It makes a pretty decent MS sword, +STR, +STM and +Crit, however its speed keeps it from being a really good MS sword. Blizz seems to be putting in a lot of 3.2 to 3.4 speed weapons like this. It makes me wonder if they aren't actively trying to push warriors into Blacksmithing for the really good MS type weapons.

This gives almost exactly 2% critical strike chance at level 70.

Picked it up today from a guild-run Heroic Underbog, my first time there. Was rather strange as I had just earlier in the run messages a Warrior-friend of mine about whether it was superior to my socketable Crow Wing Reaper from Sethekk Halls. Granted, as a Holy Paladin I never get to use any of my two-handers, but they're pretty to look at and I like to entertain delusions of Retribution grandeur in PvP.

Anyways, I came to the conclusion that despite having less attack power than similar weapons, and as the Blacksmithing weapons are out of my reach (JC/Mining) this was a prime choice for the time being considering that the chunk of 45 crit rating is tremendous, especially for Retribution Paladins who find themselves sometimes scaping for crit as much of our gear has been denied +agi.

As always, if you're a Paladin, ask the Warrior first, but that's my policy for most gear that I would be collecting for an off-spec.

It's really sad when you have a really cool looking weapon that's basically garbage since there are sooooooo many superior options out there.

Looks like Heroic Loot from the underbog, since a level 70 item will not drop of a level ~65 boss on normal diffiuclty. Very weak weapon in that case.

Paladin/Warrior priority over this weapon. Hunters, only need this IF paladin/warrior does not need! For hunters, there is Terokk's Quill (+fiftysomething agility and lot'o'stamina).

Saw it in-game yesterday, didn't look pink to me. Blade silver and the grip was brown. Although i have a holy pala i really want this baby for my solo adventures.

aside from the +crit and i guess the str, its a pretty $%^&y 2h for a ret pally (idk about warriors). the base damage is too low, so crusader strike wont hit as hard, seal of blood/command hit for less. i guess you could use it if you were at 0 spell dmg, though idk why you would do that, or used seal of roghteousness

Paladins get Oathkeeper.
Warriors get Apexis Cleaver.

Alternative: do a Weapons search on Thottbot for 2H weapons with DPS higher than 90 and speed higher than 3.40 and you will get a lot of weapons with higher damage ranges (good for SoC and MS), and better stats.

The only reason you'd want this is for the crit%, but I think it's not good enough to sacrifice the damage range for it.

This weapon is really good for ret paladins. Although I prefer The Oathkeeper for it´s slowness, this has the crit+ The Oathkeeer lacks. Rocks for warriors as well.

Heh. It´s like a 70-verson of Blade of Misfortune.

For a MS warrior, wouldn't the strength bonus make up for the lower damage?
