So only Alliance can get the meat for cooking, the Horde are supposed to get clam meat? Unless a low level hordling wants to go into Alliance territory to get cooking supplies ;) Seems a bit odd.

Yep and it seems only alliance can cook those nifty little spider legs into spider kabobs too, makes it pretty hard to raise cooking while leveling when you're horde. :( I have recipes I can't use, and meat I can't use. Was saving all my spider meat until I could find the recipe and since it didn't come up, looked on here. Pretty crappy if you ask me.

There are Coyotes in the Badlands for the horde..

The coyotes of badlands dont drop coyote meat, instead they drop red wolf meat... cant understand why

Maybe Badlands Coyotes are cousins to the wolves? On a PvE server it shouldn't be a problem to go into Alliance territory though. I can see the issue on PvP servers.

Alright Horde players. Blizz kinda stuck it in our butt on this one. Heres my solution (it works).

Go to Razor Hill. Theres a butcher there. He will sell you a recipie for "Scorpid Surprise". This will stay yellow until 80, and its learnable at 20. While you're out in Durotar grind on some Scorpids, theres only a billion of them. While you're out wack some boars and cook some boar meats while you're making your surprises. As for getting past 80, Im about to see how that goes..GL.
and GG blizz on the coyote meat.

ALSO, the turtles at the oasis drop clams for the clam meat. that will get you past 80 :)

Horde really aren't missing out on much. The coyotes are related to very few quests, if any, and drop the meat on a very low rate. You're better off with strider stew or fishing.

I had a tough time myself finding Coyote meat, especially since Westfall is usually patrolling with 70's(Moonrunner server). Mind you this is for horde... From 1-60 by the small brilliant fish recipe off the fishing supplier in Mulgore (usually 8 silver), and buy some flour and mild spices. Very easy to hit 60. Go to Razorhill and buy the Scorpid Surprise off a the baker there. Grind the millions of scorps in Durotar and you should be on your wasy to 80 cooking. You can hit 85 easily using the scorpid and boar meat(even if their green they still give enough.
For 85+ I would say buy the savory deviate delight recipe or grind for it in the Barrens, (took me 1 hour) and then cook away.

lol... L2 fish... Longjaw Mud snapper's, which can be caught in brightwater lake just outside of The Undercity (many other places of course), can be cooked to get you past 80, and after that you can fish more elsewhere, and cook those fish, for other cooking mats...

I went into westfall and i killed about 20 coyotes and got about 8 peices of meat, drop rate isnt very good

There seriously nowhere else but Westfall to get this? Kinda messed up... once again, Horde gets screwed over. Ugh.

Pick up the Raindow Fin Albacore recipe from Shankys, fishing supplies Shankys
Head out to Ratchet and fish like crazy!

I'm 99/150 in fishing and almost every other cast gives me a Rainbow Fin.

The other fish you get alot of in Ratchet is Raw Slitherskin Mackeral so go get the recipe from Zansoa
