1028.5 armour and 388 HP in bear form with 3/3 Thick Hide and 5/5 Heart of the Wild.
The defence is great but that's not why I like this on my druid, the armour and HP are a great boost. Armour is the primary mitigation for tanking druids, and this has a lot of it. This ring should be in the hit list of gear for any feral druid

I think if there is a feral druid and a warrior in a party who both tank, the druid would get more use out of it. Although, it's not such that the difference is so great that a warrior should discount it. /roll and good luck!

While this may seem obvious, remember that you can wear two of these - they are not Unique!

I use this ring and it's great. Decent + stam and + Def. rating. What else, as a tank, can you ask for? Good to use through 66-70.

Duo'd with a feral druid and holy pally, holy pally was really geared from kara and gruuls but we did it about 10 times to get myself two tanking rings

I set off the bombs (Night elf and 3/3 of the MoD like talent) Just wait till the mob you want pats farthest away from said bomb and put it off and then restealth and do others. After all are set goto the arena like stadium place have your pally drop down and pull the 2 pats of a rifleman and dog after both pats are dead go behind the 3 houses and after the third house take a right and wait for Lieutenant drake to pat their pull him back and wail away.

i use this as a feral druid, i was tanking so i got it, boost my armour by about 1000 pretty sweet

This ring is worth 680 armor for feral druids and is one of the best tanking rings in the game.
There are few rings that are better, but here they are:

Ring of Unyielding Force
Shermanar Great-Ring
Ring of Sundered Souls

Of course the Violet Signet tankin ring from Kara is up there with these.

Not even close. Its a feral Tank ring, that a Warrior also gets a bit out of. Feral priority.

as a warrior, I'd have to say feral druid ring. There's enough other good rings with more stam and more def and some other good stats like dodge/parry or block value. the armor helps a bit, but i'd prolly pass this to a druid if he tanked often. However, that doesn't mean it's wasted on a warrior.

We've killed him at least 15 times and have never seen the ring. We've gotten everything else several times, especially the stupid boots.

Why i like this ring.

*I'm a feral druid mind you.*

170 Armor X 6.05 = 1028 *Roughly*

17 Defense / 2.4 = 7 *Roughly*

2 Of these are ideal because it made my journey to uncritable super easy. And the stamina is superb.

I did replace one of them with https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29276/violet-signet after the first kara run though.

Either way. I could care less if a warrior rolled against me on this. Sta, and Def are great for both. Whateeeever.

armor got nerfed, remember? instead of adding 450% it now adds 400%, so times the armor by 5.5 instead of 6.05.

the new druid formula for armor is (ARMOR*1,1)+((ARMOR*1,1)*4)+(2*AGI)

So this particular ring gives:
(170*1.1)+((170*1.1)*4) = 935 armor

the 1.1 is thick hide, of course. Yeah, being a nitpicker hehe.. In my opinion the best tanking ring before kar (and heroics, taking Ring of Unyielding Force in mind)

After 2 runs I have 2 of them and I'm a warrior though I never group with feral druids so I've never had to roll with anyone else

as a tanking feral druid id just like to say, that feral druids can go cat form and dps, all it takes is a different item set since most if not all feral talents give bonuses to both cat form and bear form. Therefor you CAN have a feral druid that usually tanks and a prot warrior in the same group, since the druid can play a rogue. This is why prot warriors hate druids, we actually have dps. And this ring can of course be rolled on by both warrior and tanking druids, i see no reason for the warrior to pass, except if hes already got better (and the other way around) ppl should realize by now that not every item is for one class only.

i am a 70 protection warr and i would not roll over a feral spec druid on this. the armor bonus is a joke and there are simply better rings out there. however, if a protection warr had just respecced from say fury and his rings had no stam or defense only str and agi i would say go for it... its a definite upgrade.

I guess I havent seen a better ring for a prot spec Warrior at level 66 than this. If I am wrong someone please post a link since it would be useful. A couple posts before this had some links but they were level 68. Just wondering why a tank would pass on this since it seems to be the best ring at this level and if your the warrior in the group you are more than likely the mt since that is your job. Unless there is a better ring out there I would say it would be more suited for a warrior since tanking is their main purpose.

I'm nearing halfway to Revered with Keepers of Time and I still don't have one, let alone a 2nd... maybe I should just keep the Mok'Nathal ring and get the heroic one. If people ran heroics...

because druids should get way more dodge from their other gear, they still need to maintain 415 defense, and the armor.

This ring IMO is actually a protection pally's ring. It has the stam and the defense rating that we pally's so desperatly require in order to be successful tanks. IMO
