You can just barely make it out, but it looks like we're getting a new recipe that uses this meat soon, as seen at this shot at BlizzCon, the bottom middle cooking recipe:

All that I can make out is that it requires Buzzard Meat, gives some amount of Strength/Spirit, and the yellow flavor text is "Pet tested, Hunter approved".

As of 2.3 these are used to produce Kibbler's Bits, a 20 strengh / 20 spirit Hunter Pet food.... a must-have for all hunters. The recipe is obtained at random from the daily cooking quest, in the Crate of Meat reward option.

These are only dropped by the birds south of Honor Hold in Hellfire Peninsula and the birds around Carrion Hill in Terokar Forest, near Auchidoun. The best place to farm them is in HFP, as they are densely populated, low level / low hp, respawn quickly, and are drawn to nearby bird corpses by smell.

Hello all,

This item is called "Carne de Águila Ratonera" in Spanish and is dropped in Outlands. You need the recipe "Buzzard Bites" to cook them.

You get this recipe as a reward of the quest "Smooth as Butter" given by Legassi, a gobling near the destroyed Zeppelin in Hellfire Peninsula. It's a chained quest.

1.- You get the quest "Ravager Egg Roundup" (must take several eggs).
2.- You get the quest Helboar, the Other White Meat (must take some meat from helboard)
3.- Finally, you get the quest "Smooth as Butter".

After you end this final quest, you'll receive:

5 x Buzzard Bites
Recipe: Buzzard Bites
2 Gold
8900 XP

The Buzzard Bites recipe requires level 300 cooking to learn, and 20 stamina/20 spirit for eating it. It's one of the reasons im gonna level up my cooking; I hear there are even recipes that give you spell dmg and arrack power and such further on.

This item is also used to make , a pet food that gives your pet a +20 bonus to Strength and Spirit. is obtained as a random reward from the Daily Cooking quest, available from The Rokk in Shattrath City.

Recipe: Buzzards Bites.
Quest drop.

Quest giver: Legassi, Hellfire Peninsula (49, 75) Zeb crash site, just south of Honor Hold.

You will need to do a 3 part quest to get the recipe.
1. Ravager Egg Round up
2. Hellboar the other white meat
3. Smooth as Butter
