Random drop rate, and for fire resistance its great because of the +15 FR, as well as the protection it gives. Great for a new guild starting and hoping to do MC and what not, but can be easily replaced by the Hyper Radiant Flame Reflector.

its true what Kniteshift says about Hyper Radiant Flame Reflector beeing better, but you have to have 290 in engineering to use it. so for those who aint got engineering, this is THE best trinket to use in MC, ect

There is no amount of resistance that gives 100% chance to resist spells and resists can prevent a percentage of damage from a spell.

As the MT of MC or Onyxia, it is expected that you have AT LEAST 300 fire resist. As a melee class against Ragnaros, you are expected to have at least 250. Casters, I believe its 150, not sure as I'm a rogue. Once you start doing the end raid instances, you will find the need for every bit of fire resist gear you can find. +15 isnt a whole lot on its own, but when you realize its one of the most powerful of the trinket slot, it really pays off. I've been watching for one for over a month now, willing to pay quite a bit for it, Doomhammer horde if anyone has it, send me a mail. The "Use" for it isn't incredibly useful, though.

As for how resists work, it gives both a chance to resist the entire spell and negate partial damage. Very useful on Onyxia also considering one deep breath can inflict over 3600 damage, if none is resisted.

It also pays off against the 4-pulls between Garr and Baron/Shazzrah of MC. The Firewalkers and Flamegaurds can inflict massive damage to the unresisting melee. Golemagg also has a random fireball shot that tends to nail casters, so in the long run its all worth it.

For people that dont like fire resist because you think you wont be able to deal as much damage, think about it. You can't deal damage if you arent alive, and dying just leads to more money invested in repair bills. It's cheaper to repair FR gear anyway as its typically considered "lower quality" than other gear.

Got this yesterday out of Searing Gorge from a chest.
Searing Gorge has by far been my best place for drops. I got my first epic from there ( Robes of Insight sold for 400 G) I got a great blue drop Plated Fist of Hakoo from another chest ( equipped those.) Now this emblam. I will euqip this on my 60 warrior for MC if it does not sell first.. I put it up for a ridiculuos amount just to see.

and to those of you who say "LIAR" to others who post about there guild.. pull yr head outa yr @$$ there guild may ahve diffrent req. then yours no need to sit there trtrashing other players b-cuzz they play diffrent

Hello? You can't have too much FR. Most guild that run MC/BWL on regular basis ask for atleast 150 unbuff for everyone (Except tank that need more than 250)

Since there is FR gear specialized for every classes you can be well protected without lossing most of your stats.

It's sad to say since i want that trinket, but 200-500g is a good price for it.

It could save your a$$ from ony's deep breath or a razorgore conflag.

I got one of these the other day, can't remember where. Posted in trade that I wanted to sell it, said it had great fire resist for onyxia and rag. Almost immediately got a message through saying "Lol, no one goes there anymore". Having read down here more it seems demand for this item has been drastically cut if not destroyed altogether.

But that said, I'm holding out. Its only a few silver to auction it and I could quite happily auction this every day for weeks before selling it and still make a massive profit. Worst case scenario is i'm going to bank it either for myself to go through those instances or incase fire resist instances make a come back (which they might one day, who knows). I guess all it takes is one person who wants it enough to make it valuable.

on my hunter who was 39 and did this wit a group....we killed tethis and he droppped it for me...my hunter is now 64 and it works very well wen taking on fire casters....advice= keep in bank...i got it along with Blade Breathe or w/e and agil booster one i 4got what its called which boosts your agil by 76.....its an orange item ^_^

Just found it in a chest in Tanaris near the Wastewander Bandits and Thieves. I usually sell the world drops that I get, but seeing how many are wanting it for Onyxia and MC made me rethink and just equip it. :p

I notice this trinket isn't unique.

I was grinding on the Silvermane worgs in the Hinterlands when this dropped, I was chatting with guildmates at the time and at first was really puzzled (I'm THAT unused to seeing blues drop =/) I looked it over and kinda sneered. The character I was playing on was a rogue and my main is a hunter, seemed kinda useless to me so I hopped over to this site and looked it up. Needless to say I'm tickled pink to have picked it up :D sadly I only managed to sell it for 105 gold. Yeah, I know, woe is me. Oh well, back to grinding!

I got this today finally, after losing out on bids in the AH house twice prior. This has the highest Fire Resist of any trinket, making it highly sort after for people doing Molten Core. The use is a great bonus and has a 10 minute cooldown. I would pay 200g for this trinket any day.

I found this last week in a ZF run, dropped off random mob. I put up at AH several times for buyout 210g, and each time expired. I almost gave up hope of making that much when finally someone bought it out for 210g after a week of trying to sell it at the AH.

Dropped 2/15/06, level 41 scorpid, Tanaris, just a hindred yards or so west of Gadgetzan, Cenarian Circle.

Auctioneer addon told me that historic value (13 seen) was 290g (alliance). "Not a chance," says I. Jump tp Allakhazam..."OMFG," is me new tune to whistle ;)

Confirmed reality of value with a few MC'ers. Yay!

One of those was in AH for 20g bid, 25g buyout. I buyouted it and put it in AH myself straight away: 90g bid, 110 buyout, if it works my fortune is assured, if it doesn't I will try again, and then if it does not work, well it's a nice trinket anyway...

Completely random... I was farming leather and grinding out 49 on the bloodfen raptors in Dustwallow by their den and one of these dropped... had no idea it was so rare. I don't remember if it was a scytheclaw or a taillasher, but, one dropped. Yay me. Good luck to you seeking this item.

I just bought this in the Azjol-Nerub AH for 2.5g and it sounds like some other people are having similar luck. I think that because the item is so low level people that get it don't realize its value, especially if they haven't heard of or don't know about MC. Whatever reason though, it amazed me to be able to be the one to take advantage of that price. My timing must've been just right.

I picked this up my first run in Uldaman. Everyone needed as it was trinket and noone had trinkets yet. I won and everyone in my group started making offers. 1g,2g,5g. I told everyone I would rather hold onto it thinking I would either use it or sell it. As soon as I said no they raised their offers to 10g, then 15g, then 25g. Finally to shut them up I equipped it and later checked on the AH. The cheapest listing was 300g. I couldnt believe it. I rather enjoy my trinket now.
Anyone know if you can equip 2 of these?

Steeljaw Snapper dropped me one, while farming for Turtle Scales to get my Tribal Leatherworking done, when doing them for about 30 mins. This turtles have a good drop rate of Uncommons too.

Had one drop off a random raptor behind the arena in STV, equipped it before I realised its worth, doh!

Never mind, the following week I had another one drop in Feralas off a hippogryph, after a few no-takers at 150 to 200, it eventually made 100 gold on EU-Aggramar in the Orgrimmar AH.

I'd bought a mount not all that long before, so this put me nicely back in the black :)

Got mine off a scalding whelp on lightning's blade server. Was like...oooh 250g, then I thought about it and was like ooooh 15 fr for my hunter who is now currently doing mc runs. Would be nice to have the 250g but is also nice to have that trinket and not have to pay for it. I was actually grinding on my 41 hunter when I got it, it's a damn sweet trinket, insane for a level 38.

War Effort just started on my server (Tanaris) so I was skimming auctions to see if anyone had any Heavy Leather that I could buy to resell... decided to check some other auctions and found this for 10g, only one up there... grabbed it up and I'm thinking I'm going to hold onto it for a bit and see what the general going price is for it once the raid guilds start heading into MC. :)

I got this today, from a pirate in Tanaris, read from lots of sites and asked a friend, he said at least 150 G, then in the posts, 150 g... So, I said "WTS /w me".. They highest bid I got was 5 g? And as I read more about it, it's one of the 2 best trinket for MC.. And I have read about ppl who have sold it for 300g, median price is 195 g.. Why the hell wont ppl bid more than 5 g's? :p

Got this trinket from a chest at Tanaris (EU-Burning Legion). Being in a hurry and not aware of its value, put it in auction (Ironforge) for testing the offers from the default starting price with no buyout. People kept whispering me to draw it from the AH and sell them. The offers were 6g, 7g, 15g, and 70g successively. Begging, threatening, cursing and everything, can't believe kids get that low for an item in a game :)
Sold for 125g buyout price afterwards, in half an hour.

Don't buy two of this trinkets, just one. U can get another one when u down Ony and turn in the head.
Also, each class has a book to turn in DM Library, only warriors on my server get hustled with a 50G buyout. I got the book for my lock with 4G. That's for a +10 FR trinket. (Royal seal of Eldre Thalas).

Just got this NICE little trinket from a chest in Hinterslands. Almost passed it up too. I was just dorking around in the area after dropping off a quest and being a lvl 57 Pally and remember 2 lvl 50 elites at the alter in the area and wanted to kill them again. Well i killed them and was just about to leave when I noticed a chest that I didnt notice the first time... I was just going to leave it but said hey why not open it... and there it was... nice find too. Almost put it on the AH for 5g... good thing I checked on here first for prices. LOVE this site!

Got mine in STV off Jon-Jon 'Whatever' at one of the Zanzil Ruins. Shocked the crap outa me, as I am level 45 with no mount, and took it, immediately hearthed to IF and sold it in about 30 sec of advertising in the Trade channel for 80g. There was another in the AH for 90g bid 100g BO, but numerous people were telling me going for 70g+ was dumb because the other had been in the AH for about a month and a half. I had to laugh cuz the buyer was a lvl 2 Human Rogue that a Horde char made, went buying FR gear with money transferred through the neutral auction house. Whats funny tho, he told me he was going to put the Emblem in the AH for 1s then buy it as his main, which is impossible because you cant buy your own items, even as another char and faction.
