This food may be more useful to healers in longer fights, such as bosses, when you want to maintain your mana pool as much as possible. The alternative is https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=27666#z0z which is more suitable for short to mid-length fights.

The fact that this has both stamina and mp/5 makes it rather nice for a paladin tank, unless you feel like spending alot more gold on the 30 stamina/spirit food.

My priest will use those when she raids, stamina plays a more important role in BC.

This stacks with other buffs - i have it and am a lvl70 priest and have tested this food today and it stacks with all other buffs including PW:Fortitude except obviously other food ( but that is the same for all cooked items, they stack with buffs + pots but not with other eaten cooked foods ).

In my opinion this is currently the best cooking recipe I have found - even better than golden fishsticks with their huge + healing bonus.

I have the 3 piece Primal Mooncloth set + the 2 piece Whitemend set. In full holy gear my stamina is really low so an extra 200 stamina and 8 mp5 is a lot better than more + healing ( i have +1528 healing unbuffed ) and there comes a time when you stop collecting + healing and start looking at other stats to boost.

As a holy priest with +1986 healing i prefer to have something that gives me +stamina. Once u hit a certain +healing it's better to go for +stats. A dead healer is no good no matter what the +healing. Mp5 is great for longer battles and you tend to heal more since your mana is regenerating faster.

Assuming you are never at full mana, this will restore 2,880 mana over the course of its 30 minute duration, or 96 mana per minute. If you have a Stamina issue or don't want to stack any more +healing than, then this isn't a bad option.

The 8 MP5 you get from this is comparable to around 13 spirit out of combat, so any 20 spirit food gives more mana regen so long as you're out of combat at least 35% of the time (which is often the case whilst questing or in dungeons like Black Morass), but in combat this is far better than 20 spirit, if you plan to do continuous fighting with little downtime then this food is great.
