaver, so, when the expertise bonus is factored in, it was an incredibly very very small upgrade.

After 11 Rampart runs with no shows of that main hand, I moved on. And the Stalker's Fangs are yet to drop as well.

Bottom line, Sword rogue here saying this to my fellow sword rogues. Don't roll on this over a needing tank. Roll on it if tanks pass and you had terrible luck in previous instances like I did.
