Just to let YOU know.... Sporeling Snacks are NOT the only pet buff food in the game. There are also Kibler's Bits, which have been available for quite some time now.

well, if we can skip all the grammarcrap, can somebody tell me what exactly they can be used for? I saved them up as they are named in white but have not found a use for it yet:)

The spores are used to cook sporeling snacks (a 310 cooking recipe. Only takes one spore and nothing else to make a sporeling snack.

Once you have cooked the snack,just right click on it and it gives the pet a nice little buff. As many have explained, you don't actually feed em to your pet....just a right click will do the trick.

Actually if you review most of the grammar corrections written here by the Grammar Gestapo you'll see a liberal, if not rampant, incorrect use of quotation marks. Sad.

ALL HUNTER PETS eat these, you just use it as a consumable, not with the feed pet button...the amount of people that have told me "My pet doesn't eat those" really helps explain where the term @#$%^&* came from.

Saw 10 on AH for 1g. Kinda funny. They're not that useful. :P

ive been able to sell them for 1g per stack in the AH, usually they go for 1.5s each. keeping some because im a hunter, but i have enough crap in my bags, they arent really that awesome to keep, heh.

Used to make Sporeling Snacks. Useless otherwise - vendors pretty well. Hard to find people to buy them, but then, that's how it is with everything in BC so far.

ok the sporling snacks u make with these arnt realy pet "food" they are more like a buff. click on it and your pet will get the well fed stat bonus

I found out that they work on warlock demons aswell ;p nice.. (the snack that is)

You have to eat the food and the pet gets the effect.

This food affects Warlock pets as well, and you can't feed a Warlock pet, so this makes perfect sense.

Making it so you can't feed it to your pet normally also prevents using this item for twinks. As cheap as it is to get em, plenty of hunters would do so...

Just right click on the snacks, you should see the food buff icon on your pet instantly.It's nice to finally have something that gives pets a buff.

I'm just going to ask for clarification...do these spores have any other use beside as a food ingredient? I have a few stacks that I would like to get rid of if they don't....

An affliction warlock's imp (or other pets if you take the toggles off) will never cast a spell allowing them to always regenerate mana so that you can Dark Pact them over and over. Ya not all that great a buff to spirit but it is not completely useless. Felguard and Voidwalker also use quite a bit of mana and get some slight help from this. Not to be contrary but not 100% useless.

It is almost free... at high end, you ll need every bit of upgrade you can get... 1 dps may count more than yu could imagine, so yes, a free pet buff is something very nice.

Though it would have been better that some more food for pet give other buffs... (att.pow., str)

Yes, they are drops from Zangarmarsh(Outland) mobs. No B.C. = Head to the AH.

k..to clarify...for those that dont weed through posts before they ask stuff....

A. the item is used in the "pet snack"..only use for it...if you dont use a pet..sell it to someone that does (hunter, warlock)
B. It is a item YOU eat to buff your pet...it buffs your pet..you then can eat another item to buff yourself..they don't cancel each other..and the pet buff is instant.
C.This buffs stamina and spirit..I.E. +200 hp for your pet and faster health and mana/focus regen per 5 sec.
D. there is another pet food in game that uses buzzard meat..it buffs AP (attack power) and spirit.

I might add a strategy note..Ive found the spore snack is great for PVE because of the stam/spirit helps a grind good..and the other one works best in PVP..it gives you a slight edge to your pet vs. others esp. if you are BM hunter.

Not to be confused with Fertile Spores, which drop from the same mobs in Zangarmarsh and are used to gain Sporeggar reputation via Fertile Spores / More Fertile Spores.
