I would only wear this for physical damage fights because of the lack of stamina on this ring. It isn't very versatile, but I'll use it in my Block value set i'm gonna make.

Block Value is HUGELY under-rated. For a prot warrior it's definitely one of the most important stats.

Against a mob that hits for 1k, a prot warrior should block almost every hit with Impr Shield Block, especially with Impr Thunder Clap. 39 block value would be 3.9% dmg reduction in that fight - show me any stat on any item which gets close to that...

I was using https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=27436 before. But I think this ring is way better for a Proc. Tank. The + stamina is weak sauce, but the +15 shield block and the +39 block value is incredible. I ran Mech. 6 times total and seen this once. Farm it and use it when you need some extra blocks, which is almost always.

Dath'Remar Sunstrider was the leader of the Highborne who survived the War of the Ancients. He had originally been part of the Highborne elves that stayed with Queen Azshara during the War. He was even offered to be turned into a Satyr by Xavius but declined, becoming increasingly uneasy over the Highborne's affiliation with the Burning Legion. When Tyrande Whisperwind was captured by the Satyrs, Dath'Remar took her into his confidence, which eventually lead to him freeing her, and taking a large number of Highborne and escaping from the palace.

If you're farming heroics for the hundreds of badges you need post-2.3, you definitely want to maximize your Block Value.

This one of the best +Block Value items you can get, pre-Zul'Aman and 25-man raids.

732 damage off each hit is massive. Turn on the Auto-blocker and you take 992 off each block. 8 Holy Shield blocks and that's a whopping 7,932 damage mitigated -- nothing to laugh at.

Note that generally choosing block value itemization will lower your overall avoidance. Make sure you fill up your other item slots/sockets with enough to reach uncrittable/uncrushable.

Picked this up last night. Nice stats on this ring.

All 3 bosses dropped tanking gear for me, it was a lucky night.

Well, I managed to grind out exalted rep with the sha'tar for Crest of the Sha'tar (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29176/crest-of-the-shatar) (less than half of that in Arcatraz and most of the rest in the Mechanar and a few runs of Botanica) and I still haven't seen this ring drop one time. At this point there's nothing left for me in Mech besides this ring and it's not worth running anymore considering the low drop rate, and I could be grinding rep with other factions.

Sad panda. :(

I have run mech 15 times easily. I have seen this once. Abacus has dropped only twice. Jade skull breastplate has dropped about 10 times.
