this wand sure is worth-getting for s halls runs, very balanced stats, wich gives you decent amount of stam, intel, spelldam, and even spellcrit.

Probably the best wand out there for a level 70 mage, warlock or shadow priest that can be obtained by a regular dungeon run.
The Black Stalk has slightly better stats and about 25 more dps, but requires a heroic Underbog run. After that, you have to go to Karazhan to get a better wand.

Who ate the spelldamage on this thing? This item sucks for pretty much all classes.

https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=25939 is better for classes that need spell hit. Eg. fire and frost mages. https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28386 is even better, but comes from one of the more difficult instances (arcatraz).

https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=27890 is better for classes that need pure spelldamage. Eg. shadowpriests and affliction warlocks.
https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=30859 is even better, but only if you pick Scryers.

https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=25640 is better if you want a mix of spellcrit and spelldamage.

So this item here can only ever be a holdover until you get a proper item for your class and spec.

Only 4 +damage worse then The Black Stalk from underblog, and this seems to be a drop from non heroic Shattered Halls.

Very impressive wand.

Crit chance wands are definately perfect.

I am currently alternating between this one and Nether Core's Control Rod. These two are a great pre end game wands to run Kara and Heroic UB with.

Both the wands are good, but i think i'd prefer having nexus torch. I like the spell crit.
Depends what you want..
